I hired Kiwi prior to reading the Yelp reviews. If I had read them first, I may not have hired them but I must say, I found them to be extremely professional and they did a very nice job on my carpet. I live in an apartment and I am convinced they did not clean the carpet prior to my moving in so I decided to get it cleaned myself on my dime because the place always smelled musty and it accumulated alot of dust. I did not have any visible staining so I cannot say that they got out stains but I can say my carpet looks and smells very fresh and clean. They use a dry extraction system and what looks like a hardwood floor sander so I was skeptical that I had made a good decision hiring them. My assumptions were wrong as I said the carpet is fresh and clean and extremely soft now. The drying process was only about 3 hours compared to the typical 8-12 hour services. When I called to make an appointment I was treated kindly and respectfully and was quoted a price that I thought was fair. I was given a date two days later. They gave me a two hour arrival window and they arrived within that window of time. The two people who came to do the work were well dressed, courteous, and very professional. I had moved alot of the furniture in advance of their arrival but they still had to move it back to clean where it was. When I called I was informed that they are not required to lift over 75 lbs so I prepared for that. They kindly put most of the furniture back where it originally was. The whole process took about an hour for an 800 sq foot apartment. The first vacuumed with an industrial strength vacuum, then they proceeded with the cleaning process. I think they did exactly what they said they would at the price they said they would. There were no surprises. I am very happy and my assumption that the carpet was never cleaned prior to my moving in is more evident now that the stale dusty smell is gone. I think a smoker lived here prior as upon entering the smell that first greeted you was one of stale old smoke. Now iI walk in to a fresh clean smelling home. I only wish I had the names of the three folks I dealt with during the appointment to cleaning so I could acknowledge them for great customer service. Thank you. read more

I know I tried to reach out to her after this, several times and NEVER heard back. I feel sure she didn't reach out to anyone. Kiwi in Houston is by far the worst. They picked up my rug and promised to clean and return it in 3-4 weeks. After 5 weeks, I started calling for an update. Each time I was told someone would call me back with an update. I never go a call back. I always had to call them back. They gave me one excuse after another. After waiting for 3 months I was told they would clean it free of charge and they would get it to me next week. The return was scheduled for Thursday 8 am - 5 pm. On Thursday around 1pm I got a call informing me they could not return it today because the guy with the keys had fallen ill. I could not believe this was happening. Is any business really this bad. Yes, and it gets worst. I rescheduled for Tuesday. Since I had already lost one day waiting on them they agreed to get the rug to me by noon. It arrived at 1:35pm. The guy gave me an invoice and when I tried to explain to him there was no charge he got angry. He started shaking the invoice at me and yelling something. He had on a mask and was not speaking clearly but I understood him to be angry. I closed the door and rolled out the rug and realized it had not been cleaned. The guy remained at my door and refused to leave. Someone from Kiwi calls me, while the guy is still standing at the door. He explained that the guy at my door was deaf and mute and he was angry that I had not paid. I explained that you have had my rug for 3 months and returned it dirty. I was promised no charge for a clean rug and know you send someone out with an invoice for work you never did. He said okay he would send the guy on his way. He totally ignored the fact that the rug was not clean after 3 months. Horrible! read more

I spoke to Sara and explained the problem I was having with my carpet and we went over some various options for the best value and treatment for my particular situation. She was very helpful and knowledgeable and I was actually able to get a new appointment set up for the next day. Kiwi services quoted our business a certain amount during booking and overcharged by $100 dollars after service was complete. I called company to see why they said 16cents per sq. ft. with quote and charged 18 cents after services. No-one knows anything and didn't call me back as they said. But were very quick to ask for payment and didn't email me my receipt as they also said they would. I had to get copy from credit card website. Every time I called prior to schedule and provide instructions to get in our suite and get clearance nobody that works there followed instructions or noted anything down. On top of that mess, I had to request Certificate of Insurance many times and call many times! The worst experience ever and to lie about pricing to get you to book with them is beyond shady!! I've used Kiwi before and they did a great job cleaning my wool rug. I like to get it cleaned every few months and so I decided to give them a call. When my rug was finished, they called me to set up a time to deliver it. I work full time, so I told them they could leave my rug on my front doorstep and I would bring it in on my lunch break. So I come home today and see my rug plopped down on my doorstep with NO protective plastic or covering, just laying there on the dirty ground surrounded by bugs, spider webs, dirt, etc. As you can see from the photo, no one would want their newly cleaned rug laying on the ground for it to get dirty again. Kiwi Carpet Cleaners were a joke to me. I actually asked the serviceman to stop services and leave. Not interested. Couldn't see how it could EVER clean my carpet. This is a circular hard floor 2 disk floor buffer (like you see being used on long hospital tiled floors) with towels wrapped around each buffer disc. They spray carpet cleaning liquid on each towelvthen spin on top of carpet. No steam. No suction. What??? How could this clean pet soiled carpet fibers? It just rubs it around in circles. I should start off by saying that the quality of the job completely depends on the technician who comes out. I've had my carpets cleaned by Kiwi for years. I can't speak of any of the other services offered. The scheduling department is nice, and they can usually find a better deal for you if you just explain what you need. The $7 return per room is nice too. Basically, once you get your carpets cleaned, they'll come back out to redo the same rooms for $7 each for one year. However, they do charge a trip fee. It used to be $28; this time it's $37. Nonetheless, since I have pets, the carpets need the cleaning, so I believe the price is right. I've never had terrible technicians. Some have been average, but the last one was excellent. Tyrell was courteous, professional, and thorough. Unfortunately, he no longer works there, and there seems to be high turnover at Kiwi. Overall, the carpet cleaning works on pet stains and regular wear and tear. I've never experienced foul smells after. As a matter of fact, I find my house smells cleaner and fresher after Kiwi leaves. Extremely worth the money. read more

