first time in Alaska/Seward didn't think they'd have good carne asada coming from cali, best believe they do, very great no flaws about my burrito. Not only do they have good food the cashier service was amazing, very respectful, such a cool food spot, love it

Good vibes, good tacos. Can't ask for much more. Came here the other day with my friend and we got some tasty food and beer. My veggie tacos were filled to the brim. My friend enjoyed his food too. Fast and friendly service, good value for money!

Small little restaurant in downtown Seward. You order then get your table. They call your name you pick up from the counter and bus your own table when finished. I ordered the Elote and Pescado tacos. They were good. The front has a cart with salsa. Very small amount of tables inside. Like an indoor fast food spot.

We enjoyed some tasty tacos at this place. The menu is pretty limited, but it covers all of the bases. Choose your meat and pick the format (taco, burrito, or torta.). We tried the Rockfish (light batter, excellent fresh flavor), Elote (nice version of this classic), Carnitas (deeply spiced, and nicely crispy) and Carne Asada (nice marinade and lean meat). My favorite was the Carnitas, but the rest were also very good. These are above average tacos this far north. The place is small but comfortable and they offer several Mexican beers. You should try this one out.

Really great tacos in downtown Seward. Stopped in right before closing and grabbed a carnitas, carne asada, and rockfish taco. They come with cabbage, onions, and cilantro on a fresh handmade tortilla. All three tacos were delicious but the carnitas was my favorite.

Real fish battered well, lightly fried on corn tortilla. We went back and ordered more because they were delicious. We are from a beach town where fish tacos is a weekly take out meal - these folks legit know how to do fish tacos Very tasty selection of 5 salsas at the self service salsa bar. Open kitchen that was clean and efficient. Lots of cooks but everyone had a job and service was quick. A but pricey but that may be how it is in Alaska

Overall, a solid fast-casual taqueria. The one thing it was missing were house-made chips, salsa, and guacamole. We didn't encounter guacamole frequently in Alaska, so perhaps it's difficult to get/expensive to source there. Service was friendly and the place was packed: when all tables were taken, we were informed that The Lone Chicharrón is attached to the adjacent bar, which had a pass-through window to the restaurant. We order drinks at the bar and the restaurant would pass our order through the window to us. Unfortunately I'd left my ID in our hotel, so was not permitted to enter the bar. Thankfully by the time we'd tried that, a table had opened in the taqueria and we were able to order drinks from The Lone Chicharrón instead. We got two combo orders of tacos plus 1 extra taco (so we could try 1 of each taco on the menu). All were tasty. Appreciated the serve-yourself salsa bar. Would definitely return!

We took a walk to the waterfront for 15-20 mins and could have easily gotten a drink somewhere or done some window shopping. Everything was really good - starting with salmon gougere amuse bouche, the soup of the day (curry carrot?), and local oysters to the smoked scallop cocktail. The fried chicken, salmon, and shrimp and grits. We ended up ordering the cream cheese ice cream which ended up taking FOREVER since they forgot about it and never checked on us. Unfortunately the cream cheese ice cream was also kinda disappointing and was just like scooped frozen cheesecake - which don't get me wrong is delish but not worth the wait or $. Service was good until the end. Great wine options! Prices on par with SF and presumably Alaska/touristy areas.

The hostesses were warm and friendly. There is good reason why it's popular. The food that comes out of the kitchen is elevated, creative and tasty---worthy of more sophisticated large urban cities. Service was casual, but proficient. We had oysters, which were tiny but full of tastes of the ocean. There was an amuse bouche of a choux filled with salmon cream. It was light and a good start to the meal. The shrimp with grits was artfully presented and tasted good. The cream of mushroom soup was rich and earthy. Fried chicken was a nice take on a simple dish. And the salmon dish was a clear proof of Alaska's rich waters. Loved this special place.

You can smell the BBQ as you walk up. The seating is picnic tables in an outdoor setting. It makes you feel like you are eating a BBQ meal in someone's backyard. Our meat of choice was the brisket, which came shredded. Parts were hard and dry and we doused it with their BBQ sauce which is very watery. Tried a bit of my SIL's pork belly which was hard and dry too. We weren't asked if we wanted onions, jalapeños and pickles, and I didn't realize it until we were almost done. They might have balanced out the meat. Oh well. Wanted to order the crab legs, but they just ran out. Cashier said we could check back later since they were de-thawing more. Outdoor seating only.

My son ordered the chicken and waffles- he said the waffles were good but the chicken, tho well fried was completely lacking seasoning My partner ordered the buttermilk fried chicken entree with mashed potatoes and he had the same sentiment- no seasoning and also added that it was a boneless chicken thigh, and the texture was also off putting. I ordered the Alfredo pasta with a bay shrimp add on and the clam chowder- both were okay, my main complaints being that my food was lukewarm while the chicken that my son and partner ordered were steaming hot- the chowder was very well seasoned and flavorful- but also very thick and I got a clam that was gritty. Not a terrible place to eat, their hospitality was great... but also idk if I would go back if given the choice. Based on past reviews, we prob should have ordered burgers.

I walked in and was seated immediately, I chose to sit at the bar because it's just easier and the chairs all have better cushion. After seeing another patron eating a burger i decided to order one too! Great choice. I had the jalapeño burger with bacon jam and man was it delicious. The burger was a perfect medium well, the brioche bun was perfectly toasted, the white cheddar cheese was the perfect complement to the slightly sweet bacon jam, the bacon was crispy, Smokey and not greasy. The only complaint was the slice of tomato that is out of season and tasteless. I mean it is Alaska after all. My seafood chowder which I paid an additional $4.00 for a cup was okay but whatever, the burger made up for it. All in all it was a great experience and delicious meal. Because it was the middle of the afternoon on a weekday, the place wasn't as packed and noisy as it can be sometimes. The ambiance was super relaxed today so I sat and ate inside.
