We recently completed a major attic insulation and HVAC cleaning project, and from the initial consultation through completion, the entire experience exceeded my expectations. First and foremost, Moe deserves a tremendous amount of credit. I've worked with plenty of contractors over the years, and I genuinely can't remember the last time I felt this comfortable and confident throughout a project. Moe was absolutely fantastic. He was knowledgeable, honest, patient, and incredibly responsive. Whether I had a question before signing the contract or needed clarification about the work, he was always available and quick to respond. What impressed me most was that Moe never once tried to upsell me or convince me to purchase something I didn't need. He explained what he recommended, why it mattered, and what was actually necessary for our home. There was never any pressure, and I felt like he was looking out for my best interests rather than simply trying to make a sale. That level of honesty and transparency is incredibly refreshing. We ultimately selected their Gold Package for attic insulation removal and replacement, along with several additional improvements. Our project included: * Removal of the existing attic insulation across approximately 1,900 square feet, followed by thorough vacuuming and cleaning of the attic floor. * Installation of new R-38 blown-in fiberglass insulation, up to 14 inches deep. * An additional 300 square feet of R-19 batt insulation. * Complete attic sanitation treatment, air sealing, and sealing of gaps between the attic and living spaces. * Resealing of the HVAC system and ductwork, along with rehanging an air duct. * Installation of attic baffles, light fixture protectors, and an attic tent cover. * Installation of additional attic decking/platform. * Deep cleaning of both HVAC systems, including air ducts, vents, registers, and sanitizing treatments. This was not a small project! The crew arrived at approximately 9 a.m. and worked meticulously until 6 p.m. They were professional, hardworking, and extremely thorough. They took care to protect the areas of our home they were working through, and the cleanup afterward was excellent. I've attached before-and-after photos because they really demonstrate the extent of the work and the attention to detail. The pricing was another huge positive. We received a competing quote from another company that was substantially more expensive. Pro Attic's pricing was extremely competitive, especially considering how comprehensive the Gold Package and additional services were. At no point did I feel that the lower price meant sacrificing quality or cutting corners. But ultimately, what really set this experience apart was Moe. Having someone who communicates so well, follows through, and genuinely makes you feel comfortable with a significant home improvement project is invaluable. He made what could have been a stressful process incredibly easy. I rarely write reviews this detailed, but I believe exceptional service deserves recognition. If you're considering attic insulation, attic restoration, or HVAC cleaning, I would absolutely recommend Pro Attic. And if you have the opportunity to work with Moe, you're in excellent hands. As a…read morefirst time tankless water heater owner, I recently found out the heater should be descaled (flushed to clear out any calcium or sediment build up) each year. I reached out via Yelp for a quote, and they were super responsive and professional (nice, timely, proper grammar.. hooray!). I was able to schedule a visit through the app and things were smooth sailing! We actually ended up having 2 visits, since we discovered our water heater set up didn't have the proper valves (lé sigh, thanks builder!) on the first visit and they had to be installed, but you can definitely have the descaling done on the same consultation visit if yours does! For each visit, Uli, the plumber, gave us a call to let us know he was on the way. (You pick a 2 hour availability window, and they call 30-40 min before they arrive just to confirm). Uli arrived with shoe covers and respected my home (big deal for our no-shoe house!) and was super pleasant and nice. After asking a few questions about our water heater, he explained everything he was planning to do and what to expect. I felt like he was very knowledgeable and honest and didn't feel like services were being pushed onto me. He gave us service quotes on the first visit-- seemed fairly priced... especially for how great of a company they seemed on first impression! Really seemed like he was doing a thorough consent for a surgery, except for my water heater instead of a patient, haha~ I like to learn so I (tried not to but probably) hovered nearby to watch him install the valves-- Uli was super quick and knew what he was doing. He was incredibly nice and answered any questions I had. When he started the descaling process, he explained what he was doing and gave tips on descaling in the future. He cleaned up afterwards and vacuumed any puddles caught by the pan. Payment by credit card via an iPad was easy afterwards. FYI, routine descaling is $199 and installation of valves if your builder is silly like mine is around $340. I learned that Power Vac America literally tore up the inside of my plenum. I have had small pieces of the inside of my plenum drifting down out of my ceiling vents for the past year and wondered what it was. They also broke open one of my vent runs in the attic where 2 pieces of duct were joined together to make one continuous run. This rendered that vent useless and allowed air to escape in large volume into my attic for over a year. Also, now I need to clean the black mildew they left in my vents but I am unable to get the screws out of the ceiling vent because they are tightened too tight. This is aside from the fact that the man smelled like he had not had a bath in 2 weeks and they charge more than any other vent cleaning service. If you want a company to completely destroy your system, then this company is for you !!! This company should have its license to do business revoked !!! UPDATE: I called the owner at his invitation who expected me to let him fix the problems he created with my ductwork after the damage he had already caused. Since he is a duct cleaner only and is not qualified to install ductwork, I suggested having the air conditioning company meet him at my house to do any repair work. I have yet to hear back with an appointment time, so it looks like the damage he did to the ductwork will not get fixed. My alternative is to file suit in a court of law which I can do since I have several pictures of the problems. Fortunately for me, the Deceptive Trade Practices Act provides for up to a $250,000 fine for any person or company who defrauds a senior citizen.