Wish I could give them ZERO stars. Guy showed up in a old, beat up, personal work truck with an old shop vac in the bed, along with miscellaneous spray bottles just sitting out in the sun. Our couch wasn't dirty by any means but the original color wasn't as bright anymore. Turns out all he did was spray some chemicals on my cushions and then vacuum the couch. The rep explained to me that the couch would be steam cleaned and all this other natural chemical nonsense. It actually looks worse now because some of the water stains from before are now more evident. So glad I didn't agree to his up sell of "stain protectant". What a waste of money. I have had a cleaning with Kiwi Services this afternoon, Thursday, April 27th. I am dissatisfied with the service that was performed. Firstly, I made an appointment for 3-5 p.m. today Thursday. I made this appointment about a week ago. Just this morning, I got a call from Kiwi at 10:27 a.m. to let me know since a truck was in my area, if I would switch my appointment time to 11:30 a.m. I resented this assumption that I don't have other obligations that go beyond Kiwi Services. When I booked the original appointment time it was made with due forethought to what would fit into my schedule. I did not take kindly to having my time wasted in asking to change an established appointment on some last-minute whim that would benefit only Kiwi services. Secondly, I made a firm appointment as to what the cleaning would entail. It was to be the final cleaning under the warranty. It was agreed upon the areas that would be included in a basic cleaning. I expressly said I wanted nothing done that deviated from the original cleaning job. Yet when I returned home this evening I find the technician had convinced my partner to get an upcharge in the form of something called "scrubbing." To my opinion this was unnecessary and added about $50 to the original price I was quoted for the job. This inflated the price for the job I was quoted from approximately $101 to $155. Hitherto I have been happy with Kiwi Services. Yet with trying to change my appointment with only an hour's notice and then taking advantage of a gullible man who just happened to be at my residence solely to monitor the technician and pay for only THE AGREED UPON SERVICES, Kiwi has lost me as a customer. Any changes to my order for service should have been cleared with me, the customer who placed the service order. I also found that the technician took it upon himself to use my private bathroom. I know my bathroom had been used because in moving some of my bedroom furnishings off the carpeted flooring, I had them shoved into the bathroom in such a way that the toilet would have been unreachable and unuseable. I also found my toilet seat raised; and I never leave my seat raised. I feel violated. For to get to my toilet, the technician would have had to move my furnishings without my permission. I will be taking a close inspection of my belongings. If anything is nicked, or bent, or mishandled in any way, I will be sending Kiwi a bill for unwarranted damages. Jack Brown read more

We've used Kiwi Services a few times for carpet cleaning, and have always been super happy with quality of work and the dedication of the staff to making sure that everything was fully taken care of. They move the furniture, and when they see a stain, they use a stain remover to clean it right. When they're done, the place looks and feels Awesome!!! read more

