Never in a million years did I think that Upfront Home Service would do me dirty like this after all of our years of working together but I guess that's what happens when a company gets GREEDY. They forget that it is their long time customers who helped them to succeed. Recently, we scheduled a move out carpet cleaning with a few patch repairs. At first, I thought everything was going great until I saw the one patch job. We brought it to the technicians attention & he said that was the absolute best patch that could be done. I didn't agree but waited until it dried. After he left, I went upstairs and noticed that the scent that is usually very pleasant after carpet cleaning was not there but instead the stench of dirty water was present & extremely strong.This was not the norm in past jobs with them so I immediately knew something was not right. I called the office & asked them to send someone over right away to see the job that was done and to smell the odor. I thought Rachel was going to send over a supervisor to check things out the next day but all that came over was a regular technician with a can of deodorizer to mask the odor. I thought they would have redid carpet & fixed the patch but that was not the case. Mind you, my circumstances have never changed during the 9 years I have used Upfront Home Services I have always had animals, & yes, animals have accidents. There was no more or less than the norm. After they cleaned my carpet, the carpet smelt great each time, so they cannot say it was my fault or point fingers. If they had only come out to see for themselves what I was referring to after I asked them to, they would have seen & smelt what I was talking about but they chose not to. A few days after this took place, & after I had a few moments to myself after moving State to State, I wrote an email to the owner, Joseph Pais expressing my concern & instead of reaching out to me personally, he had someone by the name of Daniel Guida call on his behalf. He seemed nice at the time & said he would send someone over to fix. I explained to him that the second visit should have handled this & that we no longer had access to the home. We moved out. I told him we had spent almost $1000 on this work & the least they could do since they didn't fix any of it on second visit was to maybe refund us something. Maybe 15-20 percent of the cost since the job was not done right & no one thought it necessary to stop by next day to see what we were talking about. Well a week later, Daniel did not call me back so I sent a follow up Text to him yesterday. I saw that he read my text but didn't feel he should be professional & reply. I then sent another email to the owner, this morning, & he had the nerve to offer me a refund of $50 & a $300 credit if we ever returned to Texas & needed carpet cleaning. We moved to Florida 2 weeks ago AND WHY DO I NEED TO WAIT TO RETURN TO GET A CREDIT? REFUND ME NOW. THE JOB STILL SUCKS!!!!! If Joseph or Daniel had come to the house, they would have witnessed first hand our complaints & the odor we had after they cleaned it along with the really bad patch job. If our 9 years of business means nothing to them & they insult me by offering me a $50 refund after spending almost $1000 on this past job, then they can keep it. The quote for an AC inspection was very reasonable and he was very responsive in setting up the inspection even I contacted him via Yelp after business hours when I was ready to schedule. I was trying to make an informed decision of buying a townhome. After a prepurchase home inspection from Randall with RECON Home Inspections (also high recommended). Inspector suggested to have an electrician and an HVAC technician to have further inspection. The HVAC Tech arrived in its company van wrapped with its logo during the scheduled time. Around 45 mins prior to it, I got a text from TX Eagle about the arrival time. The HVAC Tech named Justin was very knowledgeable and thorough. He was patient to answer any questions I had and he used the human body and the heart as an analogy to explain the AV system to demystify it, so it was easy to understand and I appreciated it. He found the problem which half the evaporator coil were not working due to blockage that was why the temperature couldn't go down further than 76°f, which the home inspector pointed out prior but didn't know why. He also checked the duck in the attic and mentioned the firewall were torn down which needed to be sealed up to prevent fire coming in from another units as he used to be a firefighter. That also aligned with Randall the inspector told me during the home inspection. He also wrote the coil issue on the receipt of the HVAC inspection and it was available shortly after the inspection. Buying a house/townhome is very stressful and having a team of expertise was very helpful. I am so glad I found the right people to help with making an informed decision for such a huge purchase.
