The worst most unprofessional, racist, and sexist dealership in Washington state. My family is (or was) a Honda family for over three decades. My father purchased the 1989 Prelude and to the very first Odyssey model with Klein Honda $24k cash. As a family we maintained our loyalty to Honda, but as of now this dealership is definitely at the low end someone needs to petition for the dealership to be shutdown or find better management. I decided in mid-October to finance a purchase of a new vehicle, as my 2016 Honda Fit was totaled by my sister in August. I called ahead of time to see if they had any 2021 Honda Passports and to possibly speak with the finance team about financing my vehicle or just paying the car in full in two days...complete mistake I got an overbearing sexist salesman. I asked him if there were any documentation need for underwriting he said: "YOU JUST NEED TO COME IN NOW, THATS ALL GRACEY because if you don't I can't help you"... literally yelling at me, I didn't want to come off as an angry black woman so I calmly told him: "I understand your situation, I'm in sales TOO, but you're going to need to listen to me and understand what my situation is in order to help... I already indicated to you I would be stopping by and that I was with a client 20 minutes prior"... (Ohh nearly forgot...he called my phone 10 times to make sure I was coming in...doesn't show desperation right?) Anyways after checking him he calmed down. I let him know that I was coming from Bellevue via an Uber, so I MUST know Everything I need to have prepared and with me to walk away with a vehicle. He said in quote: "Don't worry you don't need to have anything else just drivers license and insurance"....(that was a lie). I mustered through 3pm traffic via 405-N and arrive at 4:30 pm. Thank my Uber driver, get out and this salesman walks up to me, yup it's the desperation that was seething from him he immediately walks me to an HRV and CRV.. and I'm like where's the 2021 Passport?.. He says and I quote: "You won't be able to AFFORD it" I paused for a moment. Then said in my Ron Swanson park and recs voice: "Oh...so you've already ran a credit and bank verification then? At the bank of non existence huh?"... He clearly realized how dumbfounded he sounded and then said: "we don't have passports"....clearly they did because as he was saying this I was staring behind him at a fleet of them shined and new just sitting there grinning back at me...sigh...I just get so tickled with racist and bad liars. I knew I had the funds to purchase the car off the lot, but I wanted to see if he'd continue with this sad behavior (he's a person of color too...Asian American to be exact, and I'm still baffled at how they treat other POC)... anyways we continue I just choose the HRV to see knowing that I've already texted a friends in Oregon with a better dealership and deal (haha). We get inside, doesn't offer any refreshments tells me to sign all this paperwork ect...gives me a high interest rate (though my rate at my friends is low ASF). So I start negotiating we get things down to 9% after it being at 24% (do you see the scam...from 24 to 9...tsk tsk..my credits not amazing but it's not terrible, if my friend got me at 3.5 that's not bad). I knew that I needed paystubs ect...but again my sad desperate salesman said I didn't. Turns out only Black women that live in Bellevue do need paystubs, at Klein Honda...the White Women from Casino Road in Everett that are signing paperwork in the lobby as I am don't need paystubs because their by definition good for the money right?... Anyways, the financial director was like sorry I can't give you the vehicle we need paystubs proving income (totally understandable and I had them in my google drive to show my commissions from home sales) but then I asked what about her pointing to my blonde counterpart and she just sat there mortified that I called out the bullshit. Anyways canceled the transaction was there till 7pm because my desperate racist salesman was helping Blondie without a paystub who drove off in the new ride of her CHOICE. I could have just shelled out $43k that night for my dream car but why patron a dealership that doesn't even see you as a human being or allows you to make your own decisions, and doesn't play by the rules. I purchased a new civic from them and traded in a car. I was told that when i arrived to pick up my new car they would appraise my trade in. They would not go up in trade in value even though I should them comparable listings near by. They came back with a break down of what they could sell it for, $6000.00 and all their costs to sell it. 5 days later they put it on their lot for sale at $10,000! They will lie and cheat you on your trade in. Sell your trade in elsewhere. They are not honest. We bought a new truck from this dealership and they sold us the extended warranty. Then, about four years later, after making monthly payments on the warranty, they told us that they were dropping the warranty company--at just about the time we needed to use it. If they'd been ethical, they would have found another solution than leaving us out to dry. And, with the various warranties that they said covered us "bumper to bumper," the truck had a known issue with the sunroof leaking and getting into the wiring. Of course, this slimy dealership said that this was not part of maintaining the vehicle, "bumper to bumper." They refused to do any repairs unless we paid--$5k for the wiring. If you are willing to get fleeced, Klein Honda is just the place for you. Otherwise, stay away, far away. Oh, and the service manager, Gary, has a lot of hostility issues. read more