Contacted company for tile cleaning floor estimate. They called day before to confirm arrival between 11-1. After 2pm on day of estimate they called saying that they were short staffed and they were canceling on me and that I could reschedule to following week. I was irritated and told the lady they could have had the common courtesy to call me during or before scheduled appointment time to cancel and that they wasted my time and no I would not reschedule. I have been so disappointed with this company, I have had the worst experience with them. I originally scheduled based on their ratings, and I don't know if I'm the unlucky one, but I cannot imagine I'm the first one this happened to. I had an appointment set up, the guy never showed, then I call getting apologizes and a discount, fair enough from first time. The the technician came to give me an estimate, and we scheduled that week for the cleaning, he never showed. They once again apologized and gave me another discount. I said, that's great and all, but I just want my sofas cleaned. Then they finally come, and clean the sofa without doing the extra service that was previously discussed, so they sent someone again to clean it for free, only to find out I have to pay extra for something I thought I was already getting. Avoid this company like the plague. They cleaned our rugs over a year ago, in advance of an event in our home. When it came time for delivery I heard nothing so contacted them, only to find that our rugs had been lost in their warehouse. When they finally found and delivered our rugs, I paid the amount quoted. Their phone rep advised that the quoted amount did not include taxes of approx $65, but that they would compensate us, and accept our payment (less the $65) as they had lost our rugs and delivered late, AFTER the event for which they had been promised. Though the adjusted payment was agreed to and documented with the phone rep, we continued to be invoiced for this amount for months after and the invoices only stopped after multiple calls to Kiwi's office. After many months, we had assumed this matter to be closed but Kiwi's reps have now resumed harassing us to pay the amount which they had agreed to deduct. We are going to pay to get rid of them once and for all but want the world to know that this is not a reputable company. Their customer service is subpar and their cleaning services are terrible. Kiwi came out several years ago & I had them clean the carpets. They were incredibly professional. They moved furniture, they put down plastic protection where needed. They took their time & went after problem areas. The next year, I called to have two rooms cleaned that my puppies had been competing over, to see who was the more dominant? Awful. Missed their puppy pads completely. The young man who came out was surly, disinterested, & I had to follow him around. He didn't attempt to remove the stains. (No special treatment to the tough areas or the wonderful deodorizers). He didn't move anything. I could've done what he did w/ my own steam cleaner. I went w/ another service scheduled for tomorrow. This service is still going, and not going well at all. It's also worth mentioning that I paid about $1,500 for this service which was supposed to be the ultimate in cleaning for area rugs. My 3 rugs were originally picked up about 3 months ago. At the time, I mentioned my concern with urine smell on a couple of spots from accidents with my pets which I was particularly interested in sorting out. I got upsold to an ozone cleaning process that was guaranteed to remove the smell. Fine, I agreed to that as I really wanted it sorted. While the rugs were originally with them, I called and asked for a stain protector to be applied. Paid for that as well. After about a month with them the rugs were delivered. It was clear that apparently nothing had been done to two of them: one still smelled of urine, and the other (we found out later that day) still had crumbs on. The last one clearly had not had the stain protector applied, as I dropped a couple of drops water on it to see and it got absorbed promptly. This was after I noticed the other two rugs hadn't been cleaned as it had eroded my trust in the services. At the time, the delivery person (same one who had picked them up originally) would not take them back, and said that I should open them up for a couple of days as the smell was of chemicals, not urine (as if one doesn't recognize that). I agreed to that, and obviously the smell remained. At that point I called and asked for them to redo the two that were in worse shape, as the other one was already under furniture. It's now been one month since they picked them up for the redo and they cannot tell me when the rugs will be delivered. I contacted Kiwi services and talked to Lacy Holland. She was very nice and we went over (more than 4 times) the list of areas that needed to be cleaned and I got an estimate for all those areas. However, in the email she sent confirming the order, she omitted the corridor upstairs. I noticed it but didn't think it was a big deal. During our conversations, she told me that there were two or three people coming over, that they would give me a call when they were 20 minutes away, that the job would be done in around 2 hours, that they would move the furniture, that this "innovative" carpet cleaning system utilizes hot water to remove the dirt from the carpet, and that the carpet would be dry in a few hours. Unfortunately, everything that she said was either untrue or misleading. 1. The ONLY person who came over (a man named DON) arrived before the time scheduled and 2. DID NOT give me call. When I arrived home, he was already waiting outside. When I asked why he did not call me he said he didn't have my number. 3. Instead of the 2 hours, it took FIVE hours to get everything done. He left my house at 8 pm. 4. They DO NOT move the furniture. My husband had to do it and had to ask him to help him with some pieces. 5. The alleged "HOT" water that was used actually came from my kitchen sink, and both bathtubs (that, by the way, he left completely DIRTY). 6. The carpet DOES NOT dry in a few hours. It was completely soaked and in most areas it took around 24 HOURS to dry. 7. The guy they sent was extremely RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL. Everything he had to say to us was in an aggressive and challenging way. Mostly by the end of the day, when he was probably tired and when his mood was even more sour than when he had arrived. 8. Once he was done with the cleaning he, in a very rude way, came to us saying that there was a big problem and he started pointing out that there were areas with stains that he had allegedly removed (once the carpet dries you see that they are still there) and that he had to charge for them. Then, I reminded him that when he arrived I told him that we were NOT doing the stain removing cleaning. I told them that we were doing the basic cleaning and that he SHOULD NOT worry about any stains. After reminding him of that I said I didn't think I had to pay for a service I told him not to do. Then he went on saying that he had cleaned the CORRIDOR upstairs (that I mentioned in the first paragraph) and that it was not in the email that he had received with the list of areas to be cleaned and that he was going to charge extra for that. I told him that even though it was not in the email, when I got the estimate all the areas had been included and that the omission of the corridor was a mistake. Instead of questioning him why he didn't consult with me before cleaning the CORRIDOR, since Lacy had omitted it from the list (but not from the estimate), I decided to pay the extra and have him out of my house as soon as possible. I would not be surprised if that was a scam that they normally use with their clients to get some extra money. The result was that we didn't give him any tip. Lastly, he used my bathrooms more than twice (without asking if he could) and left it unflushed! A little bit of good manners and respect to someone else's property never killed anyone. We used them before our son was born and liked that after our initial cleaning they would come back within a year for a small fee. We are trying to move back into our house post Harvey damage and made an appointment. They re-scheduled our first appointment because they didn't have enough technicians. Then today, the re-scheduled day the 8-10am window was almost over so we called to check in. They informed us that they would not be coming and hadn't planed on contacting us to let us know. We did Kiwi in 2015. While my husband and I were gone for Thanksgiving, somebody(guest's child possibly) peed on our carpet. We paid Kiwi to do a basic clean up and then were convinced to do the deep cleaning. The total we paid were over $500. The smell is still there today and is pretty strong. We talked to Kiwi and they came back to try to clean again but the tech kept arguing with us on how many rooms are covered. Ridiculous. I will never recommend them to anyone. read more

