There's the tiniest bit of fish on the left....spent $36

I paid $36 for a rockfish burrito with guacamole and two cans of soda, $3 each I couldn't taste the fish....there was barely any IN the burrito....all I could taste is beans and cheese and the salsa I added to it An employee asked for my thoughts, so I told him the truth: it's a rip-off They brought me a "reindeer" taco with chips as a "sorry." The reindeer tastes like regular spicy pork sausage The guacamole is packaged from Kirkland, but at least it tastes good. Two stars only because they tried to make it right The salsas are nothing to write home about I'm from San Antonio, TX.....I know Mexican food

We are born and raised AK folks who moved away about 4 years ago. The Halibut/rockfish burritos were & still are our favorite food here in Seward! My favorite salsa was always the Aloha. This time I got the chipotle salsa and it was also delicious with a little more heat!

Absolutely disgusting First and last time I will ever eat there. The nachos itself was horribly made with about a spoon full of meat that tasted like it had been sitting for awhile so we literally only ate the chips with salsa because the salsa was actually decent had I known I would have just ordered chips and salsa for $3. Not to mention the nachos were priced at $14 so Ofcourse you'd think there would be enough for two people to munch on... completely thought wrong there was probably enough to feed a five year old. Spoke to the owner only because they asked how our food was so I felt the need to say the truth in a very polite way and he was soo rude back and told me they weren't going no where and basically to bad.

Not as good as the overall ratings suggest. Reasonably good burritos and quesadillas, but a bit pricier than indicated. They were out of rockfish, and the halibut tacos and burritos were $13.08. Halibut was expensive everywhere in town, but for the small amount in their tacos, it can't cost them much. In other words, a cheap eats place that wasn't cheap, and didn't have the seafood listed on their menu. Eliminate halibut and rockfish, and you're onto the usual chicken and pork found at any mexican place, though things like blue cheese add character. They do have a good selection of salsas to choose from, as well as numerous hot sauces. Their menu is imaginative with variety and unexpected ingredient combinations. The atmosphere was lacking (a tiny place, and the few tables there weren't cleaned off, despite things being a little slow). Frankly, we went here because of good Yelp reviews and were disappointed -- it didn't live up to them. I'd say set your expectations appropriately and enjoy quality burritos and tacos with a local flair -- but don't expect much in terms of atmosphere, and don't expect cheap eats - it isn't.

    "Steak taco" is laughable.

Unfortunately after ordering 5 entrees and spending over $100 the food was cold, cheap, and terrible. All of it. Charged $2.00 for store bought guacamole, are you kidding me?? A $15 dollar steak burrito is completely missing steak. COLD halibut tacos that had been sitting out. It's not fresh food. It's assembled and you're overcharged. Stay away. I'm so angry right now at the quality of the "food" and the service was barely meh. We weren't treated well and we still tipped well. I'll NEVER come back/

This place has the best Halibut Tacos in all of Seward! We were highly impressed and will be back when we visit again.

You can smell the BBQ as you walk up. The seating is picnic tables in an outdoor setting. It makes you feel like you are eating a BBQ meal in someone's backyard. You just walk up to the order counter and pick up your food when it is ready and grab a seat. A couple from Texas started Firebrand BBQ when they moved to Seward. It was nice to find some Texas-style BBQ in this little town. The menu has a number of smoke meats like brisket, pulled pork, sausage, turkey and pork belly. Sides are the usual sides that go with BBQ like potato salad and cole slaw. I got the Sandwich Combo with Brisket and Cole Slaw for lunch. I loved my meal and enjoyed my time here with my buddies. Firebrand BBQ has some specialty items like Frito Pie and Loaded BBQ Potato on thier menu. They also serve breakfast before 11am. You can pick up a bottle of their BBQ sauce at the order counter.

Our meat of choice was the brisket, which came shredded. Parts were hard and dry and we doused it with their BBQ sauce which is very watery. Tried a bit of my SIL's pork belly which was hard and dry too. We weren't asked if we wanted onions, jalapeños and pickles, and I didn't realize it until we were almost done. They might have balanced out the meat. Oh well. Wanted to order the crab legs, but they just ran out. Cashier said we could check back later since they were de-thawing more. Outdoor seating only.

We took a walk to the waterfront for 15-20 mins and could have easily gotten a drink somewhere or done some window shopping. Everything was really good - starting with salmon gougere amuse bouche, the soup of the day (curry carrot?), and local oysters to the smoked scallop cocktail. The fried chicken, salmon, and shrimp and grits. We ended up ordering the cream cheese ice cream which ended up taking FOREVER since they forgot about it and never checked on us. Unfortunately the cream cheese ice cream was also kinda disappointing and was just like scooped frozen cheesecake - which don't get me wrong is delish but not worth the wait or $. Service was good until the end. Great wine options! Prices on par with SF and presumably Alaska/touristy areas.

The hostesses were warm and friendly. There is good reason why it's popular. The food that comes out of the kitchen is elevated, creative and tasty---worthy of more sophisticated large urban cities. Service was casual, but proficient. We had oysters, which were tiny but full of tastes of the ocean. There was an amuse bouche of a choux filled with salmon cream. It was light and a good start to the meal. The shrimp with grits was artfully presented and tasted good. The cream of mushroom soup was rich and earthy. Fried chicken was a nice take on a simple dish. And the salmon dish was a clear proof of Alaska's rich waters. Loved this special place.
