    2025 menu p.3

In 2025 we went to this restaurant off the beaten path in Seward. What a nice place all by itself. Four of us enjoyed our meals. I had a Mushroom Swiss burger but I don't remember what everyone else ordered. I looked at all of the dishes that other patrons were eating and they all looked great. We came back on another trip. We like this place.

I loved that it was walking distance from our historical haunted hotel. Had dinner on one of the rainy nights and got seated next to window peeking through mountain peaks. Scenic view, food was ok, little extra oily for my taste. Ordered meditarrenean linguini pasta and mushroom bean patty burger. Server was nice.

Food was fine, vibes were weird. Definitely felt more traditional and conservative in both staff and patronage. Food took quite a while to bring out and the freshness was questionable. Blackened chicken on my Caesar salad was precooked and cold when presented -- not my fave way of eating but whatever. We ate at 5-6 other places and liked all of those more than here.

This is one of the few restaurants in town open on Sundays, making it a great go-to spot, especially if you're visiting the area. They do close from 3 to 3:30 p.m. on weekends (and Monday through Friday I believe) to transition from lunch to dinner service, but the brief closure is well worth the wait. The menu offers a variety of options, including pizzas, burgers, soup/salads, sandwiches, and of course, a fair selection of seafood--which was exactly what I was craving. I recommend visiting this restaurant after exploring the Sealife Center, especially if you're on your way back to Anchorage. I ordered the appetizer halibut ceviche, and it did not disappoint! The freshness of the halibut with a good balance of citrus and herbs. The service was fast and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. Prices are reasonable given the quality of both the food and the service. Whether you're in the mood for seafood or something more casual, this place has something. I recommend checking them out for a relaxed, enjoyable meal.

The atmosphere here is casual, with a clear local vibe--definitely a spot where the locals dine. The host was friendly, and our server was polite and knowledgeable. My wife ordered the cod fish tacos, which were so generously portioned that she shared one with me. The taco had a good kick of spiciness, plenty of cod, sour cream (not typical for authentic tacos, but I get that it's their twist), and fresh veggies. However, the flavors didn't quite come together cohesively. Still, it was a decent taco, and the price was fair. Initially, I ordered the Captain's Special, but our server kindly informed me that everything was fried, so I switched to the Seafood Trio. The presentation was excellent, but unfortunately, the shrimp were overcooked, and the scallops, though sweet, were also overdone. The crab cakes felt more like crab stuffing, with more bread, corn, and fillers than actual crab meat. The price seemed a bit high for the portion size. On a positive note, the veggies were cooked perfectly with a great texture, though the rice pilaf was cold and slightly mushy. Overall, I'd rate this place a solid 3 stars based on the atmosphere and service. The food didn't quite meet my expectations, especially for a $40+ seafood trio. However, the fried seafood platters I saw coming out looked fantastic--huge portions and well-priced, though I didn't get a chance to taste them. Despite some missteps, I'd still recommend giving this place a try because they have other items on their menu.

I relied heavily for dinner tonight and we were not disappointed. We started off with a fried calamari appetizer. It was very crunchy and the aioli helped to round out the dish. Small criticism though as there were only 3 heads/tentacles. Usually there's a lot more. Anyway, the mains were delicious. The fried chicken sandwich was well cooked in all of its crispy wonder. The halibut was cooked perfectly and there were a fair amount of vegetables which was very much needed. One of us ordered the clam chowder and while it tasted good, there were a ton of potatoes and very little clams. I had the salmon which came with mashed potato and veggies. The salmon was I little dry (perhaps because it was a skinny piece) but had great flavor. For dessert, we shared a good sized piece of carrot cake. It was very fresh and the frosting wasn't very sweet. Service was very good. All of the staff were smiling and they were attentive to our needs.

Ordered online using the Toast app at 8:10pm. Was given pickup time est. 8:35. Waited until 9pm (closing) for my order. Pizza was flaming hot and the fries and onion rings were room temp. Do the math. Hungry campers didn't mind much. It disappeared pretty quickly. One -medium chicken bacon ranch pizza, order of fries, and order of onion rings =$50 Everything was tasty enough. The chicken on the pizza was bleh but the dog enjoyed it. Without the chicken I really enjoyed the pizza but it was not worth $28. Both fries and onion rings while not fresh or hot, were really good. Customer service was also room temperature. Seems like there aren't a lot of options in Seward that aren't hiking up prices and serving mediocre food. I opted to camp for three additional days on top of the 5 I'd reserved, so when the food ran out, I had to try some Seward fare. I will keep a loaf of bread and some peanut butter and jelly on hand if that happens again.

The food was soooooooooooooooo delicious!!! Especially the fries! They had like a chunky salt on them and were crisp and super fresh! The burger patty was also really flavorful and fresh!

Food- baked halibut was on the dry side, squash/ broccoli/ carrots were excellent, mashed potatoes very good- great flavor. Expensive but all of Alaska is this way. Service- quick and friendly. Would return to try other items.

Clam chowder was great! It was hearty and warm to the soul. Lighting was homey and warm. And waitress was polite and helpful. 10/10 perfect way to end my vacation.

Everyone in my party thought their meals were good but not amazing. My blackened salmon surprisingly didn't have much flavor and my dad didn't like the shrimp pasta. However, the star of the show was my aunts fried chicken. That was actually super good

Excellent fish taco's they can be made with grilled fish not fried so you can actually taste the fish. Also had Sable fish grilled which was buttery and light!

This place is wonderful! We enjoyed the mussels and a caesar salad, the perfect dinner after a long drive to Seward. Our server Cass made us feel right at home and offered amazing drinks and dessert. We will be back!

The restaurant has some lovely old touches, such as the GORGEOUS bar, and many old light fixtures. Service was phenomenal. Wonderful attention to our needs. Now for the food. The menu leaves a lot to be desired. I wish there was a larger variety of salads. However, being that we were next to the ocean in Seward, Alaska, I ordered the fish and chips (halibut) and a bowl of chowder. The halibut was phenomenal. Being an Alaskan I am a picky fish eater, and not all fry is good. This fish fry was crunchy and flavorful. The chowder was yummy. Lots of seafood in it and very creamy. Overall it was delicious.

I tried the chowder bowl, and while it had a nice light, creamy base, it wasn't big on flavor. The seafood portion was decent -- not skimpy, but not overflowing either. It's not one of those chowders that leaves a lasting impression, but it's comforting enough on a cold day. The rockfish/cod was crispy and lightly fried, not too oily, which I appreciated. Flaky inside, well-cooked -- but for the price, I wouldn't have minded an extra piece of fish. A little slaw on the side would've given the dish a much-needed pop or contrast. Again, not bad -- just not super bold in flavor. Same goes for the calamari. My son had the chicken nuggets kids meal... pretty basic. Nothing to rave about, but it did the job. The vibe inside is cozy and laid-back. It's not trying to be fancy, and honestly, I like that. Staff was friendly, and the whole space feels relaxed and welcoming. Portion sizes could be a little more generous for the price, but the menu keeps things simple and familiar. Overall, it's a spot I'd come back to -- maybe for the dinner menu or just when I'm in the mood for easy comfort food. Nothing over-the-top, but sometimes that's exactly what you need.

We took a walk to the waterfront for 15-20 mins and could have easily gotten a drink somewhere or done some window shopping. Service was casual, but proficient. We had oysters, which were tiny but full of tastes of the ocean. There was an amuse bouche of a choux filled with salmon cream. It was light and a good start to the meal. The shrimp with grits was artfully presented and tasted good. The cream of mushroom soup was rich and earthy.
