While on an Anchorage tour, a couple recommended Ray's as a good place to eat in Seward. They were not wrong. My husband and I shared oysters, seafood chowder and fish with chips. Everything was delicious and tasted so fresh. Stan, our server, was professional and friendly. He provided excellent service. Atmosphere was very pleasant. Music was just the right level so talking was very easy. And the view is incredible.

Every local I spoke to said Ray's was the best. I enjoyed a simple dinner of crab legs and local oysters that was delicious. The views of the harbor are spectacular and worth any wait!

Food was excellent and the service was very quick and professional. We were seating overlooking the very picturesque boat harbor. Definitely a return is required .

Calamari was perfectly seasoned. Crab cakes were good. Miso sablefish was my favorite. It had the texture of a Chilean sea bass. Salmon was a bit dry. Halibut was ok. Our server, Ryan, was so nice! The view of the marina is amazing. I'd come back for the miso sablefish.

We stopped in for a quick lunch and only had to wait 5 minutes. The entire restaurant has great views of the harbor and it doesn't seem like there is a bad seat. The chowder was the best we had the entire trip!

Was recommended to stop here during a stop in Steward. Long wait for a table but well worth it. Our food was outstanding as was our waiter. Gorgeous view.

The cold fish and chips. And when I mean cold ice cold to the touch.

For the cost of the food, I don't think it's worth it. Ordered calamari, a burger, a NY strip, seafood linguine and the fish and chips (cod). Had the chocolate dessert and the sundae as well. Calamari was pretty decent. The Burger was ok. NY strip was mediocre and the sides tasted like something from an old folks home. Seafood Linguine was hot and cooked decent and wasn't horrible, but wasn't spectacular either. The fish and chips was fried properly, but it was cold like is sat in the window too long and the tartar sauce had too much onion in it or something and couldn't be eaten more than one bite without being overwhelming. The chocolate desert was meh, but the sundae was better. Service was spectacular. Front of the house was friendly, prompt. I never had my drinks refilled so much and without asking and asking. Plates cleared multiple times throughout our service. Server was great. I tipped 20% The view was awesome as well. Probably will never be back to be honest, but I always wanted to try this place and now I have.

Tanner crab was so good we ordered a second order rice not very flavorful (was mid )broccolini had no seasoning but added salt pepper and butter it was fine. Burger was very good but the beat part was the salad on the side! Tsunami martini has a beautiful lychee flavor Northern lights was full of lavender Service was very quick and attentive especially since the lines to even be seated are out the door! Very busy place with a great view of the harbor

Great service and awesome view! Food was delicious - definitely would eat again next time I'm in Seward.

First recommendation is to make a reservation! We are residents visiting from Anchorage but that dinner rush filled in quickly, especially because of the season. Waited a true hour but it went by fast being able to look around. Overall service and food were great! We had a gorgeous window overlooking the harbor that tied in a great visit. I ordered the chowder as an appetizer and the rockfish as an entree. My mother and I liked the switch up in featuring broccolini. Prices are ranging that $30-50 average for entrees.

    Julia D.

My main recommendation would be make a reservation. They went from no very busy to poppppppin very quickly and a lot of people were waiting. We all loved our food and had a great view. I would 100% come back here and really enjoyed our dinner.

    Crème brûlée- yummy!

Service- Excellent! Cordial, quick, friendly. Food-- very yummy. I had the phyllo dough pie thing that had melted cheese, mushroom, pepper (?), either way it was very good. The review is only 4 stars because the crust was tough to knife thru at the bottom. Sourdough appetizer was very yummy and cheap. Hubby had snow crab legs as the special. Crème brûlée was very yummy dessert! Atmosphere- excellent, had dock side view of sea lion munching on lunch. Just lovely view.

Which I honestly didn't consider since it was toward the end of the season. It just goes to show how good this place was that it was still loaded during this time of the year. Would definitely recommend getting reservations if you want to eat here. We were able to reserve dinner for the next night, and it didn't disappoint. Whatever image that brings up in your mind when you hear Flamingo Lounge, that is the atmosphere you are walking into. We got the Bucket of Butt and the Sourdough Bread Board as well as a couple of drinks. The drinks were top notch, and the Bucket of Butt was some of the best halibut I've ever had in my entire life. If I had one complaint, it's only that there wasn't enough butt in that bucket. If we ever come back to Seward, this is definitely the first place I'll eat at.

First, the place looks like1985 retired inside in a good way. The bar in lined in plush red fabric and the photos, decor and chairs all are retro to the max but what did the food taste like? So I ordered the smash burger and roasted mini Yukon gold potatoes with creme and bacon. The burger was kinda charred I guess but still good, the server never asked how I wanted it cooked so that was a HUGE minus, but it wasn't bad just not great, the flavor was good, the veggies were fresh, just not great! The potatoes were the star of the show! They were perfectly seasoned and the creme and bacon sauce was MONEY!! They literally melt in your mouth and were roasted perfectly without being mushy. The service was good, the vibe was super chill. The place is kinda pricey for what you get but that is everything in this little town. I will be back to try some other things eventually.

I ordered the Alfredo pasta with a bay shrimp add on and the clam chowder- both were okay, my main complaints being that my food was lukewarm while the chicken that my son and partner ordered were steaming hot- the chowder was very well seasoned and flavorful- but also very thick and I got a clam that was gritty. Not a terrible place to eat, their hospitality was great... but also idk if I would go back if given the choice. Based on past reviews, we prob should have ordered burgers.

The burger was a perfect medium well, the brioche bun was perfectly toasted, the white cheddar cheese was the perfect complement to the slightly sweet bacon jam, the bacon was crispy, Smokey and not greasy. The only complaint was the slice of tomato that is out of season and tasteless. I mean it is Alaska after all. My seafood chowder which I paid an additional $4.00 for a cup was okay but whatever, the burger made up for it. All in all it was a great experience and delicious meal.
