First we have ever eaten at Big G's and I gave it 3 star for the salad bar that was good and the little cubes of ice that came with our drinks. I don't recommend the Breaded Cheeseburger that was the nastiest flat greasy burger I have ever had. The omelet was lacking fluff and the French Toast was something made by a beginner big time. Even down to my babies French fries were way over cooked. Big G's needs some new cooks big time. read more

Service is great, as are the prices and the coffee. Food isn't anything special, but it's solid diner food. I'm not a fan of the sport theme decor (especially the creepy child mannequin/doll by the entrance), and there isn't much for a vegetarian to eat, but that's to be expected around here. Best broasted chicken, hands down. The fish, the chili, tenderloins and the breakfasts are all quite good. I've never been disappointed in the food. Food not poisonous, but certainly nothing to write home about. Menu is pretty standard bar food and while not all that expensive, not cheap for what you get either. The fries are dumped out a bag and fried crinkle cuts, the chicken is battered and deep fried, the soup is out of a can, .... you get the picture. The soft drinks and service were the high spots of the place. Also, this place bills itself as a sports cafe, well its not what one thinks of when a sports bar comes to mind. 4 flat panel TVs, all with old standard def receivers, all with sound turned off and most on the same channel. I guess if you want to see something in High Def and with at least closed captions, you have to leave town as this place will likely never have it. Do yourself a favor and subscribe to cable or go to a friends house, if leaving town is not possible and you really want to see a specific game. read more