As of 12/27, Klein Honda has had my vehicle there for over a month with no confirmation as to whether or not it's actually finally repaired. They charged me almost $800 for a belt and tensioner that they verbally confirmed afterwards did not actually need to be replaced, and the car keeps making the same noise, regardless due to an entirely different issue. I got a phone call/voicemail around 7:30am yesterday from Gary Moore asking me why they still had my vehicle and that they thought I had picked it up... even though Gary had told me to keep the loaner vehicle until they discovered why my car shakes sometimes when starting it up. There has been no resolution and it was initially brought in November 21st, over a month ago. I called the service center back and said that I will work with anyone else aside from Gary at this point moving forward. Apparently, when you talk with him, you don't hear from anyone there afterwards for weeks and then he will randomly call you up asking why they still have your car. Still no word back since I called back yesterday morning and reported the issues I've been having there. This place has been an absolute headache and nightmare. read more

GARY MOORE IS THE WORST SERVICE ADVISOR at this location! He is ABSOLUTELY the worst person to speak with and is ABSOLUTELY the rudest individual. I've been going to this dealership for 4+ years and never had any issues before. I went in for a routine oil change this morning and I let Gary know from the beginning that I have an oil change plan and therefore shouldn't be charged when he was quoting me the price. He questioned me from the beginning and wouldn't believe that I had the plan when I advised him that the general manager approved the plan at the time that I purchased my vehicle in 2020. Mind you, I purchased this vehicle and negotiated the terms of my purchase. I know what and how I purchased this plan. When the oil change was finished, he told me that he spoke with the general manager and confirmed that I didn't have the plan. When I stated that I have been getting oil changes for the past few years without any issues and would like to speak with the general manager, he rudely cut me off and said that he just spoke with him and that there is no need for me to talk to him and that this was NOT UP FOR DISCUSSION! EXCUSE ME?!?!?!?!?!? Who talks to a customer like that?!?! I am not an individual that likes to complain nor am I confrontational, however, this was just plain rude and super unprofessional. I've worked in Customer Services for 10+ years and I have never dealt with such an unprofessional individual in all my years of experience. As a customer, we have every right to speak with a manager if and when we chose too. I simply just wanted to ask them to recheck my plan and hear from the manager as to why all of a sudden I "never" had this plan. I have documentation that shows I have this coverage. This is not the first time that I have seen this individual be so rude to a customer either, which I was quite surprised that he was still working there. I've witnessed him screaming at a customer, telling him to shut up and to stop talking when the customer was just trying to explain an issue he was having with purchasing car parts. Gary even kicked a trash can while screaming at the customer to shut up. This behavior is truly unacceptable and shouldn't be allowed in any workplace. Made an appoint for oil change , checked in 15min before my appointment time , 2 hrs later i had to go investigate where is my car , lady at the front desk "oh it's done let me get it for you " I was in the waiting area this whole time ...then go into my car , no sticker for next oil change reminder ( it's standard procedure for any oil change place you go ) and look at my paper work it says 60k miles in and 60k miles out ...!!!!! This is a big deal cause they report the service to car fax and this causes inconsistent mileage on the report !!!!! I negotiated a deal online and went in and picked up my car. If you decline the extended warranty and pre-installed security system, they won't bug you for it. I think they just secured a loyal customer. Highly recommend Elijah in internet sales, and Lauren in physical sales. Brought my S2000 here a few months back for a simple oil change and multi-point inspection, picked her up on time everything was perfect which I thought wrong because the day after I went to buy new tires and the associate informed me that 3 of the 5 lug nuts were seized and crossed threaded. So that means when Honda performed a multi-inspection they took my wheels off to check key components and when