I called them to have my rug cleaned and set up the appointment for friday morning between 8-10 am. I removed all the furniture that was on said rug because I had the time. Ten o'clock came and went, no technician. I called the company at 11 and asked when he would arrive. Customer service told me that he had arrived at 8:07. I said "no" I've been here the whole time, no one has come to the door. She put me on hold to call her dispatch. Came back and said that the tech got to my door and while unloading had broken a piece of equipment. Said he had to go back to the company and pick up another one. Said he would be there within 20 min. She apologized and said that the tech thought that the office had notified me. I said, ok because things happen everyday, and continued to wait. Forty minutes after he was supposed to have arrived, I called back to report that he still had not shown up. I asked if he was a contractor or an employee. A different lady (Lorraine) had said that she would contact dispatch again. She called back and said that no one was answering, not dispatch or technician. She said that she escalated my complaint to a supervisor and I should be getting a call back momentarily. Once again I said "ok". I'm too nice of a person and I give lots of chances. Supervisor calls me back and tells me that she cannot reach them either and now it's too late in the day to send someone else out because the technician that was due at my house was the only one out in my area. She said that she would be "happy" to send someone out the next day (sat) between the same time and that she would send a more "reliable" technician. I relayed my disappointment and said that the only reason I'm allowing this is because I really needed my rug cleaned and I already had an appointment with them. She said thank you and she would be sure that the tech would come. Saturday morning at 740 I get a call from customer service telling me that the tech would be here within 25 minutes. Not to my surprise, more than 40 minutes afterwards and no one has shown up. I should've researched this supposed cleaning company on Yelp prior to calling them. They have wasted my time, my patience, and I wish there was some recourse that I could take against them other than to write this honest review. I have never written one before but the way this company has WASTED MY TIME has me all kinds of angry. If I were to treat people like this at my job, I wouldn't have a job to return to. So if you value your time, like I do mine, don't bother with this cleaning service! read more

