Over a year ago, I requested quotes on Yelp for sofa cleaning. (Side note: if you've never used the "Request a Quote" feature on the app, you should -- send one inquiry and Yelp forwards it to multiple companies for you.) Of the quotes I got back, H Town Steam was the most competitive. I didn't end up booking at the time, but circled back a few days ago and asked them to confirm the pricing from before. They responded right away and I got it scheduled. We had to adjust the timing a couple of times, but they were responsive and accommodating throughout. Shai showed up and did a great job on the cleaning. There was a small discrepancy between the price I was quoted and what he had on hand, so I flagged it and showed him my conversation with their sales rep. He called management on the spot and got it corrected immediately. Great first experience overall -- I'll definitely use them again. read more

Terrible experience. The pictures below are from 2-3 days after the service. Nothing that I wanted to addressed prior to the cleaning was ever addressed. If, anything they showed up to crown my carpet within 30 minutes which they were 3-4 hrs late for. I would've done a better job renting something from Home Depot. What an awesome company! I called anticipating having an are rug cleaned after my move. However, when they showed up, I couldn't find the rug!‍ Lo and behold, I later found out my family had thrown the rug away (smh!)‍ But! Not to be out done and not waste their time, I had them clean an ottoman and three small rugs. They are fast and very reasonable. They are definitely on my use again list. Just WOW!! I chose H-Town based on Yelp reviews and so glad I did. They power washed my front porch (pollen and dirt) and it looks awesome just in time for trick or treaters. They also steam cleaned all my carpets and got a wine stain out of the stairs that I have been unable to clean in my own. We expected to redo the carpet but now it looks brand new. Looks like I never finished this review... oops. It's from 2021 winter ice storms, had a leak and was able to get them out ASAP to steam and clean the carpet so it didn't get mold or mildew. At the time it was virtually impossible to find anyone because everyone in town had the same issues. They were prompt, quick, affordable, pleasant and efficient. Made what could have been a stressful time easy and effortless. They're based up north Spring / Woodlands area and didn't charge extra to come near downtown to do the work. I called, made and appointment and believe they were on-site 1 or 2 days later. Came right after the plumber and drywall and painter folks were finished. Found them on Yelp. I use Yelp to find all my home repair and improvement folks. Love that I can read others' reviews. It always guides me to the best people. read more

I hired this company to clean my carpets to save time while preparing my house to be shown. Pros- they got me on the schedule quick and affordable. Our technician was friendly. Unfortunately, after the service was completed, there were still a couple visible spots left behind. I was able to remove them myself with a Rug Doctor rental and spot cleaning, so it wasn't an issue of being hard to remove. Given the results, I wish I would have had the time to just do the cleaning myself from the start. However, if you don't have visible spots, those areas of my carpet where he cleaned look fine. read more