putting them back on they somehow crossed threaded my studs maybe they tried rushing the job but I had to pay a pretty penny for replacing my wheel hub during COVID lockdown. Also when picking up my car they told me I needed a "Tune-up" and would cost roughly $1,200 .. I sent an email explaining what happened and they gave me a call and said their tech did not take my wheels off, So that had me thinking if they even performed a FULL multi-point inspection?.. After a drunk driver totaled our car, we found ourselves in the market for another one and this time we upgraded to an Accord EX-L sedan, complete will all the options. Having worked with Ryan Holmes @ Klein in the past (two coworkers purchased with him), we knew we would be in good hands. Between the pricing, ease of financing and overall welcoming atmosphere, we never once felt pressured to buy. In fact, Ryan suggested we do the opposite. He thought we should sleep on it for a few days and offered to hold the car for us. Who does that?! Because we bought pre-owned & certified (with a lifetime warranty!), when we noticed a minor issue with our car, they gave us a loaner for a few days until the correction had been made. Arturo in service was outstanding and made sure every detail was considered and went over everything with me, in a respectful and non condescending tone. You never want to take your car in for service (the headache and time involved, ugh!) but Klein made it all so easy. Bottom line here, don't ever hesitate buying from this place! read more

This is an awful place to buy a car. I bought a 7 year old Subaru that has been nothing but problems from the start. I saw the car I wanted listed online, called to make sure it hadn't been sold yet (it hadn't according to the person on the phone) so I drove from Bellingham to Everett to check out the car. When I got there in person, they COULDN'T FIND THE CAR and had no explanation of where it was. Okay....that should have been a big enough red flag for me to forget about buying a car from this dealership. Of course they had my info by now, and when they 'found' the car three days later, I received a call asking if I was still interested in the car. Come to find out later, they'd sold the car and it had been returned within this 3 day time frame. Somehow they didn't have a record of this and just had a missing car listed for sale.... Should have been an even bigger red flag for incompetency and disorganization. I had someone physically walk the parking lot and tell me they saw the car with their own two eyes before making another trip down to Everett. About the car - the car was advertised online as a 3 day return no questions asked policy (you'll notice this on a lot of their online ads). I don't buy many cars once I test drove the car and decided I wanted it, the paperwork was overwhelming and I missed that within the paperwork I'd signed (different than the ad online), they didn't offer a 3 day return policy. Their finance guy seemed like a sleazy person too - adding on extra stuff without asking if I wanted it in the sale. Additional warranty that I declined, stop gap insurance and refused to use my credit union. Then insisted I use their bank that had a slightly lower rate. Only to read the fine print after the fact that they had charged me a loan origination fee! Back to the car - a day after I buy the car, I notice a lot of rust not just underneath the car but within the door frame(!) of the driver's side, creeping out from underneath the rubber door sealer. Yikes. Immediately wanted to return the car, and thinking I could because of the 3 day return policy listed online -- of course I couldn't do that thanks to the misleading ad and the paperwork I signed. Good luck trying to get someone useful on the phone regarding issues or to have someone with any authority call you back. So fast forward ~5 months, when the weather starts warming up in the spring.... I discover the AC doesn't work. The blower works and it blows in whatever ambient air, so when I bought the car in cold weather it blew out cold air and me being naive assumed the AC worked. I also assumed because they advertised this car as passing a 'multipoint inspection' which included the AC. I honestly doubt they did any inspection at all. Of course they wouldn't help me fix the AC. They're in business to take your money and after that you're screwed if any issues come up. Also their sales team seems extremely incompetent. I went multiple times to this dealership.... 