I brought my road bike in for a big tune-up. The guys did a really great job listening and then explaining what they wanted to do and how much it was going to cost. They did a really quality job. My housemates now bring their bikes over to get tuned up as well. The shop is small but has a great selection of bikes for its size for sale. I love riding. My kids do too. The crew at Klink have tuned my family's bikes for a few years and taken the time to explain or correct anything I had a question about. They treat me like a person. Not a clueless girl, or a noob (even if I some noob questions) They are knowledgeable, helpful, and fairly priced IMO. I've gone to other bike shops and been treated as a customer, or a waste of time. But any time I roll into Klink and hear the bee dee dee of the door chime, I know I'm going to be greeted and treated as a member of the cycling community. While Eugene isn't lacking in bike shops, feeling comfortable in a shop is a high priority to me. read more

Michael is the real deal. A one-man operation that keeps me coming back. He's friendly, even-keeled, knowledgeable and patient. I have a very nice gravel bike that I wiped out on while being chased by three dogs on Powerline road in Coburg. (Everybody knows about those dogs except animal control.) Ended up throwing my chain and wrapping it around the - CF - crank. Was told by the shop where I bought it at that there would be a 2wk wait for it to be fixed. Took it to Klink and they fixed it in 2 days. They also offered to use cheaper parts than the fancy Ultegra gear that came on it. Seeing the fancy bike they could have attempted to upsell our gouge me, they didn't:) This is a good business and I'll be going back. You should too. read more

I am so impressed with this shop. I took in four old bikes that hadn't been ridden in many years. Chad looked them over right away and and gave me recommendations on which were worth repairing and which ones weren't. We chose one bike to start with and they gave me an estimate. Have used Klink several times since the place I bought my bike has been too busy, or not really all that interested it seemed. About two months ago I had them upgrade to some new tires from 25mm to 28mm. It was not the intention to do this, but it was recommended to smooth the ride and it did work. Then recently they set me up with a new chain and tune up. Probably hasn't run this well since it was new. I like that they are a neighborhood shop and feel like it. Some of the others not so much. So, I purchased a used baby seat for my bike and asked if they could install it (it had all the pecies, we compared to the new one we bought) they had said no because they didn't want to be held liable if anything was to happen. So we returned the used one and bought a a new one and had them install the new one and was quoted around $25 dollars. My husband went to pick up the bike the next day and the bill was $45. He paid, I went back because they had left a piece that we needed and I asked why it was so much. He said it took him over an hour to get it on, and that he had added a part on because it didn't fit properly. (Which wouldn't that hold him liable if anything happened.) So I said it seemed like alot, and he said sorry and I said I wouldn't be back. So I paid $20 more for a new product to only be charged almost double for what I was quoted, I will not be going back. read more

The work they provide on your bike is superb, they handle it with care and treat it like it's their own. My bike needed some tender love and care. Klink Cycles happened to be the closest shop from where I lived at the time. They did a great job fixing it up, tightening cables, replacing the handlebar tape, cleaning it up, and replacing my back wheel with one with more spokes so that it could support my panniers better. This is my go-to shop for repair and maintenance work. Their mechanics are very knowledgeable about bicycles both new and old. They sell refurbished and new bikes. They have a DT Swiss certified wheel builder on staff that built a front wheel for me that is flawless. For retail they are less useful for discerning cyclists, as they tend to keep only very basic parts in stock, although they do keep the odd Nitto handlebars and Brooks saddle around. read more

I mostly do my own repairs, but they did a most excellent job rebuilding the rims on my Bridgestone. And they have a very good and reasonably-price selection of parts, and some cool used bikes. The thing I like best is that the folks here appreciate old-school, steel-framed bikes, understand why retro-grouches like me like them, and would rather repurpose a used bike for you, rather than sell you a new one, unlike most of the shops in town, even though they make more money on new bikes.
