Wow! I definitely got more than I expected from a diner inside of a TA travel center!…read more I came in just before 6:00 to scope the menu. I actually deliberately parked here instead of going down to Marion because I wanted to eat something other than fast food and I'm glad I did! It wasn't until after 7:00 that I sat down for supper that I noticed they have almost 1/2 off appetizers from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. . I would have loved to get in on them hot wings! The place is super clean, and they play good nostalgic music. My server was Ana. She was so nice and sweet, perfect server constantly checking on all of the diners including myself. Top notch service! I ordered the two pork chop supper, and she asked me if I wanted cajun, lemon pepper, and I can't remember the third option, but I opted for the Cajun. My pork chops were perfect. Thick, tender, moist and the Cajun seasoning was a real kicker! I don't think the broccoli is frozen, I do a lot of cooking, and I think it was actual fresh broccoli that was steamed, that they also buttered. I asked for a little bit of lemon and Ana happily obliged. The green beans were stupid good! Some of the best green beans that I've had in a diner that I could ever remember. I'm really glad I stopped here for the night, and I'm really glad that I ate here. I don't come through this part of Indiana too often, but I definitely know where I'll be stopping and eating next time I come through! DON'T FORGET THE HAPPY HOUR APPETIZER SPECIALS! ***DISCLAIMER*** This pure, uncut, honest review is federally protected under Federal Law by way of Bill #EO14149. Stopped at this TA for the day and decided to give Miss J's a try. Sooo glad I did. The diner is…read morereally nice. Got the 10 oz steak, medium well with a side of mash and hash browns as well as the fried Mac and cheese bites. The prices were fair and the food was delicious, the service was excellent. Tristyn is amazing and easily one of the best servers I've had in a long time. She very attentive and checked in regularly. The chief certainly knows his way around a kitchen. I typically order medium well every single time no matter where I'm at and it always comes out in different degrees of juiciness/tenderness. Easily one of the best steaks I've had in a minute. Thanks for a great first experience. Will most certainly be back. *For my fellow truckers located off exit 309 I69 inside the TA. Ample truck parking (200+ spots)

Miss j’s Diner - I actually came in before 6:00, but went back to my truck. Almost half off appetizers!

Had an amazing brunch here today. I had a pistachio latte, Yum! My son tried the raspberry and…read morevanilla latte, so good! This restaurant is decorated amazingly. Someone definitely took the time to make this place look great.. service was wonderful also. We tried the cinnamon roll, the meatballs were amazing, I had the ricotta toast and my son ordered the prime rib toast. We were already a little full from each having half the cinnamon roll (the icing was some of the best we've ever had but the cinnamon roll tasted a little old, maybe a day or two old) and the meatballs again were so tasty!. I was glad to try the ricotta toast though :)

Spoke + Ivy (west Main Street, FW) - another locally unique dinning experience that deserves a try…read more Spoke + Ivy is located on west Main Street - across the parking lot from Redwood Inn restaurant, if that helps. This restaurant is set in an old building that used to house a pharmacy. It retains the character of the building via the hardwood interiors, tall ceilings, large window views of the street and concrete/industrial ceilings. The interior is nicely decorated with inviting green, brown wood and black accent colors. Table settings were very attractive as well. You can park in the small side lot or on the street. Reservations are easily made on line. The team is very friendly and welcoming. All set the stage for a fun and relaxing dinner experience. Spoke + Ivy has a very small food and specialty cocktail menu. This is the second time we have been here. Each time we found the food to be delicious and the cocktails are uniquely designed. Here is a run down on the food items we ordered: -Focaccia Bread: a mildly sweet, dense/firm bread, slightly airy with a touch of herbs to accent. It is cut into blocks so it is easier to share. The vodka sauce is thin in consistency with a smooth Italian seasoned tomato appeal. Both make for a deliciously simple starter. -Lobster Roll Rangoon: decided to give this a try. It comes out as one large Rangoon - not individual pieces. This means that you must awkwardly cut this shareable into pieces. The slightly crispy & oily wrapper is similar to most crab Rangoon pieces. It has a nice crisp. The inside has shredded pieces of lobster. It was not filled with creme cheese sauce like traditional rangoons - just plain. The green lemon parsley sauce was simply outstanding! It's very fresh, moderately thick and has a slightly tart taste. This added "the sauce" to what the inside of the Rangoon was lacking. -Milanese: nicely breaded chicken that was very moist. The breading is slightly sweet. The fresh bed of arugula salad is a nice add -Prime Rib Pho: this sounded really interesting. It's a smaller/healthier dish. The medium rare prime rib was sliced thin and tender. There wasn't many pieces of prime rib in this dish. The add-ins were fresh and much like you would expect from a Pho dish - just not as much volume. The broth has a chili oil base that gives it a spicier flavor. Overall we really enjoy this relaxed atmosphere and character of the building. The delicious food and cocktails are excellent.
