Turns out this outfit is worth their 5-stars - and then some. EXCELLENT customer service including accurate and frequent communication, fast response, quick turnaround, friendly people and most important - when a substantial problem (that they did not create) developed during the project - they came back after completion and corrected it the next day. And I'm sure it was probably at their expense. Not many companies like this around anymore. I know that for sure from nearly 70 years of experience with 50 in project management. It's a real crap shoot these days when contracting with anyone on YELP or pretty much anywhere else, as I unfortunately found out with that cable company that caused this entire problem. On my first day meeting Austin for damage assessment, he brought Wilmer to start water mitigation. Austin is the supervisor, as you already know from other reviews. He quickly setup dehumidifier, fan and heavy-duty HEPA air purifier. In the same week, they came back with another helper Juan to perform tear out and sprayed fungicide to kill molds and checking for additional damage. I want to share my experience based on my initial connection before this review gets too long. Next thing is to rebuild my room. Having to wait on my insurance claim approval. Eight months after Ian, Claremont pulled all slider doors, 2 per unit, including frames, to waterseal under thresholds, then damaged the frames when they put them back. Then they claimed the double pane seal might be damaged so bought all new doors for some units rather than just replace the allegedly faulty glass panels. They "salvaged" the other damaged doors and reinstalled them. Thanks to improper installation, Claremont broke the rollers so the doors would not open and ripped off the barrier that prevented bugs crawling in, and the doors leaked repeatedly. Untrained Claremont employees blundered through until Daydid slider company replaced rollers, added bug barriers, and properly caulked the fasteners, which worked for 2 years, but now they are leaking again. Claremont did not use stainless steel screws. PGT provides a list of certified installers. PGT warrantees doors installed by certified installers, but Claremont is not a certified installer so these 80+ new slider doors have no warrantee. Quality contractors use certified installers for the glazing product being installed. Claremont did not use certified installers. Therefore, Claremont is not a quality contractor.
