We purchased our home in 2023, and the attic had not been touched since it was built in 1983. The insulation and ductwork were outdated, and during the process, an old, previously covered leak was discovered and properly repaired with new piping by the old owners but not the ceiling. During the project, an unexpected incident occurred when a team member stepped into an unsafe area and accidentally broke through from the attic into our downstairs bedroom. While understandably shaken and apologetic, what stood out most was how Joe immediately prioritized his employee's well-being while also reassuring us that everything would be taken care of. In an unexpected way, this moment turned into a blessing. When the ceiling was opened, mold was discovered that we otherwise would not have known about. The team addressed it immediately and replaced everything properly. It truly felt like it happened for a reason, and we're grateful it was caught and resolved the right way. We couldn't be more satisfied with Pro Attic's entire operation. We have a 2-story 1984 built home with 4 different attics that contained degraded original fiberglass insulation. We opted to have the original insulation removed, all gaps air-sealed, and new fiberglass blown in to 14". Joe's inspection and estimate was very thorough, not rushed, and there was no attempt at an 'up sell'. The estimate was itemized, clear, with no evidence of nickel and dimeing. His knowledge base was exceptional. We obtained estimates from 3 companies and took our time making a decision. Amy in the business office kept in touch with us but did not pester us for a decision or timeline. She also called us immediately when the job was finished (on a Sunday) to inquire about our satisfaction. Good communication. Orlando and his crew arrived on time (again on a Sunday so we didn't have to miss work) and were very courteous, hardworking, and professional. Their attention to detail was very impressive and they went above and beyond what was contracted. They re-hung some of our ductwork and did a fantastic job revising our attic plywood storage area. They were careful not to damage anything including our fragile fiber optic internet cable and all electrical wires. They could not have done a better job of cleaning up and there was no signs that such an extensive project was even done. I worked with ProAttic to get my house refurbished after the February 2021 freeze in Texas. It was a significant amount of work as I had no less than 12 broken pipes. As a result the whole garage ceiling, most of the kitchen ceiling, the ceiling in my office and the closet in my office all needed to be entirely replaced. ProAttic did a great job, they were quick to get dehumidifiers into the affected areas to dry things out. They also put up plastic so that my house wasn't open to the attic as repairs were being made. It made a great difference in keeping the house heated/cooled and livable. They worked with me they whole way through, as well as the insurance company to make sure everything would be properly reimbursed. Kudos to Amica! They also did many little extras that in the end, made my house a better than before. So I will always thank Joe and the gang at ProAttic, and will never forget them. As they work closely together, I will also give a super heads up to Manny of Royal Flush plumbing who I now consider to not only be my go-to plumber, but a good friend as well. He got water flowing back in my house within a day of the pipes thawing out. Truly a tremendous effort... and everything was done with top-notch professionalism and quality. Though not part of the insurance repair, I also had him put in a new sink and faucet, garbage disposal and dish washer. Thanks all... Pro Attic was great from start to finish. I highly recommend using them! Before beginning the work, they took the time to lay floor protection, including on the wooden stairs. Moe was very knowledgeable and did an exceptional job running the team. In one day's time they replaced all of my attic bat insulation with R-38, installed two turbine fans and also added an attic solar fan to vent out the heat in the attic. Regarding the R38 bat insulation, they strapped all of it in place to ensure it would not fall and create a hot spot. They did all of this work with ease and an impressive amount of efficiency. But, I was particularly impressed with Pro Attic after it completed the work in the attic. Rather than simply leave, they took the time to thoroughly clean up, including vacuuming 2 flights of stairs as well as the second floor landing area and first floor foyer. Moreover, when one of the guys didn't have anything to do for a little while, Moe had him clean all of the air returns around the house, including vacuuming in side of those returns, at no charge. I can be a demanding and critical customer, especially when it comes to work done on my home. But, these guys were fantastic in everything that they did, and I walked away thoroughly impressed by their work and the ethics they exhibited. Again, I cannot recommend Pro Attic enough to others. Mo walked into my house in a very professional manner, and while I was busy with work and needed to leave in under an hour, he checked my attic, took measures, and provided an estimate. He offered way more than any other company. We spoke clearly and answered all my questions, including extras, and his crew did a fantastic job. Esteban, the main guy from his crew, was amazing. showed me everything they were doing; they cleaned up my AC, my attic, and ducts, and they were professional and nice. They did an amazing job cleaning and sanitizing the whole spaces they worked with and put the extra cherry on the top. I had an event in which my hot water heater in my attic had erupted subsequently causing water damage and a ceiling collapse in two bedrooms in the home. Pro Attic did an amazing job remediating the damage and rebuilding back the damaged areas of the home as if nothing had occurred. They had worked alongside my insurance company and the claims adjuster in providing them detailed invoices and assessments along with taking upon the hassle of the back and forth negotiations on settling the claim. They were extremely attentive in detail and patient with the run-around my insurance company was putting us through. Though I hope I would not need them for the services rendered again, they would be my first referral if anyone is in need of remediation and remodeling due to any incurred damages. These guys are exceptional at what they do. Very professional, very thorough, and great attention to detail. Joe handled everything from estimate to installation and was very responsive and respectful of my home. I had an animal problem in the attic that went undocumented during my home purchase process but I eventually figured it out. The state of my attic prior to Mani and Joe was atrocious. They worked efficiently and tirelessly to correct this and restore my attic to a clean and safe space. During the process they identified additional things which my inspector missed so I was able to resolve some electrical issues at the same time. Once they cleared out everything, replaced the duct work, sterilized the attic, and blew in new insulation the air quality in my home is noticeably better! From the time that Joseph (project supervisor) came in to give me a bid, I was impressed with what he had seen in my attic that would improve my efficiency. I called for a quote and they scheduled a rep (Moe) to come out the same day. After having received quotes from two other companies, I decided to work with Pro Attic because I agreed my insulation and duct work needed to be replaced. Pro Attic had six industrious servicemen out to remove my old insulation and clean the attic, install new penlum box and duct work, clean the air registers, patch any gaps/cracks where air might escape and blow in new insulation. They managed to accomplish this all in less than five hours. The team was efficient and took care to cover anything in my home that could be affected by the dust and debris from the service. I can feel that the air flow is more powerful and balanced and I'm looking forward to better energy bills in the coming weeks. ProAttic upgraded our attic insulation in our 1960's home. Shaggy was the foreman on the job. I would recommend him to anyone looking for insulation work. He was honest, dependable, clear, and did everything he promised up front. We had ALL of our old/decrepit insulation removed, all of the gaps in our drywall sealed, and new blow-in/batt insulation installed in our attic. The crew was efficient, responsible, and cleaned up after they were done. There were a few areas the crew missed, but Shaggy gave me multiple opportunities to survey the job and made sure I was 100% happy with the work. I made several requests day-of that went 100% answered, no questions asked. Overall I honestly can't say enough. As far as the results - we used to see a 7 degree temperature differential between upstairs and downstairs in our home. We now average about a 3 degree differential - that's a HUGE improvement in an old home (that still needs lots of TLC). read more
