He got the job done quick and made sure to take our vent apart where his brushes got stuck instead of just trying to use a blower which could just make the problem worse! Return customers get a discount and they aren't required to pay a fee or required to get cleanings on a certain schedule to qualify. These guys are honest and do a great job. They covered our furniture and belongings to ensure that it wouldn't get dirty. They took our vents off and washed them, cleaned the boxes, intakes, ducts and unit. After washing, they sanitized and installed the UV light system to prevent the problem from occurring again. They cleaned up afterwards. After they did the basic cleaning they said i was okay do use my dryer. When i went to use it, my clothes were very damp and it was worse than before i got it serviced. I called and booked another appointment to get it serviced again and i havent heard anything from them since. If you book with this company, dont expect punctuality, professionalism, clear communication, or a job well done. I had a 16 year old air conditioning system that of course quit cooling properly once the outside…read moretemperature hit 90 degrees. After a little research on the internet and reading reviews of A/C companies I chose to contact a local company and contacted Abel Mechanical Services to come out and diagnose the problem. I hadn't had a previous issue in years but the symptom was my system was low on Freon. I was planning on just adding Freon and hoping it would last through the summer and then I was going to have my total system replaced once it got a little cooler. Abel and his technician Chris arrived the next day after I contacted his company and starting diagnosing my outside unit. The first thing the gauges told us was I was low on Freon which was no surprise. While Abel and I were discussing the age of my unit and me telling Abel that I was considering just adding Freon and making it last a little longer Chris was checking the condenser coil for leaks and taking some readings on the amperage draw of the compressor and the fan motor. Both the compressor and fan were outside of their normal rated draws. No Freon leaks were found in the outside coils. There was no sales pitch made. They told me they could add Freon but could not tell me how long it would last because there was a leak somewhere and how long the Freon would last was unknown because they had not found the leak yet. I made the decision immediately to lean toward replacing my entire heat and cooling system now rather than "rolling the dice" since both the heating and cooling units were 16 years old and based on the compressor and fan out of tolerance amp readings provided by Abel and Chris. There was no sales pitch to sell me a new system. They said it was totally up to me as to whether to repair or to replace my system based on their findings. My common sense told me to replace due to the measurements and age of the system so I was the one to ask Abel for the cost of a total system change out. We agreed on a price for a new system. I really appreciated the relationship I had with Abel and Chris. They were very open to answer any of my questions. I could tell based on our interactions that I wanted to continue to do business with this company and that they were honorable and trustworthy. A couple of days afterward Abel's installation crew, including Abel and Chris arrived early in the morning and in less that 8 hours my old system was removed and my new heat and air conditioning system was in and working. Everything was done in a orderly and professional manner. All the old parts and trash was removed and my property was left as clean as it was when they arrived. My experience with Halo was extremely frustrating. A drainage project that began around July 8 took…read moreabout a month to complete, leaving a trench around my home and delaying other work, including roofing, electrical, and AC repairs. The biggest issue was a nearly $6,000 change order for a bathroom drain addition that was clearly identified in the drain inspection provided to the owner before the project was quoted. That inspection recommended replacing both older cast-iron systems with PVC. I was told the report was not fully reviewed before the quote was prepared because the owner receives too many reports and is usually rushed. Unfortunately, that lack of review resulted in a major added cost. There were also property-damage issues. My sidewalk and sprinkler cable were damaged during the work. I had to push back repeatedly after initially being told the damage may have been caused by me or my subcontractors. Communication and customer service were also disappointing. I found the project manager dismissive, and my request for a site meeting with the owner after the first major issue was ignored. The project total nearly doubled. When I requested a resolution, I was offered a split of the cost of the quoting error rather than removal of it. On a Friday evening, I was told the error would be removed; by Saturday morning, I received a threat and a promise of a lien. I cannot recommend Halo based on the inaccurate quoting, property damage, prolonged disruption, and handling of these concerns.

I explained on the phone every single thing I needed done, and they said OK. They come out, call, and still have not completed all the items. So then I need to ask them to do all the items, and they will only do some. So then we need to tell them again. Then I asked them to test the faucets, etc., but they said that since the engineer is testing, they do not need to. If they say a master plumber is coming then do what you say you are going to do.