Kiwi has been a great company with which to work. This will be my third year with the company. I have small children and lots of kids in the house all the time; so, Kiwi's warranty service is a delight. I use it several times per year, and I am always happy with their service. They are prompt and courteous, and different techs have different specialities that can help many things including but not limited to carpet stretching. I also just had this done. Do not use this company to clean your carpets! The before and after will look exactly the same. The tech came to the door and didn't even introduce himself or state he was with the cleaning service. He immediately went to look at the carpet and tried to up charge me. He asked if I knew there was an area of high traffic which is why I called them out in the first place. Worst company, with the worst manners. I used them years ago and didn't have a problem. They have gotten much worse. Absolutely they worst service and customer service resolution I ever received by a company in my entire life. We contacted Kiwi to provide a quote for cleaning both our hardwood floors and the tile/grout in the kitchen. They Kiwi representative came out and provided an estimate. The Kiwi representative cleaned the floors and the end result was TERRIBLE. We called Kiwi the next day and complained about the work and the response we received was they did not authorize the individual to come out to do the work. We found out that the Kiwi representative did the job under the table and did not report the work to Kiwi. Kiwi fired the employee and then IMMEDIATELY tried to shift the blame to ensure they did not have to assume any responsibility. They said the individual was an independent contract but my response is he is the representative that you sent to our home for your company. Summer DeLavan, the Resolution Specialist for Kiwi, continued to insinuate throughout our phone conversations that we were in cahoots with THEIR employee to get a hookup on floor cleaning services. This was an absolute insult and I believe a copout to not have to take responsibility for our damaged floors. We have had other providers come out and provide estimates to fix the problem Kiwi created with our hardwood floors and it will cost $100s of dollars. I work in a customer service driven industry and I understand the importance of striving to have satisfied customers. Kiwi is not striving for that goal and seems to be extremely dishonest and apparently does not have the best hiring process if they hire employees that stiff them and simply leave the customer hanging. Outside of the TERRIBLE floors, dealing with Summer DeLavan was an absolute nightmare. She acted like she was doing us a favor by offering totally one-sided resolutions that mitigated their losses but did not make us whole in the situation by fixing our hardwood floors. Summer actually said in our conversation that "I was directed to be FORCEFUL with you in this conversation because we are not willing to offering any other remedy. You should have took our first offer." The offer was a credit of $250 (that we paid) and us paying an additional $683 to get our floors redone (consider the fact this did not fix the scratches in our hardwood floor by the Kiwi representative). I had a fair solution to discuss with Summer but she was so aggressive I could not get in a word in our conversation. SUMMER WAS ON A MISSION and resolution was not the task. Is this a jet eye mind trick...Are they trying to make me thing I am responsible for a situation they created??? They are apparently focused on making a buck without thinking about the trickle-down effect of simply doing BAD BUSINESS. Kiwi needs to save their advertising money and simply put their focus behind delivering good service and ensuring happy customers. Hindsight is 20/20 but I wished I would have checked out the Better Business Bureau's website (http://www.bbb.org/dallas/business-reviews/carpet-and-rug-cleaners/kiwi-carpet-cleaning-in-carrollton-tx-26002679/complaints) prior to having them do work because it would have shed a lot of light on the company. I have two dogs and having these cleanings done has made a huge difference with the carpet. They've also cleaned my white sofa and I was very happy with that as well. The technician arrived on time and inspected the previous cleaning....he explained the correct procedure and begin the cleaning. The 2nd time around is much improved!!! I have used these guys in the past. They quickly schedule you and do a pretty steller job. My home had carpet that was over 9 years old.The koolaid stains alone where removed without a trace. Love these guys. The warranty also makes them the cheapest deal around. Great customer service over the phone. They tried over and over to price match the air duct cleaning with another local company. Which I appriciated. The rep Skywalker made me a customer for life. read more

This company does do REAL duct cleaning. You could easily do the same with and extension on your own shop vac. Please do not waste your money! I called on Kiwi to do air duct cleaning for my older home. The tech came out on March 10th with a big shop vac and hose. The tech removed each vent and stuck the hose in about 1ft - 3ft on some vents, (the first ones he did stick the hose if further maybe 4ft - 5ft.) then wiggled it around and pulled it back out. He used no brushes to removed dust or cob webs and he certainly did not vacuum the full length of my duct work. The tech could not get one of the vents back on and so he left it dangling and said the screw was stripped. We went ahead and bought two new vents to replace a couple of really ugly ones in the house. During the process of replacing the vents we found out that the screw wasn't really stripped, we don't know why the guy struggled to place the vent. Before my husband placed the new vents on I got my Swiffer duster and poked around in the vent as long as the extended handle would let me (about 3ft) and came back with a filthy dust rag. This was a complete waste of money as well as a disappointment because I chose to clean the air ducts because we found out my daughter has asthma and is allergic to dust mites. Her allergy and asthma doctor recommended we have the ducts cleaned but this is what we got. read more

KIWI services is the worst. They came out 3 times to clean my microfiber sofa and it never came clean. It looked ok wet but once it dried you could still see the stains. Microfiber is sooo easy to clean and I have cleaned it many times myself but after an unfortunate carmel popcorn incident with some teenage boys I was not in the mood and thought it would be a good time for an all over professional cleaning. It was a joke the way they sprayed the cleaner with a squirt bottle and then ground in the dirt with a buffer pad. Wasted $180. I should have paid Stanley Steamer the $400 they wanted to clean the sofa. I will never use KIWI again. read more
