Typical pub type place connected to a large hotel. Ordered the corned beef sandwich, lots of food for the price, but everything was slightly overpriced given the location. Nice outdoor seating area was a good spot looking out to the park. Inside was noisy bar. read more

On our recent visit, the service was friendly and prompt. The fish and chips were tasty. Because of the downtown hotel location, expect the prices to be a dollar or two higher than similar restaurants. read more

Very Disappointing. Didn't come in hungry-ordered a small caesar salad with salmon, daughter ordered a large pub salad-both were drenched in dressing and the salmon was dry and tasted like tuna. Service was awful. Girl seemed over whelmed and absent though she kept smiling! Go down for a drink, skip the meal read more

Staying at the Hilton, I was feeling lazy and stayed in for dinner. There aren't a lot of choices in the hotel so ended up at Kitty O'Sheas. Ordered some drinks, including a Black and Tan and a Guinness which were poured very poorly. Next up was an appetizer platter with some of the puniest and blandest wings, cold potato skins, and mediocre onion rings. Just when this was quickly approaching a 1-2 star review appeared he entrees, which were a complete mystery because they were very good and beautifully presented. The fish and chips were solid and presented in a little fryer basket. The Shepherd's Pie was even better, served in a modern square bowl and served with cabbage and soda bread. The mashed potato was piping hot, and the meat filling was savory and flavorful. The other mystery? the price. The shepherd's pie was just $13, which is $10 less than the hotel's breakfast buffet. Overall, I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but if you're staying at the Hilton, it is a relative bargain. read more

I came here to end an evening and liked their good beer selection and tasty appetizers. However, some dick manager came up to me and my girlfriend while we were outside and nobody was around to tell us to put out our cigarettes. I guess you can smoke inside the bar, but not outside on the patio? Whack. I think he was just being an ass. read more

Kitty O'Sheas has been around for ever. In fact (I'm dating myself) I went here after my senior prom in the late 80's--the first place I'd ever tried a Guiness (but definitely not the last...) Anyway, it is pretty standard hotel/bar food, but a good option for the South loop either before, after or during a concert in Grant Park. It's true, their staff are mainly from the homeland, which is a nice touch. Also good for people watching when various conventions are in town, like the conference of mayors. Don't get the chicken fingers. read more

After walking around the Chicago waterfront and checking out the awesome museums, we were famished and luckily found this restaurant inside a really fancy Hilton. The salmon dish which topped mashed potatoes was awesome. The portions were huge. Luckily, I am married to a former chef so he was able to recreate the salmon dish at home. Many commented on the prices which were high considering the area. Service was prompt and attentive. read more

Good selection of beer and the shepherds pie was okay. Seriously lacking in table seating.

Fish and chips is what we had. Average in my opinion. Our server was the best. She gave us all sorts of advice on want to do on Chicago. Nice bar to stop into if staying at hotel. read more

It is a hotel bar. Enough said. Decor is nice, prices are hotel prices, pints are not true pints. I was in there about a year ago and a roach was scurrying along the foot rail. Told the bartender I wouldn't mention it for a beer. He said no and laughed, walking away-- what does he care, he thought I was just a guy passing through. Now, I just pass by.... read more

I had the salmon dish. It came with mashed potatoes and green beans. It was super tasty. Only I wish I would have had more mashed potatoes! They were super delicious. I could have eaten a whole plate of them. They had carrots and turnips in them. YUM. My friend had the butter cabbage which she said was the most delicious cabbage she had ever eaten. Overall a nice meal. read more

We just enjoyed an incredible brunch. The bacon and brie strata was perfection and the potatoes are unparalleled. Fast, friendly service and beautiful fresh ingredients made for a wonderful start to our time in Chicago! read more

Ate here with my husband last night during our stay at the Hilton. We're usually not the people to visit an Irish pub, but we thought we'd give it a try since we did not want to embrace the Chicago cold winds. We ordered: Flight to O'hare (beer flight), the shank of lamb plate, and the macaroni and cheese with short ribs. Overall, we were impressed with the food. Chef Hugo outdid himself with the lamb, and the waiter informed us afterwards that the Mac and cheese was award winning- definitely tasted like it! The atmosphere was cool- Irish paraphernalia hanging from the walls, low lights, and sports playing on the TVs (I mean, it's a pub, would you expect anything less?) we self-seated, and i regret sitting at the high top table- it was so uncomfortable. I would recommend a booth. Well worth the price for food and drink, and would likely visit again. read more

Was really disappointed for an irish restaurant the shepherds pie was bad. Unfortunately a tornado watch forced me to stay put.

Ate here because it was close to my hotel and had open tables on a Saturday night. The beer menu was a draw for me. Good selection on draft. I had a local brewery. The fish and chips was good. Fish was tender inside a thin crust of batter. Chips were cut in a broad spiral and fried to crisp on the outside and soft inside. My side of coleslaw was creamy but with little spice and boring. Service was attentive. read more

Stopped in for lunch during the Hop ON/Hop off tour. Had very good/fresh salads and cold beers. Margaret, our bartender was great. All the stars for her! She was a pleasure to talk to and were sorry we couldn't go back to chat with her. read more

I agree with everything Jolene R says. The food was mediocre at best, the wait staff inattentive, and the atmosphere only okay. Definitely overpriced for what it is (more than $10 for a hamburger that sucks). The Irish in me is just a little appalled at their attempt to be a good Irish Pub/diner. If you sit in the very back room, announce yourself to someone on the wait staff or they'll NEVER see you. And even when they do, they won't pay much attention to you. read more

it has a guiness tap so i cant give it to bad of a review, but i got their cornbeef pizza takeout and it was a disaster. Couldnt tell where the pizza ended and the styrofoam container began. Conceptually the meal was a disaster anyway, mozzarella cheese, cornbeef, cabbage and ranch dressing on a pizza? Blech read more

