I am a long time customer of the post, I ordered the veal Parmesan to go. I got home and the veal was underneath the spaghett & sauce. It soaked up all the water out of the spaghetti, & the sauce was inedible. The whole meal was disgusting and inedible, I'm not sure that the veal was even good, had a very strange almost nonexistent taste. If I had ordered it there I would have asked for one of the owners to taste it. My wife had gotten a breakfast a couple of days earlier, the Western Omlette which had so much green pepper in it that it overpowered the omlette. Both of these bad experiences, the service and everything else is outstanding, but need to get their chef in line because it seems like he doesnt care about the quality of food he puts out anymore. Just my opinion, based on these two experiences, it will be a while before we go back, if ever. read more

Taste like Grandma's cooking, but all of it you want to put back down your hatch. Best breakfast ever! It's out there a ways if you're not in Huntington. Worth the trip though. I'd drive an hour to eat here. Those flap jacks and hash browns are something. Do they still have the buffet due to Covid? Good food never the less. Recommend. Good eating up in here. Real deep like beyond the woods on that truckers one lane back country folk song kind of place. Food is really good. The french toast good when they bring it out all hot and syrup em up real good. Always seated quickly, with little to no wait. The waitresses are always polite and friendly. They are very knowledgeable about the menu. They have a great selection of food. It is always served hot and fresh. The portions are big for what you pay. The pricing is very reasonable. read more

I ate dinner at this charming little diner back when I first moved to Huntington and then didn't see it again until fairly recently- we visited when Johnny's closed down for a holiday weekend. Very thankful we did- "The Post" is a cozy, friendly little place that deserves five stars not only for the awesome breakfast food (best sausage gravy and biscuits in town now that Bob Evans is gone, and possible even before that!) and surprisingly generous refills on the coffee. There's a nice selection of omelettes, supposedly the "best pancakes ever!" (will need to try those soon) and some of the friendliest waitresses I've ever encountered. This place has a genuine vibe that makes it one of my absolute favorite places to start my day. read more

We stopped here for lunch on a Saturday and the food is fresh, well prepared with a good menu. We loved our server who even asked if we wanted cinnamon on the apple sauce! We went in for breakfast and got our coffee right away. Ordered our food. The gentleman behind us left about 15 minutes after we got there, and they seated a couple behind us. 10 minutes later they got our food. The waitress apologized to them never saying anything to us. the waitress then came with their food 5 minutes later and again apologized to them never even looking at us. the waitress came one more time to check on them while looking away from us and ignoring us. I decided I would leave and eat at home since we were never acknowledged the entire time that we still did not get any food. The server at the register was also very rude because i did not want to wait any longer, her merry Christmas was more of a F *. If they had at least said one word to us about our food I might have waited but to be intentionally ignored because they made a mistake is bogus. Never go there again. read more

Wow, was so pleasantly surprised to find this little gem on a trip through Huntington. Probably the best broccoli cheddar soup I've ever had. Great breaded tenderloin and grilled chicken the restaurant was clean and eclectic. The service was better than you see in many upscale restaurants. The Heart Attack On A Plate is the best breakfast on the planet! It can feed at least two people or you can save your leftovers for lunch. We were really looking forward to some good, home-cooked food. Well - it almost hit the mark. My son ordered the prime rib. He said it was good, but was cold. They must make it earlier in the day and warm it when it is ordered. I had the roast beef manhattan and the meat was pretty fatty. Also - only bread on the bottom - not on top. The potatoes were instant, but that's ok, I like instant potatoes as long as they are made well. The sides of green beans were hot and had pieces of bacon in them. Tables around us had the tenderloin and onion rings. They looked awesome. If we come back, we will order a tenderloin and those great looking onion rings. read more

My mom and I had the Meatloaf Special with Mashed Potatoes and gravy tonight. It was all pretty much COLD. Some may ask..."why didn't you tell the waitress and send it back"? My answer to that is: first of all I don't wanna eat spit in my food (or anything else), and 2ndly, I genuinely feel that if I, the customer, need to bring it to the staff attention, it's not worth the trouble. There are many other restaurants to eat in. I'm not the type to complain or send food back. I feel it's just not appropriate, just as I feel it's inappropriate for a business to have bad food/service. My time is valuable and I'd much rather spend money where I feel I make a difference. read more