Jeremiah came to clean my carpet this morning. He was timely, professional, and cleaned the carpet at my apartment very quickly and effectively. I am happy with the level of communication (calling and texting a day before, and notifying me when he was on his way). I will keep this place in mind for future carpet cleaning! No weird smells from product or anything lingered in the space cleaned. Jeremiah did indicate that the carpet might take 6 hours to fully dry. H town clean was a great service. They had a good price on a one room clean with a walk in closet. The guy that came out was quick and efficient. The carpet wasn't as clean as we'd like it not from a looks perspective but from a feel perspective after the first go round. They were able to come out again for a free go over and after that clean it felt much better. The carpet is old so I believe they did the best that they could. On the day of the appointment the technician was running late, but he kept me informed about it. He did a good job in explaining in detail about tough stains. However, I was not too happy with the initial cleaning. After a brief follow up with the customer service, they scheduled a free touch up & clean up service. It was quick. Update: I'd like to update my original review of H-Town Steam. While they didn't show up for our scheduled carpet cleaning on Sunday, June 1.. and we couldn't get in touch with anyone at the time, which was really stressful with our move-out deadline.. they've since reached out and completely made things right!! The owner was very kind, apologized for the miscommunication, and got us rescheduled quickly. They even offered a discount to make up for the inconvenience, which we really appreciated. I don't like leaving negative reviews quickly, but we were in a time crunch with our lease ending and needed to act fast. That said, we're really happy with how they handled everything after the fact and would definitely recommend them going forward! -------------- Absolutely do not recommend. We scheduled a steam carpet cleaning for our move-out and confirmed the appointment ahead of time. The company never showed up... and worse, never contacted us to cancel, reschedule, or explain. We waited around and tried to reach out, but got no response. Completely unprofessional and caused a lot of unnecessary stress during an already hectic move. After posting my previous review, I was contacted by the business. They were willing to do whatever it took to make things right. We arranged for someone to return to my home, with no charge, to counteract the odor in my rug. Chris explained why the odor was probably so strong to begin with and made sure we were pleased before he left. THIS is customer service. This is why we prefer to use a local company in the first place. I don't write reviews to get something in return, but an honest, upright business wants to know when they don't get it right so they can fix things. Humans working with humans will have issues. From what you guys had to remove from my carpet y'all should have taken a before and after photo. My daughter decided to open my acrylic paint and dump it on the floor then my red nail polishes. We were told by over 6 companies that it couldn't be removed. When these guys came they told my husband they thought the stains would be hard to treat but they said the stains were not deep in the carpet and thank god we got half of it off the floor before it set in. They got the stains out in less than 30 minutes saved my husband thousands of dollars with ripping the carpet up and getting new put in. There's something about a local company that makes me rejoice! I ran across H-Town Steam on Yelp and after reading the great reviews I reached out. I also reached out to a few other locals, however H-Town Steam was the very first response (can you say SPEED?!) They proceeded to match this speed all across the board not only via their virtual response time, but in person as well! My technician was supposed to arrive between 2 and 4pm this past Saturday, so I advised the young lady that called to confirm my appointment the day before that I had accidentally double booked myself and that if he arrived closer to 4, I may have to cancel (and I really didn't want to!). To my surprise, Chris called a little after 1pm stating that he could be at my place by 1:36! We walked through the spaces that would be cleaned, reviewed cost, and by 1:45pm Chris was hard at work. Before 3pm everything was done, cleaned up, and smelling good! He got some tough stains out!!! Took about 45 mins/1 hour for two rooms. They had a special so it was only $140 and change including tax. I am very happy with the result and will definitely become a repeat customer. Thanks H-Town Steam for rocking it during a pandemic!! H-Town Steam - Carpet Cleaning Near Me - Spring, Texas

We fostered a male cat who marked the carpet in one of our rooms. I did my best to clean it out, but the smell still lingered weeks later. I hired this company to clean the entire room and eliminate the odor. After coming out and performing a (very) brief visual inspection of the room, I was told by their rep that a simple cleaning with enzyme spray (Unchained) would do the trick and eliminate the smell. Well, it did not. After their 15-20 minute cleaning, the ENTIRE HOUSE reeked of urine. I was told that the smell would go away after a few hours. It did not. Two days later the whole house still smelled. After calling them again, they sent the same representative back out who THEN inspected the padding beneath the carpet and told me that the urine had soaked through. Not only would cleaning not solve the problem, I would need to replace the padding AND the carpet in the entire room. Well, if you'd told me that from the get-go, I wouldn't have paid $150+ to have the carpet cleaned, now would I? Either they didn't tell me this on purpose, so I'd pay to have it cleaned anyway, or they didn't know because they didn't do a proper inspection before starting the job. In either case, it was a total rip off. The best part is that I've been promised a manager call-back every day for the last 3 straight days, but nobody has called. 100% Satisfaction Guarantee my ass. I'll be filing a dispute with my credit card provider. I don't know how this company got a 5-star rating but they don't deserve it based on my experience. Absolutely shameful. UPDATE: The manager that I spoke to (Sue) promised me a refund - I would guess they saw my review. 8 days later, no refund. Sent a follow up email, received a refund for approximately $54, or 1/3 of what I paid them. Sue said this is all she had been "authorized" to refund. After pressing further, they sent over an additional partial refund, but held back $20 as this had already been paid to the technician. You know, the one who made my house smell like urine for several days. I've given up on seeing that last $20. It simply isn't worth the headache to continue dealing with these people.
