Delicious authentic New Mexico food in Seward! I wanted enchiladas that were not on the menu and they made them for me! They are the best!

The kicker was their spicy rowdy relish, though! It was packed with flavor and very fragrant! There was very inviting seating available inside and outside, and even games to play and sit and linger a bit--and the staff was super kind and knowledgable and made it very easy to feel like you could do just that! Music was lovely and the art on the walls was beautiful to take in, as well! It was such a delight to find such a charming breakfast spot while in Seward, and we know exactly where to go when we go back!!!

At 9:55, after watching people who ordered after us get served, I asked again. I was told there were still five orders ahead of us and that they had simply forgotten ours. They offered a refund and said it had been processed. I took three cold sandwiches instead and left. The refund never arrived. I called; they said it hadn't gone through but would. It still didn't. I eventually had to dispute the charge with my bank, and even then only received a partial refund: $32.10 back on a $65.86 order, with the drinks alone costing about $15 per their own menu. My bank asked for a receipt, which I didn't have, I don't recall being offered one. The hot chocolate was good. The sandwiches were average, and cold. Two pieces of advice if you go: keep your receipt, and check on your order regularly. Looking at other reviews, being forgotten seems to be a recurring problem here. Update: I finally obtained an itemized breakdown after filing a BBB complaint. It confirms what I suspected: the sausage frittata -- an item I ordered, paid for, and never received -- was not refunded at all. So they kept payment for food that never left their kitchen.

My wife and I both love Halibut and were looking to try some fresh caught, while our cruise ship was docked in Seward. We strolled up town a couple of blocks from the Alaskan Sea-life Center and saw that Gold Rush Bistro had some on their lunch menu and decided to stop in. Surprisingly there was no wait at 12:30 (lunch time) their smiling staff were happy to see us. We were greeted, seated and able to order very quickly. That being said, the place started to fill up pretty fast. As we waited, the lady that was sitting next to us when we sat down, had a god awful amount of perfume on, after a few minutes of choking, we politely as to be moved to another table and were happily accommodated, no hassle at all. I've had Halibut many times in the past, but none have been as delicious as the Garlic Halibut that they serve here. One word, OUTSTANDING!!! The decor inside was beautiful, with a homey wood vibe (see pics). Looking out the front window there was an amazing view of some of the surrounding Mountains. If you find yourself in Seward and are a little tired of the food on your cruise or just happen to be in town for another reason, I would highly recommend Gold Rush Bistro.

What an absolute gem. I don't think my review will do them justice…read more A cute little creperie owned and run by the original owners. Right inside the door, you'll find a full crepe station ready to prepare your breakfast. We came for an early breakfast twice on our visit, and the owner was prepped and ready to go! They have a full page of crepe options, both savory and dessert. So we ended up trying 1 of each between our visits. Their Crepe Compote Maison was light and flavorful while their Crepe Boeuf Passion had a bit more punch with the creamy beef. Both were equally delicious, just depends on what you're more in the mood for. They also have an impressive hot tea selection served steeped in a teapot. Tried a different one each of the days - both great starts to the morning. Such a cozy, homey feel inside. Our table had different news articles and information about the creperie, and it was a fun way to learn more about the restaurant. Plus, our waitress was so kind. Wonderful experience. We were only in Seward 3 days, but I would have gladly continued to eat here for breakfast each day of our full trip to Alaska to try both their crepes and their teas. Highly recommend.

Tried it out our first morning in Seward, and it didn't disappoint. Going in, it felt like being welcomed to someone's home. We got seated immediately, and Janet (the owner and crepe master) was there to greet us with a good morning and cook us some tasty crepes. You have a choice between dessert crepes and savory crepes. And, honestly, you can't go wrong with either. They also have a great collection of teas, and the coffee is brewed fresh daily by Janet. If you need hot drinks, a warm environment, and delicious crepes, then stop by.
