    Professional containment

Highly recommend this business if you have mold damage issues or water damage. First thing that caught my eye is how clean everyone in the crew. They do their work extremely well and very clean. Not a single dust particle came into my house while work is being performed. Project finished on time, and passed inspection from the first time. Very pleased with services. Thank you Lone Star Pro Services crew and George!

(Yelp says my location is "Helotes, TX", but I live in West Oak Forest in Houston) I called them in May of last year to clean mold out of my A/C. They charged me for cleaning and sanitization but they did NOTHING to eliminate the mold in my system (see attached photos of the mold they never cleaned) I tried calling them to have them come correct the situation. They no-showed for that service call and then told me that they are booked for 3-4 weeks. He then claims that I declined a plenum cleaning and that I'd have to pay EXTRA for that. Why would I decline a plenum cleaning if that's where the mold lives??? I asked for a refund, and George says they offer no refunds or warranties. If you decide to use them... Good luck!

We have used Lone Star 2 times for cleaning our dryer lint duct. The first time was great. This second time I am disappointed. He did a good job cleaning the duct, unfortunately my entire front yard, side yard, and front entry are cover in bits of lint. (Pictures included)If you have any synthetic clothes it is NOT biodegradable lint. https://operations.tufts.edu/recycle/news/2013/03/12/lint-to-compost-or-not-to-compost/ We will not be using Lone Star again.

George spent a few hours at my home today making my tile floors look 100% cleaner! The price was very reasonable and the workmanship was fantastic. I wish I'd done it years ago!!

They actually answered and arranged the appointment via text around 9pm, which totally surprised us. In a good way. Most places wouldn't even bother responding that late. The owner was pleasant, responsive, and got us connected right away. It was such a relief to have someone reliable handle the referral quickly. 5 stars all the way. Professional, helpful, and on top of it. Would absolutely use again.

**More details but same review** Anthony came to the property to do an inspection of the home but…read moresomehow only managed to inspect the livingroom and tiny "hallway" connected to it. Which were the two spot I pointed him to as the worst in the house but were absolutely not the only affected areas. Something I brought up to later on which he turned into a "miscommunication" on my part. No Anthony. There's no miscommunication about you not doing a job you were paid for. Unfortunately our landlord then turned around and hired Anthony to do the retesting during remediation and Anthony suggested a remediation company that did not have their license to run a remediation company (see photos) but the quality of their work and complete confusion when asked anything during the process was telling even before online confirmation. Two areas in the living room were written in the report that needed to be addressed by remediation professionals. Day 2 of remediation, we stop by the house to check the mail and to be nosy about the process at the house thus far. They completely missed and didn't do ANYTHING to one of the two areas in the living room even after we asked them why they weren't touching that area (they had no idea they needed too despite the report having it) and when bringing it to Anthony's attention (as well as him not doing any moisture readings or checking any other room or area in the house) he ignored the questions. There was a failed retest that we never got the results from and then a passing one 3 days later showing ZERO counts of black mold. Don't know how that could have been since no fans or dehumidifiers were used at any point. The second round of remediation after the failed attempt, was just one guy cleaning up the mess the first round left behind and him putting a fan in the kitchen with a bag on it that led out the kitchen window (we have cameras dummy) Also, locating and fixing the issue that was causing the mold in that one area until AFTER remediation was completed. The whole house smelling of mold and walls dripping with moisture still when we were allowed back in. I brought all of this up to Anthony and he played dumb but was all too ready to remind me of THCs price points if I wanted him to come back to the property and check things out. I also got the craziest one way-ed non-disparagement release/settlement from their lawyer that I've ever seen. They are insane if they think people should sign that just to get their money back for a job not done in the slightest and give them the power to sue you if they decide some random persons bad review of their business is connected to you in anyway imaginable. I gave multiple options for renegotiating terms and contract modifications that were mutually beneficial and they would not budge a fraction of an inch. Feeling guilty boys?

