It had a line and a lot of people waiting for food. They offer a nice variety with sandwiches. Service was friendly but felt slightly slow. This was one massive sandwich. At first I thought $20 for a sandwich and Diet Coke was high, but at least the sandwich value was appropriate! This was loaded up and enough for two meals. I would come back and try another sub if I'm in the area.

So it isn't uncommon for someone to camp out with their book or PC fir a while. Penny Drip has a variety of simple food and drink items. We haven't tried the food. On this occasion we had coffee and a specialty drink. The coffee was served in a nice large ceramic cup. Great for a warm comforting beverage. The bubble gum rose iced drink was very creative. Cool, refreshing and tasty!

After spending over $100, not including the tip, I expected much better service. She wouldn't even look at me when I was speaking to her and created an unwelcoming, hostile environment from start to finish. Given her leadership role, I found this especially disappointing because team leads help set the standard for customer service. I do not recommend this place. If you're looking for great service and good food, I'd recommend going to The Deck instead.

So when I say Taste of Philly in little Roanoke, IN actually delivers the real deal, I mean it. These aren't some sad Midwestern approximation with weird toppings and dry meat. They're true-to-the-name cheesesteaks -- juicy, properly seasoned, and put together the way they should be. The sandwiches are consistently great, the variety is legitimately impressive (they're not just phoning in the same three options), and the service is excellent and friendly without being over-the-top. The whole place just has that cheesesteak vibe -- casual, no-nonsense, and focused on getting the food right. Five stars, easy. If you're anywhere near Roanoke and craving an actual cheesesteak instead of a disappointment, go here.

Dash In - historic downtown breakfast or lunch option…read more First off...Dash In won't appeal to everyone. The prices are a bit high compared to other places with similar food items. Parking may be a challenge depending on the time of day. And the dinning area is small. Dash In has been a downtown Fort Wayne eatery option for many years. They are located on Calhoun Street next to Pint & Slice and a couple blocks south of the court house. This restaurant has retained the vintage building feel. The interior brick and wood work are very attractive to go along with the more modern decor. The bar is very attractive. They have a very small street level outside patio if that is your preference. The shop is very small. I'm guessing the bar seats about 10 people. The main dinning area probably seats about 40. The team here is very friendly and welcoming. They hustle to serve. We went on a late Sunday afternoon and didn't not have to wait. I don't think they take reservations. There are lots of people coming and going with carry out orders. Today we had no problem finding a street parking spot. There is a parking garage nearby if no street spots are available. The menu is actually fairly broad. They have a special brunch menu along with a breakfast all day menu. There were several sandwiches and wraps available. A couple salads too. The coffee and alcoholic drink menus were very large. We didn't have either of these products this time so I can't give you any feedback on them. They have a special soup du jour and deli side selection. Today it was a mushroom arugula soup and caprese salad side. My wife loves breakfast and ordered a make-to-order omelette with a side of grilled vegetables. She really liked the light tasting eggs and fresh tasting vegetables. The tomato bisque soup is one of their staples. It is delicious and would be great with a grilled cheese sandwich from the menu. The soup was smooth and creamy. It had a gentle tomato flavor along with a more predominant milk/cream base. The soup surprisingly has a stronger spicy after taste - still outstandingly delicious! The side salad is very simple. It has a combination of fresh spring mix lettuce along with a minimal amount of onion, cheese and red pepper. The honey mustard dressing was smooth, creamy, thick and a bit spicy. It was mild on the honey/sweet taste while stronger on the mustard accent. The Italian panini sandwich was very good. The ciabatta bread was slightly grilled with a firmer exterior but not crunchy. The bread had a very freshly baked taste. The sandwich had a high quality tasting ham, pepperoni, salami and provolone cheese. The meats weren't piled high...but enough to get the flavor from each. The grilled onions and banana peppers gave the sandwich a nice zing. The pleasant aioli sauce moistened the sandwich and blended the spicy meats with the zippy onions and banana peppers. Overall the food quality was excellent yet a bit more costly than you might expect. The service was spot on and helped make it a pleasant dinning experience. The older building design, if you like that, adds to the overall experience. Give them a try!

Hubby wanted to eat lighter, so ordered the peppers, onions, and sausage appetizers simmered in red sauce. The portion was huge and definitely enough for his main entree. Another of our party ordered spaghetti and meatballs side, which he also enjoyed and was a huge portion. We loved the hot breadsticks. The only down side is that my daughter's entree was late. The server told us that the kitchen had pretty much just spaced it and didn't start making her food with the rest of our order. She did not receive her entrée until all of the rest of us were completely finished eating. Well, we were good natured about it and didn't create a fuss or complain or asked to talk to a manager,, but Salvatori's also didn't take the initiative to offer any additional words of explanation, apology, or even a coupon off our next visit. My daughter's entrée came out so hot, that the ceramic plate was actually steaming. Ordinarily that is not a bad thing if she would receive her order at the same time as everyone else.. She felt so awkward about having to wait until it cools off before she can eat, and knowing that all the rest of us were finished and waiting on her that she just pretty much asked for a box and packed it up to take it home. That was a bit of a bummer.
