Breaded Pork Tenderloin Sandwich
Tavid M.

Went there twice in two weeks. Small out of the way diner with maybe 28 seats. Diners are also neighbors and will strike up a conversation with you. Great people and fun time. Food was very good, quick and fast both for breakfast and lunch. The breaded tenderloin especially was THICK and juicy, not pounded flat like a pizza. Yum! Highly recommend this place on the Wells corridor in downtown Fort Wayne.

#1. Two Eggs the Way You Like

We were in town for a bowling tournament. Looked for breakfast spots and found this one. When we got there they were packed but it moved quickly. We had to wait a minute because there was five of us. We were seated and they waited on us right away. Everyone was so nice. Food came out quick and everything was great!! No wonder this is a hot spot!! Everything had great flavor and the portions were big. Definitely get your moneys worth. If we are ever in town again we will be back!!

The door facing wells street is only for emergency exit. Entrance to the diner is on the south side of the building

It's a mom & pop diner for sure. I had breakfast. The #1. 2 eggs, potato's, meat (I had ham) and toast. Coffee& water. I did add onions to m my potatoes. 75 cent up charge. Total bill $11.70 + tip. It was worth it. Atmosphere was most enjoyable for me. I highly recommend Klemm's Kafe on 1429 N Wells st.

Garbage plate with rye toast. So good!

Love this place! Not a ton of parking or seating, but worth it. Great service! You know this place is legit because it seems like a place with many repeat customers. The garbage plate is one of the main dishes. Basically, it's a skillet with potatoes, eggs, tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, and sausage.... All covered in gravy. Very filling, but great for a cold day.

Eat it!

Solid breakfast place! We were in the city for a wedding and I yelped breakfast on Saturday morning. Ended up here. Parking was a little tight, but it definitely had character. The place was hopping. Standard breakfast fare. If I lived in Fort Wayne I'd definitely go back. If you're in town, give it a try. It is not fancy at all, but good breakfast!

Croissant sandwich with bacon, egg, and cheese as well as a side of coleslaw.

An adorable hole in the wall restaurant that is popular with the locals. The staff are friendly and the service is fast. I got the croissant sandwich with bacon, cheese, and egg. The inside of the sandwich was great and the bacon was flavorful. My issue was with the croissant - it tasted like a cheap, Pillsbury crescent roll.

#12. Garbage Plate

What a wonderful little find. small place with big portions. The garbage plate was amazing. Plenty of food. You will not leave here hungry. The prices are the best in town.

I cannot say enough good things about Klemm's!!!! They advertise themselves as the best breakfast in town, and based on the meal i had, the argument is very solid. It is a cozy old school throwback that runs very efficiently. We were greeted with a "Hello, friend!" by our server. Coffee arrived almost instantaneously, and the food was out quick. There are several menu combinations and options...literally something for everyone. I ordered the "Garbage" plate which comes with your choice of sausage or chorizo, but I asked for ham instead. You can also scramble in tomatoes, peppers, and onions. Come with a side of toast. Let me just say that the American Fries are legit! You can watch them bring fried on the grill, and they are real potatoes--not the frozen hash browns typical of other breakfast establishments. It was an incredibly tasty dish! My coffee cup never ran dry until I wasready to leave. The service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere of this place was just very neat. Five stars isn't enough to do this place justice...it needs a minimum of 8! Believe the reviews on here, do yourself a favor, and treat yourself to an excellent breakfast at Klemm's!

We drove from the south side of town based on Yelp saying you were open until 2:00. You close at 1:00 so keep customers informed please.

Penny Drip was open at 8:30am (blasting incredible music btw), ready to go. I got a vanilla latte (for me) and a pistachio matcha (my partner). Latte was great and the matcha was one of the best matchas I've ever tasted. Syrup was mixed perfectly - subtle matcha taste - everything you love to see. Loved their vibe - will definitely visit again when we're back in FW. Will need to try their vegan breakfast sandwich!

