Aesthetically pleasing food truck if I'm being honest. View is hard to beat too.

boo!! expensive pricing, like $16 for a tiny bowl of soup type pricing. soup was honestly super mid as well, and the server was inattentive. nobody was there when we went, but honestly I can't understand why anyone would go.

I ordered the Not A Pie Chicken Pot Soup and although it's advertised as creamy it was quite brothy. Flavor of the soup was fine, but it seemed like canned chicken which was disappointing. Flavor of the rosemary biscuits seemed a bit off to me. Paid about $16 and was still hungry.

Went here on a rainy day and got a soup flight of Soul Meets Banh Mi, chicken pot pie (forget the official name), and the jalapeno corn chowder special. They were all great! I think the banh mi was my favorite. The pickled veggies she adds to the soup were very tasty.

Flight of Poblano Chile, BahnMi, and Philly Cheesesteak All excellent and tasty soups. Perfect for a rainy day but I am a soup superfan so any day/time is a perfect for soup. Spicy grilled cheese was flavorful with lots of cheese pull. A little greasy on the toasting of the bread. Short wait time. Nice little seating set-up. I'll be back. Glad to support a local food truck. And happy to support Soup!!

Visiting Seward with my family and we all tired with american food. We just want warm or hot soup. Found this small food truck and we give it a try of their soup. Delicious soup for cols weather. Definitely must try if you in the area! They give 2 balls of rice or tacos depends on what soup you order. I like the spicy soup that they have. They only have 1 kind spicy soup and it's so good. The portion only enough for 1 person in cold weather. Price is $13/ bowl. They have canopy outside chair and table.

Must try!! We had the banh mi, poblano relleno, and French onion soups and all were excellent! Also had the Is It Spicy grilled cheese and I think I could eat that every day...it's that good!! I would highly recommend!

    Great place for soup!!

We were hungry and we could choose all the well-known tourist eateries and pay big bucks, or we could go into Alaska Seafood Grill for a more quiet, family-friendly experience. Walking in at 12:40 PM, we saw that we needed to order at the counter and they would bring the food to our table. There were some open tables, so we did not have to wait to be seated. We reviewed the items on the chalkboard menu above the ordering counter. I don't eat seafood, but luckily they offered a BBQ Bacon Burger with fries. My wife ordered seafood chowder. We also ordered a side of onion rings and bought a brownie for later. I found the burger and fries to be very filling and tasty. My wife enjoyed her chowder. We both liked the onion rings, which were NOT greasy at all. The brownie was soft, chocolatey, and VERY good, just the way we like it. The inside of the restaurant is definitely not what you would call a high-end environment. But, it was clean, quiet, functional, bright, and, most importantly, had clean tables and chairs on which to sit. The staff were all very friendly and answered all our questions. There was a man, perhaps he was the manager?, who walked, dressed, and spoke like he would be more at home in Boston instead of Seward. This is NOT a complaint about him, just an observation. We spoke with him and he answered all our questions in a friendly manner. I don't know that we will ever visit Seward again, but if we do we would definitely return to Alaska Seafood Grill for lunch.

Prices lean toward the higher side for a casual establishment though that seems to be the norm in Seward. For comparison, I paid about the same for fish and chips at another nice restaurant nearby the night before. A heads-up: the fish here is fried with panko breading, so if you're (like me) expecting New Zealand-style or classic English beer-battered this might not hit the mark. The fries were excellent tho and the seafood chowder was the real star--rich, flavorful, and loaded with salmon chunks. Would I order the fish and chips again? Probably not. But I'd definitely come back just for seafood chowder!!

This place doesn't take reservations and gets super busy. There's a lot of beautiful art hung up all around the restaurant. Several different locals had all recommended The Cookery for a date night, and we'd enjoyed their other spot, Lone Chicharrón, so we took a chance. It took about 15 minutes to get a table for two. The dining area is hip and funky, but also clean and spacious. Our server was a pro and got us sorted on drinks. I really enjoyed her suggested local beer, the Ky PA. We didn't have anything we didn't like. The standouts for me were the mushroom toast, the shrimp and grits, and the Homer raw oysters. The roast halibut and seafood chowder were also really good. For dessert we had the grilled angel food cake with blueberries. They were out of the lemon tarragon sorbet, but subbed in the chocolate coconut sorbet, and it was still very good. Overall a great final meal in Seward. Glad we stopped by!

Today I remembered to do all the things including take pictures of my food. I walked in and was seated immediately, I chose to sit at the bar because it's just easier and the chairs all have better cushion. After seeing another patron eating a burger i decided to order one too! Great choice. I had the jalapeño burger with bacon jam and man was it delicious. The burger was a perfect medium well, the brioche bun was perfectly toasted, the white cheddar cheese was the perfect complement to the slightly sweet bacon jam, the bacon was crispy, Smokey and not greasy. The only complaint was the slice of tomato that is out of season and tasteless. I mean it is Alaska after all. My seafood chowder which I paid an additional $4.00 for a cup was okay but whatever, the burger made up for it. All in all it was a great experience and delicious meal. Because it was the middle of the afternoon on a weekday, the place wasn't as packed and noisy as it can be sometimes. The ambiance was super relaxed today so I sat and ate inside. I absolutely loved the gluten-free coating on the halibut since I'm not a fan of tempura-style batter. The Tanner crab was amazing, and the fried pickles were also great, though the portion was huge (definitely too much for one person). Service was excellent both nights. The bartenders were really friendly, and the food came out quickly and smoothly. The interior is also super cute, kind of an old-school lounge vibe with lots of velvet. First, the place looks like1985 retired inside in a good way. The bar in lined in plush red fabric and the photos, decor and chairs all are retro to the max but what did the food taste like? So I ordered the smash burger and roasted mini Yukon gold potatoes with creme and bacon. The burger was kinda charred I guess but still good, the server never asked how I wanted it cooked so that was a HUGE minus, but it wasn't bad just not great, the flavor was good, the veggies were fresh, just not great! The potatoes were the star of the show! They were perfectly seasoned and the creme and bacon sauce was MONEY!! They literally melt in your mouth and were roasted perfectly without being mushy. The service was good, the vibe was super chill. The place is kinda pricey for what you get but that is everything in this little town. I will be back to try some other things eventually.