By far the most rude servers I have ever experienced! I never write a bad review but I came here a second time because I understand if someone is having a bad night. Second time around I didn't even order and the servers were giving us the run around. This is supposed to be historic place and servers flown in from Ireland....definitely not worth coming in. I would rather walk 6 blocks than enjoying the continence of this place in the same hotel as I am staying in! read more

Irish food as bad as it gets. We stayed in the Hilton last month and went here 3 times to sit outside at the sidewalk cafe; each day we were charged different amounts for the same drinks. The wait staff were unattentive, boring and nullheaded. After 20 years, this place needs a complete overhaul. read more

I love me some pussy, So when I heard the Hiton had a Kitty O'Shea's I was there like curds on whey! I got me a BLT which I asked for specially and some curly fries. It was amazing but nothing like what I have had out of other cat name based restaurants so you get a 2 read more

The fish and chips and the Sheppard's pie were phenomenal! Try the Kitty's ale too. The staff from the servers to the manager were very kind and attentive. Highly recommended. A must try for any visit to Chicago! read more

Fish and chips are delicious and filling!! We had the short rib appetizer also with mac and cheese. Good good, inside the Hilton Chicago

This place EXCEEDED our expectations! We had a fabulous server Kimberly C. She gave us great recommendations of what to eat. I couldnt believe how good yhe food was. I had the pot pie (ridiculously good) also had a corned beef sandwich with their version of fries. I can't even tell you how good that was. I would HIGHLY recommend to eat here! read more

I'm not going to complain about a place attached to a hotel lobby but it is a little overpriced! It did the trick though, nothing too special on draft but at least there is Stella, Harp Lager and Gooseneck Ale. I ordered the burger on our last day awaiting our flight after check out and I thought it was actually pretty good. It was better than Orlando Florida's best burger joint in my opinion. The fries were different than I have gotten anywhere else but the other sandwiches didn't look too impressive. Hey, if you staying in the Hilton and feel lazy or just need a drink you can go here or to the bar on the other side, which is dead! This place was always pretty busy with the Triathletes staying here this weekend and the bartenders were attentive. read more

A co-worker recommended the Caesar salad and it was pretty good. It's served with a side of tasty Soda bread which I'm now officially hooked on ! I haven't dined in or tried anything else but this will get me to return for sure. read more

Not much to write about this place. We happened to be staying at the hotel and after walking around the city we stopped into Kitty's for a beer. Service was ok, nice decor we did not try the food so cannot comment on that. read more

Kitty's is A-OK. I had a chance to check out Kitty's after an event in the hotel. It reminded me of a typical casual restaurant chain. It had an Irish pub theme going. The food was average/above average, the service was good, the crowd was travelling businessmen, and the Blue Moon was flowing freely. read more

We stayed at the Hilton a couple weekends ago for a wedding and wanted to grab a quick bite to eat for lunch. They menu is not that big. We had the fish and chips and the Irish French fries. I've never had Irish French fries before but I liked them. The fish and chips were like other fish and chips I've ordered before. The service was good, the waitress was friendly and fast. But my husband ordered coffee and his exact words, "I'm not a coffee connoisseur by any means, but this is the worst coffee I've ever had in my life. It tastes like what I would imagine cigarette butts would taste like." I'm sure they get a lot of hotel business, but it's not like I would go there on a random night out. "Meh. I've experienced better" is a perfect explaination for our experience. So many other Irish pubs and restaurants in the area that are so much better. read more

We got to the Hilton and wanted something convenient before crashing. The wait staff was very friendly and was more than welcoming with our two young kids. The portions of food were huge and we pretty good. Overall it was a good place. Nothing fancy. read more

I loved this place. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Great beer choices. I had the lamb stew and Irish nachos. Both were huge portion very well priced and delicious. The lamb was absolutely perfect, tender and so savory and not gamey at all. The Irish nachos were typical of what u would expect and the were still a good eat. I will go here for sure next time I'm in the CHI. read more

Not bad...not great. It's part of the hotel and definitely feels like a hotel bar/restaurant. Small and not well laid out. Typical mediocre hotel food and is a bit over priced. read more

10 minutes, at least 10 passes by servers, and no recognition I was even there...and there was no sizable crowd. Between that and the smell of a frat-house basement, I made the decision to leave. read more

Fantastic Sheppard pie, week day last call is 1pm depending on the crowd. I was here on a tuesday night and it was a full house at midnight

Went here for a work date. Had the pretzel appetizer and chicken sammich on a pretzel bun. Not mind blowing but it filled me up. Work date had the fish and chips which looked pretty good and he seemed to be content. I hear this is a decent place to stop before a bears game. Overall, not terrible, but meh. read more

Good Irish fare decently priced. I especially dug the wings. And I'm a hardcore wing bigot. OMGGGGG!

The "Irish Pub" looks like half diner half failed attempt for a pub feel. We ordered a salad that tastes horrible besides the bacon and egg on it. 5je chicken wings were good. The service was a joke. The bartender obviously does not give a shit about his job. read more

Kitty O'sheas is located in the Chicago Hilton. Had lunch here upon arrival for a conference. Wasn't very busy so service was quick. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and it was very good. My daughter had the Mac and cheese which comes in a mini cast iron skillet and was very good. My friend had the fish and chips and said it was also very good. A little pricy but in a hotel after all. read more

Very busy pub in lower level of Chicago Hilton. I was there just before St. Patrick's Day, I had Corned beef and cabbage. It was fabulous!!!! Very loud, noisey, tough to have a conversation, great food and service! read more

The booze, the food and the entertainment is nice. If you are staying at the Hilton Chicago, it's an okay place to meet up with friends.