10 sales people standing around every time and not one person could help me, I had to wait at least 20 minutes every time for some special sales person to help me. Screw this dealership; I'm reporting them to the WA DOL, BBB, and anyone else I can think of complaining to - I'm fed up with them and the car at this point. I'm sorry that I even have to be writing this review/letter and have honestly had to wait a couple weeks to cool off from how upset I was. I purchased my Mazda 5 from your dealership about three years ago. I had a few issues pretty much right after driving off the lot that you fixed such as the tires being bad due to a poor alignment, bad O2 sensor, brake lock, shifter, and door locks replaced. I have had many other repairs done since then totaling around $3,000. February 21, 2020 I brought my car in for a routine oil change before our move to Florida. I picked up my car that day from service and began my drive toward my home in Granite Falls. When I reached Lake Stevens smoke started pouring out from under my hood. I pulled over and discovered that the service tech failed to replace the oil cap and oil was overflowing all over my engine and on other parts. I immediately called the service department and was instructed to drive back to Everett. I was extremely nervous about driving the car that far, not knowing what damage this could be causing to my vehicle or how much oil was being lost. I made it back to Everett and the service department told me that they would clean the oil up, wash under the hood and redo the oil change. I was given a loaner car and they kept the car overnight. The next day I picked up my car and was told all work had been completed. My car smelled strongly of burning oil for about a week after the incident. We started our drive to Florida on March 4. On March 9th we were about 7 minutes from our new home when I noticed my car could not accelerate and was making a clicking sound. We pulled over and discovered there was no oil in the car. We parked the car and hired a mechanic to look the car over, explaining what had happened before we left Washington and he assured us that this was 100% due to oil not being replaced after the incident at your dealership. There were no other oil leaks noted by either your service department or this mechanic that would cause the car to be void of that much oil. At a minimum, the engine lifts are damaged and most likely more in the engine but that can't be determined without taking it apart. We have documentation from the mechanic here notating that. I'm writing this letter to give you opportunity to make this situation right. I'm a single mother of 4 and your technicians lack of care very realistically could have left me stranded in the middle of the desert on our drive. We were very fortunate that it broke down where it did, but now I'm without a car on very limited finances with kids to support. What we would expect from you would be for your dealership to cover the costs of diagnostics and repairs to the vehicle. Let me know how you can make this right? I was in here for my first maintenance on my new car. Everything went smoothly but after noticing my tires weren't rotated I called them to know why they didn't do it even though its obvious the front tires have wear on them. Drove back to get it rotated after that was done suddenly the tpms went on and I found out they forgot to calibrate it. Instead of driving back again i decided to calibrate it myself. Got home I pop the hood noticed that the oil filter shell was dirty, called the dealership to verify if it was change and they said they change the oil and oil filter. Look at the oil level and noticed the oil was dark and old. Called them again and told them what ive found out and even sent a pictures and they're 100% sure its new. So I told them they need to change the oil and I need to watch the technician do the work since i highly doubt they didn't do the most important first maintenance. This review is regarding my son purchasing a used car with Klein Honda. This is his first car purchase ever. Klein Honda took advantage of his inexperience. The following is a list of suspicious and deceitful actions by Klein Honda. (1) $1250 NW Protection Charge - They pushed this (I think it's simply detailing the car) and said it's on all their cars. We later find out that this charge is not required. (2) $2000 Warranty for tires, glass, dings and key replacement. When asked, finance could not explain exactly what was covered. (3) Changing terms of payment from 48 or 60 months to 72 months. When asked what happened on the initial offer sheet of 60 months, the finance guy said "no it's 72 months; this is the package I prepared for you and it's better for you anyway." IS THAT EVEN LEGAL!? When a customer is asking for 60 month's financing, don't they have to show that as an option!? (4) When asked for the pamphlet of the extended warranty that my son purchased, the finance guy did not even have any! He simply said it's bumper to bumper protection and that they will mail my son the pamphlet. Don't they have to show the customer what is being purchased!? In summary, it's clear that Klein Honda does not take personal care in their customers. They sell cars with the intent of confusing the customer by providing vague short answers to questions, incomplete explanations, and deflecting what a customer is requesting. All of this with the intent to make additional thousands of dollars and not giving the customer the satisfaction of value in what they purchased. We are a family of 6 (all drivers) and will never do business with Klein ever again. Additionally, I have hundreds of people in my sphere of influence and will be detailing my experience with Klein Honda. This dealership does not give good pricing, it gives absurdly ridiculous pricing - the underlying assumption is that the customer is an idiot. They were offering $1000 for my car as trade-in value, that other dealer gave $5500 for. They were charging $5k more for a 2019 Toyota Highlander with 53k miles and I got a 2019 Audi Q7 with 14.5k miles with extended warranty and maintenance package for $5k less than the Highlander they were offering - beyond ridiculous pricing structure and salespeople that use snake oil tactics. read more