The environment has a slightly industrial feel with just a hint of coziness, which gives it a modern but still comfortable vibe. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel. It was alright -- nothing special, but given the size and volume of the place, I don't necessarily expect everything to be made completely fresh to order. It did the job. The service was also just alright. My interaction with the barista/bartender was brief and unfortunately a bit stale. She wasn't rude, just not particularly warm or memorable. Overall, it's a convenient place with a lot of options, but the experience itself was pretty average.

Dash In - historic downtown breakfast or lunch option…read more First off...Dash In won't appeal to everyone. The prices are a bit high compared to other places with similar food items. Parking may be a challenge depending on the time of day. And the dinning area is small. Dash In has been a downtown Fort Wayne eatery option for many years. They are located on Calhoun Street next to Pint & Slice and a couple blocks south of the court house. This restaurant has retained the vintage building feel. The interior brick and wood work are very attractive to go along with the more modern decor. The bar is very attractive. They have a very small street level outside patio if that is your preference. The shop is very small. I'm guessing the bar seats about 10 people. The main dinning area probably seats about 40. The team here is very friendly and welcoming. They hustle to serve. We went on a late Sunday afternoon and didn't not have to wait. I don't think they take reservations. There are lots of people coming and going with carry out orders. Today we had no problem finding a street parking spot. There is a parking garage nearby if no street spots are available. The menu is actually fairly broad. They have a special brunch menu along with a breakfast all day menu. There were several sandwiches and wraps available. A couple salads too. The coffee and alcoholic drink menus were very large. We didn't have either of these products this time so I can't give you any feedback on them. They have a special soup du jour and deli side selection. Today it was a mushroom arugula soup and caprese salad side. My wife loves breakfast and ordered a make-to-order omelette with a side of grilled vegetables. She really liked the light tasting eggs and fresh tasting vegetables. The tomato bisque soup is one of their staples. It is delicious and would be great with a grilled cheese sandwich from the menu. The soup was smooth and creamy. It had a gentle tomato flavor along with a more predominant milk/cream base. The soup surprisingly has a stronger spicy after taste - still outstandingly delicious! The side salad is very simple. It has a combination of fresh spring mix lettuce along with a minimal amount of onion, cheese and red pepper. The honey mustard dressing was smooth, creamy, thick and a bit spicy. It was mild on the honey/sweet taste while stronger on the mustard accent. The Italian panini sandwich was very good. The ciabatta bread was slightly grilled with a firmer exterior but not crunchy. The bread had a very freshly baked taste. The sandwich had a high quality tasting ham, pepperoni, salami and provolone cheese. The meats weren't piled high...but enough to get the flavor from each. The grilled onions and banana peppers gave the sandwich a nice zing. The pleasant aioli sauce moistened the sandwich and blended the spicy meats with the zippy onions and banana peppers. Overall the food quality was excellent yet a bit more costly than you might expect. The service was spot on and helped make it a pleasant dinning experience. The older building design, if you like that, adds to the overall experience. Give them a try!

We absolutely love, rise and roll and always have to make a stop at least once during our trip…read moretrips up to Fort Wayne. The quality of these baked goods are out of this world. They are literally some of the best donuts you will ever eat in your life. We ordered three donuts. They were all super fresh and baked that day. We also love their gravy so we ordered a few savory items. The egg muffin was so good especially with gravy on top. The hashbrowns were very crispy and nice and come with ketchup. Everything is very affordably priced. The bakery itself has a nice layout and we usually get some things to go to take on our trip home. They also have some nice items like mugs and other things that you can buy for a trip. They have a good refrigerator section with some good milk selections and juices and also some pies and other cold items that are baked as well. The staff is of course extremely friendly. The tables are clean and the bathroom is very clean and nice. We absolutely love this establishment and can't wait to be back on our next trip.

The custard was very yummy and creamy. I do wish the Bavarian cream was a bit more dispersed throughout but it's still delicious. I also got a blueberry cake for later and I'm excited to warm that up and eat it. My friend got a cinnamon caramel donut, which is the OG. Their donuts are always fresh and soft. Their jams are good too if you like that. The staff were all very friendly. If you haven't been, GO! You will be addicted!! The boxes of donut holes are really good to just grab and go or for a party too.