Let me preface this with, I'm only giving 2 stars because while the problem was fixed the level of…read moreservice was horrendous. This company was contracted through American Home Shield to fix a cracked pipe behind our toilet. The area it cracked was before the shutoff valve so pressurized water almost flooded the bathroom, so I had to shut off our main water line outside for a full day until they arrived. The interaction started off normal, he came into our house and I explained to him the issue. Showed him the exact problem (picture attached), and assumed this should be an easy fix to either seal the PVC pipe or just replace the 3inch section. He proceeds to text on his phone to his company regarding the issues, asking me what's behind this wall. Confused I told him the laundry room. He then tells me, he will most likely need to remove the toilet to access the pipe (2 inches behind the wall), and that AHS does not cover its removal (i asked, they do, they only need to call to get authorization), and that it would cost $432 to (directly to his company) just move the toilet and repair the pipe. I told him, no, you can access it without doing that, and he said, "how do you expect me to cut the wall with the toilet in the way". In which I responded, the same way I did to show where the crack was. I reiterate he can fix the pipe and access the wall without removing a toilet. He doesn't say anything goes outside, for a few mins, come back into the bathroom. He tells me he will need to make a bigger hole in the wall, I said ok. In less than 5 mins he fixed the pipe with a sharkbite fitting and turned back on the water. He then gets up and says "I'm done", proceeds to walk out the door and get in his van and leave. He didn't provide a completed work order for me to sign to verify his work, or even explain what exactly he did he just left. I had to call the company to get them to send me a copy of the invoice. Also, AHS provides for the plumbing company to repair, any holes caused by the damage or access needed. He didn't even attempt to do that. He left in such a hurry and with no clean up of the drywall, that he even left his PVC pipe cutter (pic below). So I was left with a large hole, drywall on the floor, and had to call AHS to send ANOTHER company to come to repair the wall, as a continuation of the current work order. I was courteous to this gentlemen (i even went back on my cameras to see if it was something i said), so I'm not sure if it was my refusal for him to upcharge me nearly $500 for a service that's included with AHS. Or the fact that the problem was diagnosed before he arrived and the repair was always going to be extremely simple (I'm honestly afraid of what he would have tried to charge if I hadn't seen where the exact problem was.) But the way he left without an explanation, a completed workorder, cleanup of the damage/repair area, or repair of the wall afterwards was extremely discourteous and rude. I caution everyone with home warranties, please know your service contracts before you deal with this company. Potentially having to remove a toilet to fix a pipe is absolutely included with my contract, fixing a hole in the wall is also included with the contract. Cleaning up may not be included, but what contractor do you know would come repair something, and then leave things in disarray. Please be aware of who you hire.

It took weeks to get an appt scheduled after the winter storm, they missed the original scheduled appointment, due to calling me at 6:58 the evening they were supposed to arrive and left a voicemail that it would need to be re-scheduled. They were scheduled to arrive between 4-7p... Called back 30 seconds later, no answer.. I go on with my day. Apparently they arrive sometime between 8p-9p and tried to get ahold of me, but missed that contact as I was busy at that time, expecting them to call the next morning to re-schedule, as my voicemail requested. Get ahold of them the next morning, and am blamed for not having picked up the phone or allowed them into my house at 9p... Should have been the first sign, but I kept my cool, and politely asked them to schedule the appointment for the day after I returned from being out of town a week. So we're three weeks now without hot water. So they finally arrive that Thursday, check it out and put in the service request with my home warranty company. The price continued to climb as we went back and forth and eventually agreed on the work to be completed. Whatever, I just want hot water. Another week passes before they arrive to install the new water heater. Two workers arrive, one a supervisor apparently, and get started. They chop the plumbing and begin to remove the original water heater, when the realize it won't fit out the door. Most people would get out a sawzall and cut it up and remove it.. This wasn't an issue, except for the fact that they didnt seem to want to remove it, and the new water heater wouldnt fit in the door... Measurements count yall, measure twice, think thrice and cut once. So I go from $1000 out of pocket to 4300 for a tankless they can fit through the door easily. No word still of removing the old unit, and I threw a fit given the delays and now 400% cost increase? I would have bought the tankless in the first place had they offered that as an option, but that wasnt till after the fact. They did knock down the price, but I can't get them to actually set an appointment now to come back and install the thing, because of some issue with them taking payment? I've now called two days in a row and been told by Rose who forgets who I am now every call, that a supervisor would be in touch, haven't heard a word in 24 hours. Further, they just left the water heater disconnected, completely in the way of the hvac, they were told I was having serviced the following day and plumbing crap all over the floor. I will say the supervisor was initially helpful in trying to get the situation resolved, he did get the tankless discounted but has since disappeared, Still waiting on that call back though, with nothing but cold water still basically a month later. I'm a patient person, but now that I know I can cash out the money on my home warranty and find another plumber, it appears I may have to. Trying to be reasonable with these people, and would love to get this resolved, but time will tell whether it will be SAP completing the work at this point or someone else.