I will preface this by saying I have never written a review on Yelp before, good or bad. My son was in the market for his first ever car purchase. That being the case, he decided he better work with a dealer instead of a private party. He was young, had zero credit history, and little money. He also needed something reliable and cost effective. We believe he found the right car in an 04 Civic Hybrid on Klein Honda's lot. It was marked with a checkmark ok sticker. We asked what that meant and were told it was checked out and certified ok. While test driving the car, it made an odd noise when accelerating from a stopped position. When asked, the salesman advised this was simply the exchange between the gas motor and electric. He made the purchase and was told the car is being sold "as-is". Due to it being certified, that was acceptable. Lo and behold, about a week later, the check engine and IMA lights come on. Diagnostics advise the IMA battery needs to be replaced at a cost of $4-5,000. What!? That is more than the car cost!! We found an amazing company called Bumblebee Batteries - who will be getting a positive review after this. We purchased a brand new battery at less than half the cost of the quote. We installed it ourselves, much to Klein Honda's dismay. It was very plug and play with very easy online directions. Just remember....you have to also put in the computer that comes with it for the car to recognize it. The battery is programmed to the computer. Duh! When I called service at Klein Honda, the initial guy I spoke with advised they would diagnose it for free, due to the recent purchase and certified status. However, the very unprofessional and unpleasant service manager refused to honor that, as it was sold "as-is". When reminded of the certified status, she said that didn't happen. Good job Klein Honda. Lesson learned. You had the opportunity with a brand new buyer, to make a customer for life. Instead, you earned a never again customer. New or used, we will not be buying from Klein Honda again. And we certainly won't be using them for service. Now....on to review Bumblebee Batteries. read more

Sales rep was good and helpful. The finance manager was a slimy piece of crap. His name was Q and he tried adding $5k worth of bullshit. I turned down it all. He couldn't take no for an answer. He tried REALLY hard on the gap insurance. I told him I could get it cheaper through my car insurance. Really slimy and gives car dealerships the bad reputation they deserve. I came in pre qualified and when my rate (credit score 800) was 2 points better than the one they offered they met it. but it shows you they really didn't try to get me the best rate they could. Noticed a steep decline in customer service quality especially over the last two months. Have not been able to simply schedule an oil change or a cleaning. No one answers emails or phone calls. Last few times I actually got my car in and needed them to fix a couple of minor issues, they lied to my face and said they fixed it when they had done nothing at all. After 3 attempts to get them to fix it, I finally took it to another place and they did it for free on the spot in less than 10 minutes. When I asked why it was free, they said it was so simple and quick that they didn't need to charge. You're better off going just about anywhere else. No one at Klein Honda Everett will care if you leave. They make that abundantly clear - customers don't matter to them at all. read more

Drove 45mins to go see 3 used cars for my daughter and after waiting 45mins to talk with someone and I was told they would not sell me any of these cars for the prices advertised online or at the dealership. All used cars carry an additional cost of approximately $1350 prep fee and for most cars they install an alarm for another $900. I was then told "all" dealerships have these costs. I told them I visited their neighbor, Pignataro Volkswagen, 1 hour earlier and they do not have these costs. Before you sit in the financial office to purchase a car at Klein Honda, beware. Especially if the guy who ends up asking for your signature on any documents is Mark Larson. When my fiancé and I first sat down in his office, he told us that his goal was to get us out in 10 minutes which turned out wasn't actually a favor to us but rather, a sleazy business tactic he used to get us to sign papers quickly so we'd miss that he had snuck in a cost for a karr alarm for $450 instead of the $120 he insinuated it would cost out loud. I saw this on the receipt while doing taxes and kindly emailed asking him to refund the difference. See his bogus response that made zero sense attached. After