This is my second review of Mann Eye in the past 90 days. I made an appointment to see my cataract surgeon, but my appointment ended with an optometrist instead of the doctor I'd made the appointment with. The point of my visit was to discuss the floater I'd been bothered with recently. Nothing was resolved, however, notes were made on my chart so that if I wanted to follow up, the notes would be there. Several weeks ago, I did call back and say I wanted to follow up about the floaters. I was told I needed to see Dr. Andreas Gonzalez. Today I had an appointment with Dr. Andreas Gonzalez. I waited 35 minutes before seeing a technician who did testing (the recent eye appointment was a comprehensive one so testing was a repeat) and dilated my eyes. Finally, an hour and a half later (after watching the same video three times), I saw the doctor. He examined my eyes briefly and then continued with the technician's discussion of macular degeneration. After explaining a treatment they are offering, I said I'd like to do more research before considering. Dr. Gonzales then said to follow up in a year. When I realized he was dismissing me without having addressed the reason for my visit, I was stunned. Once I mentioned it, he gave me some information, but I realized that one of the procedures I was hoping to discuss, he doesn't even do! Not only is Dr. Gonzales condescending, he is also unprepared--doesn't come to an appointment ready to discuss why the patient is there! He seemed way more interested in "selling" me a treatment. Unconscionable is the only word I can find to describe the wasted two and a half hours I spent today. read more

Great experience with Lone Star Pro. We had a really dirty AC vent in one of our bathrooms so we had an AC tech look at it. He saw mold growing all inside the vent and referred us to Lone Star. Thankfully, it was just run-of-the-mill mold and not black mold or anything. Still, it was unpleasant especially since I'm pregnant. Anyway, we called them on a Friday afternoon hoping to expedite service (since I was concerned about breathing in mold). Even though George was clearly very busy with pending projects (I think he may have been out-of-state at the time), he was able to explain a lot on the phone (as much as he could without actually seeing the vent in-person). He was also able to squeeze us in the next morning (a Saturday). In the morning, George came in-person to take a look at the vents and explain everything about the potential cleaning service. He was patient and took the time to answer all our questions. His team (two guys) were the ones actually performing the mold cleaning and George left after talking to us. I appreciated that he made sure to be there in-person to get us all set up. The job was performed relatively quickly (we had to leave for a couple hours) and we were satisfied with the service overall. Ultimately, great communication and service. (Yelp says my location is "Helotes, TX", but I live in West Oak Forest in Houston) I called them in May of last year to clean mold out of my A/C. They charged me for cleaning and sanitization but they did NOTHING to eliminate the mold in my system (see attached photos of the mold they never cleaned) I tried calling them to have them come correct the situation. They no-showed for that service call and then told me that they are booked for 3-4 weeks. He then claims that I declined a plenum cleaning and that I'd have to pay EXTRA for that. Why would I decline a plenum cleaning if that's where the mold lives??? I asked for a refund, and George says they offer no refunds or warranties. If you decide to use them... Good luck! read more

The representative became rude when asked to disclose the recommended chemical for encapsulating mold areas instead of removing them as suggested by the EPA. He also stated that his solution was only temporary and we would need to call him again. He also suggested we consider removing our entire HVAC system, which is appalling. The purpose of the three hour window is that they are able to provide you an assessment in the first hour and if the price is workable, they will do the work immediately after inspection. George wore a protective covering over his school to protect tracking in dirt. He did a fine job discussing all the work require to have clean duct and eliminating mold, Mildew and bacteria. He did a good job cleaning the duct, unfortunately my entire front yard, side yard, and front entry are cover in bits of lint. Edgar Came out and removed the smell of mold from our A/C ducts. They came out originally and did a wonderful job. About a month went by and a faint smell returned. They came back out at no charge and treated the system again. The smell is gone. Edgar had told us originally that the initial smell may return but they guaranteed there work. I called Lone Star because the company that originally cleaned our ducts and guaranteed their work and has a 24/7 cal line never answered my calls when I had a mold issue afterwords. I was very upset and have a baby at home. The person who answered at Lone Star answered on my first call. They got someone out for an inspection that same day even though they were booked bc we have a baby and had mold detected. The service man arrived in the evening after his booked day (as I mentioned they squeezed me in same day).He was nice and explained things thoroughly. My rescheduled appointment, nobody showed up, I called, they said they went to another customer because we have a similar name. I was rescheduled to the next day. My second rescheduled appointment, I called to verify if they are coming, and to verify the arrival window, I was told the crew was wrapping up the current assignment and will be heading to my place. 2.5hr after the phone call, nobody showed up. I decided to cancel my booking. If you are very flexible in scheduling, you may try Lone Star Pro. If you care about getting things done on time on schedule, Lone Star Pro is not good for you. Scheduling was easy, and Tim and Pedro showed up promptly at the expected time. We have a lot of tile in our house, and it took them full day to clean it all. It was astonishing to look at an area that was halfway cleaned, and see a definite line and clear difference between the cleaned and not cleaned sections. I didn't think it could be cleaned because of the length of time it had soaked. I called them and gave them the details. They said they thought they'd be able to get it clean.
