Really, really good breakfast food. Decent diner coffee. Used DoorDash to order ahead and it was ready quickly. Super friendly service at pickup. Plenty of parking. Very happy with the choice. One thing I didn't like is that the place is pretty small and it was steamy hot when I stopped by. Literally fogged up windows. (No points off for that from me. It's what you would expect from a vintage small diner. But I'm glad I ordered takeout. And if you have any concerns about ventilation, you should probably do the same.) read more

Went there twice in two weeks. Small out of the way diner with maybe 28 seats. Diners are also neighbors and will strike up a conversation with you. Great people and fun time. Food was very good, quick and fast both for breakfast and lunch. The breaded tenderloin especially was THICK and juicy, not pounded flat like a pizza. Yum! We were in town for a bowling tournament. Looked for breakfast spots and found this one. When we got there they were packed but it moved quickly. We had to wait a minute because there was five of us. We were seated and they waited on us right away. Everyone was so nice. Food came out quick and everything was great!! No wonder this is a hot spot!! I cannot say enough good things about Klemm's!!!! They advertise themselves as the best breakfast in town, and based on the meal i had, the argument is very solid. It is a cozy old school throwback that runs very efficiently. We were greeted with a "Hello, friend!" by our server. Coffee arrived almost instantaneously, and the food was out quick. There are several menu combinations and options...literally something for everyone. I ordered the "Garbage" plate which comes with your choice of sausage or chorizo, but I asked for ham instead. You can also scramble in tomatoes, peppers, and onions. Come with a side of toast. Let me just say that the American Fries are legit! You can watch them bring fried on the grill, and they are real potatoes--not the frozen hash browns typical of other breakfast establishments. It was an incredibly tasty dish! My coffee cup never ran dry until I wasready to leave. The service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere of this place was just very neat. There's a small parking lot oFf the street and a side door And front door to enter thru. It's very small. Galley style space with a full view of the kitchen. It's super cool. Accommodated our request and refilled our drinks quickly. We orderd the oatmea and it came with raisens brown sugar milk and toast. It was Verrazano hot and not sticky. Very fresh. I also ordered the garbage plate and subbed out bell pepper for jalapeño and Tom mayors for mushrooms and it didn't disappoint. It was huge!! It also cAme with toast. I added hot sauce on top too. It gave it a great kick along with those jalapeños. The food came out in less than 5' and we got to see them make it right there. It was so fun. Food portions are large and the prices are great. There is nothing like a hole in the wall, diner breakfast! You can find this gem off historic Wells street near downtown. The interior is nothing special. It is small, but cozy! There is a counter with barstools and then a few tables to snag a seat. The staff was friendly and very attentive. They move people in and out quick, but not in a hurry so they utilize the small space they have! Our waitress was very sweet and took great care of us! The menu is over exhausting, but they do all the classics well! We grabbed coffee, which is a must in the morning. I decided to order the garbage place. Eggs, peppers, onions, and potatoes all smothered with sausage gravy. It was fabulous and a hearty portion! I will definitely be coming back to Klemm's. Ordered 2 garbage plates to be delivered. I had never had them from Well st always State St. when we opened the boxes they looked nothing like the picture, no gravy which makes it better than another local joints. We started eating them and my son looks at me and asks if mine tastes funny. I tell him not to eat it. I complained to the delivery service. Which did no good, I got nothing back on my card.