more BS emails, I got a call from a fiscal manager who couldn't explain any math of how the heck $120 turned into $450 on the receipt, and he told me I could either keep it as is or have them uninstall the entire thing for a full refund. I had the latter done and it took another couple weeks and multiple email reminders for Mark Larson to finally have the difference refunded to my account. FALSE ADVERTISING! Online they state they'd give 0.99% APR for 60 months (my credit is 780+). I get there and they say they can only do 5.99% APR when I literally show them the picture they put online. Terrible experience. They then tried underselling my trade in by $3,500 based off of KBB for the realistic condition, as I understand my vehicle wasn't in perfect shape. They offered a flat $16,000 based off of a "guess". Then proceeded to say they don't have a "market" for plug in hybrids. What does that even mean? Then they proceeded to add on an insane $1250 "detailing" charge, a $600 "paint protection" charge, and a $1000 "security equipment" charge on the vehicle I was looking to purchase. The ridiculous thing is that you probably have to do a subscription for the security system afterwards! Avoid this place like the plague. The loan officer added more than$6000.00 of "security, service contracts and clear coat" to the loan. when I called him on it he lied about what they were. I got him to remove the service contract but he said the others were already on the car and required. once I received the paper work in the fine print it was clear that they were optional. Don't waste your time with Klein any other Honda dealer would be better. read more

Great sales staff, bait and switch tactics by the finance office. My fiancee purchased a Honda Civic in December 2020 from Klein Honda. The salesman we worked with, Elijah was great. He was straight to the point, very friendly and took care of us with a great deal. I would work with him again, no questions asked. Sadly, the finance office ruined all of the good will Elijah built with us. We know the finance office pushes crap on the customer and so we declined most of it. Up until the finance officer, Mark Larson made the claim that the car lacked a security system and it would be extra to outfit the vehicle. We live in Seattle, so naturally you want to have a security system on your vehicle. With very little explanation of what the system was, Mr. Larson pitched it as a simple $2 per month addition. Over the course of a 60 month loan, that comes out to $120. At least that's what 2x60 comes out every time I plug it into a calculator. She signed for the addon under the impression that would be an additional $120 over the course of the loan. In our conversation, we stated to the effect "this is another $120 on top of the price of the car we negotiated?" Mr. Larson affirmed that. In review of the paperwork we received, the invoice came out to $450 being tacked on, not $120. I'm still not sure how $120 turned into $450. Mr. Larson is now claiming he never agreed to sell the alarm system for $120. Instead he "messed with the numbers" to get us to $2 per month. We never would have agreed to it had he been upfront about the cost of the system. In fact, it seems like Mr. Larson just lied to us to make a quick buck. As far as I can tell, this is what it looks like when a dealership does not care whether or not a customer returns for service or another vehicle. Have already agreed on price, trade-in etc. Will be paying cash for car when it comes in, but being told we have to wait for finance guy to sign papers. We've been waiting AN HOUR to sign papers. Things could have easily been a 1 Star review, but after the customer service and help we received I'm going with a 5 star and here is why. We purchased a car for my sons 16th birthday, we test drove it and everyone felt it was the perfect car for my son. The day after we took the car home the check engine light came on, which is usually not a good sign whatsoever! I brought the car back in and the service department diagnosed it as a fuel valve issue, which almost set me over the edge because I thought they sold me a lemon. I spoke to the service department and then asked to speak to the store manager, Ken, to figure out what the plan is and how we are going to take care of this. He assured me they would take care of the issue and right the wrong, which they did. Although I was supposed to get the car back the next day it took an extra day because the part came in late and it took time to change the part and then test drive it to make sure the car was good to go. This wasn't ideal but I'd rather have it done properly than fast. So after it was fixed we got the car back and they filled the tank up with gas as a gesture of good will, which was well received. Car salesmen get the bad rep because they want to move product and don't care about the condition of the car, but Klein Honda showed why they should be trusted with your business. They did the right thing by taking care of the issue at no cost to me. I would highly recommend taking your business there if you want a quality car at a good price. read more
