I initially contacted Zenith after Hurricane Beryl in 2024 to complete a free estimate for water damage at my home. They submitted an estimate to my insurance company, but when the adjuster requested a formal quote, Zenith was unable to provide one. As a result, my claim was denied. After seeking legal counsel, my claim was finally approved in 2026. Unfortunately, legal fees consumed a significant portion of the funds, leaving me unable to move forward with Zenith due to cost. I reached out to request a simple letter confirming that they would no longer be the contractor so I could proceed with another company within my budget. At that point, I encountered serious issues with a representative named Ehis. He delayed responding to me after promising a callback and then spoke to me in an unprofessional and disrespectful manner. During multiple conversations, he raised his voice, made dismissive statements such as "I run this business and everything goes through me," and incorrectly claimed that the insurance funds belonged to Zenith simply because they provided a free estimate. We scheduled a meeting for Tuesday, May 25 to formally terminate the relationship. However, on May 23, after I left an honest review about my experience, he called me at 9:30 a.m. and again spoke disrespectfully, stating I had no right to leave a negative review. He told me to meet him at the office after 12:00 p.m., but when I arrived at approximately 1:30 p.m., the office was closed with no one present. When I called again, he stated he had already left for another client and instructed me to email my personal documents instead--then hung up the phone. I had three witnesses with me who overheard these interactions. This experience has been extremely frustrating and unprofessional. I expected basic courtesy and clear communication, especially given the circumstances surrounding my claim. Instead, I was met with hostility, lack of accountability, and poor follow-through. What is horrible company. My mom's house had a fire in the garage in October. I rushed to protect my mom after work, but dearly wished I followed my gut, and decline their assistance. My mom and aunt are ok, and her home is mostly destroyed by the fire. My mom is 77 and is a retired senior. And im sure this terrible company was excited to get the call so they can prey on helpless people like my mom. ZDCP misrepresented themselves and my vulnerable mom believed them. They told her we work with State Farm. No, like anyone else, all you do is submit your inflated invoices to them. We told them specifically the only thing they are allowed to do was to board up the garage. They never told me their price. Had they told me the price, I would have told them to leave immediately! A month later, we get this ludicrous invoice stating we owe $3850 for boarding up the garage. And are currently threatening, they will file a lien on her home. I'm speaking to a lawyer now. And this 1 star review will be posted on every social media review website. google, yelp, Angi, wheree, birdeye, yahoo local, Mapquest, And any other local review website I can find. I will not take it down for a reduced invoice. I know how scummy companies like yours operates. Once you receive too many negative complaints you'll just pack up this LLC, and start a company in a new DBA/LLC. I've also contact Amy Davis for KPRC Investigative Reporter/ consumer advocate for her assistant. I hope she does a scam piece on TV, to prevent others from falling prey to companies like yours. What a terrible experience as an employee with this company I can't stand by a company that promises a customer they will be there at a certain time and never show up. I can't stand by a company that says they will help a customer from start to finish and will show up to take the money for water Damage but will take months later to reconstruct and make them look like new as promised. If you are looking for broken promises please book this company. I called this company to remediate the mold in the house. They said it would take 3 days. This is 3 weeks later and my home is stripped to nothing, no home to live in and having to stay in a hotel with no reimbursement and we are up to 4000 and getting more every day. From day one they did not follow protocol in getting the mold encapsulation done. I do have the encapsulation ALL OVER MY GRANITE and a special procedure to remove it. All I wanted was to have the mold removed, and to pass inspection. Yes we failed the first inspection. If someone out there is reading this for the same reason do not for your own health use Zenith. First off let me say, when you wake up at 3:00 am and hear water running, it scares the s**t out of you. I did quick google search and found Zenith Disaster and Cleanup Services; they responded within 30 minutes of my call. Explained the process and stated the cleanup, by sunrise all water was cleaned up and set fans and other equipment. I contacted by insurance company, agreed to me using my contractor and the whole process, even though it took weeks to straighten out was better than I expected. Our home got water intrusion from Beryl unexpectedly. It is my first time in my entire life to deal with this mess. The entire flooring has to go! Well, what about the sheetrock of the interior walls where the water went through? That is why I had to find a professional to figure it out. The first company came by yesterday and told us that our house has moisture (they showed us the meter reading)! They quoted us $3500 maximum for the job to dry up everything. We were kind of stunned. When I asked them to put the quote in writing, they refused to do so. They said the job may become complicated once they open up the sheetrock (if there is mold). My gut feeling told me to get a second opinion just to make sure that the first company was telling us the truth. I called up a few more places to see if they could drop by real soon if possible??? (I know it was Friday ... not likely anyone wanted to see us ... some told us next week and some said they were busy). Okay ... we will wait. When I called Zenith Disaster Clean Up, they took down my contact right away! Within 30 minutes or less, I got a call and a text from Taylor/Skylar that they were on the way! We were very surprised ... they looked very professional/friendly/polite/prompt! I told them what happened exactly when Beryl hit. We were very concerned about what was behind the shelf in the dining room as we honestly had zero clue if there were any water damages/mold growing there. We were told by the insurance adjuster that we should have the shelf removed! Taylor took a closer look at everything I pointed out. He said nope no water damages/mold growing in the walls and behind the shelf! He then took out his brand new moisture meter ($1600) and put it near the surrounding area of the shelf. It said DRY. I then brought up the first company told us that it was WET. Then Taylor told us that there are plenty of companies out there who will scam people by putting their fingers on the moisture meter and the reading will go to WET! We were in total shock! We were still kind of worried about the sheetrock ... in order to put my mind at ease (drop the worries), Skylar went ahead and took down the baseboards just to show us there no molds had grown without charging us a dime!!!!! No kidding!!!! Taylor made it very clear that he would tell us what he saw ... 100% honest/direct/trustworthy!!! In our case, we do not need any mold treatment/water damages repair, very thankfully speaking! Finally my family can get a good sleep tonight. Thank you so much once again to Taylor and Skylar!
