I have used Clean As A Whistle in the past to clean carpets and they do a good job. Which is why I chose them to clean 6 oriental carpets. They picked up 6 carpets and returned 5. They think that it was delivered to another customer by mistake, but have done very little to find the missing carpet. They offered to buy me a new rug, but I want my rug returned. read more

While they are pricey they have generally done a good job. I am selling my home and reached out to get my carpets cleaned for upcoming pics that I scheduled over the holidays . I used the online form to request an appointment and Robert called me the next business day to set up a time and to provide a quote. The quote included a discount for being a repeat and recent customer. I chose to go with CAAW because a) they were considerably less than quotes received from other carpet cleaning companies b) they could meet my schedule requirements c) they appeared to value my business as a repeat customer d) they had done a good job previously. The tech arrived on the scheduled date at the right time and reviewed my needs. However he quoted me a price that was almost $100 more than Rob had indicated on the phone. We called Rob to clarify - Rob said the tech price was correct. He said that it was the same price that I paid before (so much for the repeat customer discount). I asked him to honor the price he quoted by phone and he would not. So I cancelled the appointment and told him I would be writing a review. I've learned my lesson to always obtain a written quote so that both parties are aligned. read more

So today around 2 PM I was walking my dog when A Clean AS A WHISTLE van passed by me. When the driver saw me walking and he parked his van. He then followed me up and down the block . I realize he was following me when I would turn around the opposite direction and he would also U-turn the van to continue following me. He then stopped his van and started telling me that I'm cute and asking for my phone number. I repeatedly said no thank you however he continue to follow me. Once he heard I was on the phone with the police he started yelling at me that there was no need for me to call them and drove off. I called the number on the van and was transferred from Manager to Manager and was eventually hung up . I am now scared to walk my own dog in my neighborhood because this company allowed their employees to follow and harass young girls read more

We have used this company for years on clients homes they do a good job but are typically more expensive. So when I contacted them about having them help out with acid washing tile at customers homes that had minor flooding and have already been treated with microbial biocide I was shocked at a over a 3.00 a sft price. When I expressed that I felt this was price gouging and most insurances only pay 1.5 a sft or less. I told them I was going to pass on service and manager made some remark along the line of will you keep trying to save money and hung up Really I found another company to do it for .77 a sft call around people. read more

Clean as a Whistle was already scheduled to clean a sofa at an upholstery shop where I was having my sofa cushion stuffed with dacron and a protective layer. When I heard about the sofa work order, I arranged to have my sofa cushion cleaned also piggy-backed when they finished cleaning the sofa. The sofa cushion was still dirty after the cleaning, and Kenny (customer relations) arranged for Francisco to come to my condo where he worked on the cushion and then took the cushion back to their plant for further work. I had my carpets cleaned yesterday from the location out in Sugar Land. The technician that did my carpets was John. He was by far one of the best technicians that I have worked with. He is a perfectionist and my carpets reflected that. I had a coffee stain in my workout room for the last two years. I had my carpets cleaned by another company when I spilled the coffee and they were not able to get it out. Fast forward two years later, and John got every last bit of the stain out. I hired this company for my 93 year old uncle to keep him on a weekly clean. The ladies were very kind to my uncle and he thought highly of them. They came weekly and visitors were always amazed at how clean his home was. he passed away in Jan,2018 and I had the house remodeled It needed a good clean and I called Becky (the owner) and asked if she could fit me in before my husband left to come back north. We recently had our master bathroom tile and shower "cleaned & sealed" at a cost of over $500. My wife questioned the dark colors showing on the tile & grout and the response was it was the color of the tile and that nothing more could be done. My wife called the company and they said they would send someone back, but the first available was "in a couple of weeks". We had company coming so she proceeded get down and scrubbed the dark colored tiles & grout and WHAT? THE AREAS CLEANED UP VERY NICELY AS EX{ECTED! These people were amazing. It has been a long time since I have dealt with any company that was professional as this one. They showed up early for both the consultation and cleaning. They called ahead to confirm everything. Everyone that I had contact with both in person and on the phone were polite and helpful. I needed the indoor / outdoor carpet in our office cleaned. Scheduling an appt was very easy, and the guy was very polite and informative (I never knew there was so much to know about cleaning carpets!) Very accomodating - they work on Saturdays. They also have a technician who can come in the evening most week nights. I purchased a home and the carpets were in bad bad bad shape and had most likely never been cleaned. The technician beat me to the house (A+ for promptness) and was completely upfront and honest about what he thought. He said he could try his best but made no guarentees about some of the spots. I felt no pressure to move forward with the cleaning. He wasn't there to get a job done and get paid, he was there to be of the best service possible to the customer. Needing to move the next day, I decided to go ahead with the cleaning. I was so impressed with how well it cleaned up. It's a good quality carpet that has taken a beating from multiple children over the past 5 years, and whatever Clean as a Whistle does, works. I was so delightfully surprised with the outcome. He left little shoes covers so I could walk around and do what I needed to do in preparation to move. He was very efficient, very professional and personable. It isn't a cheap service, but I wouldn't say it's unjustly expensive. They do a terrific job and I am always happy to pay a premium for a quality service.
