I guess it's called "Virtual Consultation" during Covid-19 pandemic. Within 2 hours, I got a quote and secured an appointment. I immediately contacted my insurance agent to start a claim. On my first day meeting Austin for damage assessment, he brought Wilmer to start water mitigation. Austin is the supervisor, as you already know from other reviews. He quickly setup dehumidifier, fan and heavy-duty HEPA air purifier. In the same week, they came back with another helper Juan to perform tear out and sprayed fungicide to kill molds and checking for additional damage. I want to share my experience based on my initial connection before this review gets too long. Next thing is to rebuild my room. Having to wait on my insurance claim approval. Warning to Homeowners - Deceptive Experience with Air Quality Express (July 3, 2025)…read moreOn July 3, 2025, a representative named David from Air Quality Express came to my home for a scheduled inspection. He arrived, quickly performed what he called an "inspection," and told me we had mold in our ducts. As a parent of small children, I was immediately concerned for their health and safety, so I agreed to move forward with remediation. While "explaining" the work, I began recording the interaction to share with my husband. David showed me photos he claimed were from my ducts, showing what appeared to be extensive mold. He then told me he had a crew that could be at my house within the hour and quoted me $1,500. Shortly after he left, the weather turned bad--heavy rain began. When the technicians arrived, they sat in their van for over 15 minutes, likely due to the storm. At that point, I decided to reschedule--the weather made it hard to believe they could do the job properly, and I couldn't leave the house with an infant and toddler in such conditions. I called their office, and the representative was kind and professional, assuring me she would coordinate a new time. Then I received a call from David. The tone changed immediately. He was rude, aggressive, and completely unprofessional. When I explained I just wanted to reschedule, he called me a liar and claimed he should have taken 20% of the payment upfront. I was shocked. I was shaking after the call--no one deserves to be treated that way for simply wanting to reschedule during a storm. I informed the technicians that I would not be moving forward, and they left. A few days later, I called a different air duct company. They thoroughly inspected my system and confirmed: There was NO MOLD in any of my ducts. The photos David showed me were not from my home. I had been lied to. Thankfully, I have video proof of David showing me the supposed "mold" photos and quoting the $1,500. I have reported this incident to the Texas Attorney General and my local police department (for my safety because I do not feel safe after the way this man spoke to me) due to the deceptive and unethical conduct. BOTTOM LINE: Air Quality Express tried to scare me into paying for unnecessary services using fake photos and high-pressure tactics. The behavior I experienced--especially from David--was aggressive, dishonest, and highly unprofessional. Beware. Get a second opinion. Record interactions. Don't be afraid to walk away.

After initially hiring them for mold remediation, I paid for the service and was promised a complete job. Unfortunately, I was met with a series of unprofessional and unethical practices from this company. The first red flag occurred during the service when one of their workers unexpectedly told me that I needed to pay an additional $400, even though I had already received a firm quote of $1,525. Naturally, this raised concerns, and I refused to pay the extra charge. I immediately called their office to report them and after confirming with the office that my original quote was the agreed price, I felt uneasy about the integrity of the company. This attempt to charge more than the agreed-upon amount made me question whether the job was actually being done thoroughly. To ensure I wasn't being taken advantage of, I called another mold remediation company for an independent inspection when they left. I did not inform this second company that Air Quality Express had already performed any work, as I wanted their assessment to be completely unbiased. This company took photos and confirmed that mold still remained, and that the work Air Quality Express had promised to complete was not done. I immediately called Air Quality Express to report this and sent an email outlining my concerns. Instead of addressing the issue, they sent the same dishonest crew back to my home, despite my email asking them not to. Reluctantly, I allowed the crew back in, hoping they would take the opportunity to complete the work they had failed to finish. They arrived and said they were there to clean the mold in areas they had previously disregarded. However, after only being in my home for a short time, they said they were done and left without showing me any photos of their work. I requested pictures of the work they just completed and wanted the same angles showing the mold that still remained, I was told that "David" would send them to me. A bit later, I received two photos from David via text, it was not what I had asked for. Instead of photos showing the cleaned mold areas, it was a picture of what appeared to be a spray or some product applied all over, with mold still remaining, rather than the proper cleaning that should have been done. At this point, I called another company to come out and inspect their so-called "fix." This company took photos that Air Quality Express conveniently failed to provide, and those photos showed that the mold was still there. I then had to move forward with hiring another company to complete the work, paying again for the service that Air Quality Express failed to deliver. To add to my frustration, I am now out of pocket twice, and Air Quality Express has failed to offer a refund, even partial. Their excuses for the incomplete work have been both inadequate and unconvincing. This company's practices are unethical and irresponsible. The lack of professionalism, integrity, and customer care is appalling. I have already reported them to the Better Business Bureau (as have others) and will be pursuing further actions to ensure I am reimbursed for the money I spent to fix the incomplete work.
