I walked in and the whole place smelled so good, like toasted coconut! They had just taken a tray of coconut out of the oven. Counter girl told me that they can blend coconut into any drink.. I chose to have mine in the latte. Oh man. Coffee was nice and strong, with just the right amount of coconut flavor. I have no idea what the drink is called, but I will come back for it! I'm not a big coffee guy so maybe this just isn't for me. My wife enjoys coffee though and she thought it was just okay. We stopped by for lunch and had a coffee and a breakfast sandwich (The Favrite). The sandwich is half a sandwich and they told us it would be. I thought that meant an open face sandwich but it's literally a small sandwich that is cut in half. It's an order at the counter type place located in a small plaza. The employees behind the counter are great and friendly and everything was prepared quickly. We just didn't really like the food and coffee. Prices weren't bad especially for that area and there is plenty of parking. read more

Their breakfast sandwiches are amazing- the sourdough bread and eggs and avocado together are amazing. They're not too greasy, and not super unhealthy but substantial.... The coffee is good. Unfortunately, the food I ordered today was terrible. It was the $8 breakfast sandwich on brioche with spicy aioli and spring mix, sounds delicious right? It's wasn't. The only discernible flavor was in the spicy aoli, which was spicy but that's it. It didn't match with the other components of this sandwich. The spring mix was tough and bland and the brioche..., well the quality and texture of the brioche was of a depressed and sad brioche. The brioche could have saved this sandwich but, alas, it was ultimately the cause of death. It was hardening around the edges, chewy and stale in the center. On its own the turkey sausage was flavorless and leathery. The egg was fine, it needed salt but that was the least of the egg's worries. I ate the egg. read more

I went here to get some work done recently. I'm in an accelerator and have a ton of studying and writing to do, so I wanted a little drive and to get out of LA and go near the water. The space is very nice--clean and bright with big tables and great natural light. I ordered the goat cheese and honey toast with a goat milk vanilla bean latte. It was pretty good, but not super memorable. I had no immediate plans to drive all the way there in the foreseeable future, particularly since The Boy and the Bear (only other coffee I love in South Bay) now has a location off the 405 in Westchester. HOWEVEr: I was recently flying out of LAX on United and ordered a regular iced latte with goat milk just before boarding. Listen--it was SO incredible that a) i was devastated i didn't get the larger size, and b) I have been thinking about that latte *ever since* and plotting when I can trek all the way back to Redondo for it. I dont like coffee so i got the pumpkin (seasonal) latte and it was so good!! They were able to add extra flavoring for me. My friends who drink coffee said there's was extremely delicious and even bought some to take and make at home. The seating and decor inside is nice and very inviting. The staff are coffwe gurus and are very helpful when deciding what to get. I definitely recommend this place. They also have food you can order. read more

ooooh i loveeeee klatch!!! it is definitely one of my favorites in the south bay, all of the drinks are so good and even their pastries are impressive!!! the creme brûlée latte really hits the spot and is sooo much better than all of the average iced vanilla lattes in the area. i don't even like matcha but their iced matcha drink is soo yummy!!!! also their muffins man 10/10 so super awesome. one time i came here and got like this cinnamon roll pastry thing i don't exactly remember but it was so amazing. Ya' know, location for me beats the now closed Catalina coffee house. So i gave it a try. they bake all their stuff there unlike some chain coffee shops. Delish. The coffee was good from what i remember from a few months ago. I will revisit cuz i thought it was that good and review again. One of the top coffee shops I always need to go to when I'm around Torrance/Redondo area. Was introduced to this place through church friends and finally came to visit. What I love here- -Capp on Tap (tastes like an alternative of La Colombe's oat milk draft latte) -Vanilla Bean Latte Service and workers are so helpful and nice. You can ask to try to capp on tap. BUT my most concern is I wouldn't want to study or hang put here. The interior doesn't match how good the coffee is. Doesn't have a good aesthetic which doesn't draw myself to stay. I'm a designer as well so makes me more analytical and bothers me. Wish I could change the interior and design a nee logo for Klatch. LOVE U KLATCH read more

They're coffee is amazing, but Klatch should be a place you come in for no more than 30 minutes. Things they get right: Amazing coffee. They have great milk alternatives so you don't have to settle for soy or almond. Their food is quality coffee shop noms. Their super friendly staff that want to help you get the best coffee for you. They also have an amazing selection of coffees they roast themselves and will grind for you. It's a very clean environment. Things they can improve upon: The seating is hard as rocks- definitely not a cozy coffee shop with comfy couches to sit and relax in. There is one outlet in this shop available to customers- don't come here to get work done because you can reasonably access that outlet from 1 table and 1 high top table. The music is loud and they were playing some kind of beach ska "skater music"- I felt like I was at a skate shop, not some place I could sit and relax at. Will I come back? Yes. They have great beans and great coffee, but I probably won't stay for long. read more

Finally! A gourmet roaster in the South Bay without the stereotypical alienating DTLA hipster vibe. Their offerings are surprisingly unique for how accessible they are--like I'm a coffee geek who's "seen it all" and they impress me, but their menu doesn't require anyone to be a geek to find a really satisfying cup. It didn't hurt that both baristas today (Joshua and Matthew) were approachable and friendly, and even answered odd coffee questions without making me feel ignorant. When I first tried Klatch at the LA Coffee Festival, their coffee was more delicious and interesting than the other roasters who had flown in from all over the world. I can see why they win competitions. In my opinion we're spoiled having these guys in our backyard, because they sell a lot online but we get it fresh. read more
