We had a kintsugi workshop here and it was very well organized. Good parking in the back as well. Only bummer was the unwillingness from one of the associates to check with her direct report for a potential deal on the items we purchased.

Omg!!! This is a date night MUST!!! I came here on Friday night and trust me i WILL BE BACK! Not only is it super welcoming but I'd consider it a cheaper option than most places similar to this. The two girls that were working were so sweet and patient! They do close at 9 so make sure you book accordingly. It's a great way to connect with your partner and just enjoy a nice night out. They let you bring your own beverages and snacks, so we enjoyed it with a nice rose from target haha. Pieces start from 12$ plus the studio fee $11 which is not bad at all.

Paint away!

We had such a fun and relaxing time at Kitsch Studios! It was our first time doing something like this (surprisingly) but definitely want to do it again! Making reservations on their website was easy - no deposit required either, we just showed up and paid after we were done with our session. Place itself was located in a trendy area, big enough for multiple parties. Cool music played throughout our time there. Employees were friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of pieces to choose from too! You get to choose your own colors which was cool! And then we just went to town, painting away for a couple of hours. It was so much fun honestly. Perfect Sunday date. Prices were decent and l believe their website said they give you a three hour limit which was perfect - we took around 2 hours. Oh and you can take food/drink in with you. 10/10 recommend! Can't wait to pick up our pieces in a couple of days!

I came here for my sis-in-law's birthday, and we had so much fun painting! She reserved 3 hours for a group of around 10 of us, and we were allowed to bring our own food and alcoholic beverages. There is a wide assortment of ceramics to choose from; I was quite overwhelmed, being the indecisive person I am, but I eventually settled on a small berry basket. The staff was very helpful and made the whole process smooth. There was a fun variety of paint colors, some with multi-colored speckles to add texture and give your ceramic some pizzazz. You write down the colors you want and the staff gives you a palette. They were very attentive and great at refilling any paint that was low! After you finish, they give about a week turnaround time for the kiln. I loved my finished product!! We had such a fun time painting and sipping, and I would highly recommend coming here for any occasion - birthday, date night, girls night, any time really!

My friend and I wanted to do pottery painting and found this place online. You can reserve ahead of time or do a walk in like we did. The studio fee is $11.11 and the price of the item depends on what you choose. We were there for the entire afternoon and had so much fun painting. They encourage you to bring your own food and drinks (alcoholic if 21+). The workers are all so friendly and provided us a great experience. It takes about 3-7 days for your items to be processed and they give you a call/text once it's ready. You can also start a punch card to get a free studio fee on your 8th visit! I believe parking is paid in the lot, but we did free street parking that was in front of the store. ig: @cravingswithcat

I was introduced to Kitsch Studios by a friend and it's a hidden gem. Service/Ambiance: The workers here are extremely accommodating and friendly. I only have good things to say about my experiences here. Kitsch studios sells plants in the front of the store but the middle half to back is the where the pottery painting is located. All of the pieces are organized and the space is always clean. You can make a reservation online or walk in. Pottery Painting Review: I love painting pottery here! It's superior to color me mine because it's more affordable, you get access to unlimited paints and paint time, and you can bring in your own food or drinks. Wine included! I recently held a birthday here and everything went smoothly. We drank, painted, and laughed - best birthday ever. And, the studio plays great music. I would highly recommend coming to Kitsch Studios.

Such a pleasant experience all around! For starters, I called the studio prior to entering to inquire about several aspects and all of my questions were answered thoroughly and met with kindness. Secondly, this experience was not only for myself but also for a client of mine who is on the spectrum, they are absolutely spectrum friendly which is a plus! Emily and Kai were genuinely sweet and humble, providing all of the information needed to begin our artwork and checked on us several times to make sure we were doing well. In terms of the studio itself, there was a wide selection of pottery and colors to choose from which was absolutely amazing. The pieces themselves differ in price, the studio fee is $11 (this fee is separate from the piece of your choosing), In the studio fee it includes all the paints, paint brushes and stencils to be able to complete your art as well as pencils, sketch paper and a wooden tool. In addition they have a stunning selection of paint, some of which includes small pieces of glass which later explode in the kiln and creates a unique piece. The ambiance was beautiful. There were several plants by the main entrance and a sweet playlist was played as we tested our artistic abilities. There's even a shop within the studio that sells small items which was an awesome touch. The studio called me just a few days later to confirm the pieces had been completed! To top it all off they even have punch cards to be able to receive a free studio fee after 7 visits. Overall this place was killer and I'll definitely be coming back! Ps- can't wait to try the owners Italian restraunt they advertised!

100/10 experience!!! Amazing service, extremely friendly and helpful. They guide you through the steps and they have SOOOO many options to choose from it makes it so hard to decide because everything is so cute!!! My sister and I went for our second time and we love coming here. The inside is super nice as well, it's just an overall amazing place.

An evening at Kitsch Studios was the perfect way to catch up with my girl friends! There were many options of ceramics to choose from and affordable price points! Many different paint options to choose from including a couple special paints you can pay an additional fee for. The staff is very attentive, relaxed and kind which is perfect for a night of winding down to paint. I'd recommend going here if you want to try something new with your friend group.

This is such a cute place! This studio is located in downtown Fullerton. Since this is downtown, parking is definitely packed, especially on the weekends but not impossible like how it is in downtown LA. There's entrance from the back, facing the parking lot as well as in the front, facing the street. Inside is very cozy and quaint. In the front, there are a lot of interesting knick knacks like plants, unique pottery, and a piano. The back has seating for everyone to paint their pottery. I believe this studio has other activities as well, but my friends and I came here to paint pottery. It was comfortable to seat a party of 4, even though there was a little kid's birthday party happening simultaneously. I would recommend scheduling a reservation but walk-ins are welcome too depending on capacity. The staff were super friendly and helpful with their explanations. There is a wall in the back that show what the colors will look like depending on how many layers you add. I've only been to one other pottery painting place before, but I think this place is quite nice. I never knew you could scrape off the paint once it dried in case you mess up. I was able to get quite clean lines in my checkered pattern because of this! Generally you're given 2 hours to finish your artwork, but the staff were kind enough to give us an extra hour since we were definitely not prepared coming in and took additional time planning out what we wanted to do. 10/10 would come here again!

The vibes and atmosphere in here are very nice and calm! We went during the week and had a reservation but we really didn't need one because they accepted walk ins as well. The staff were so sweet and friendly! We took our time picking out our pottery and they helped us with our colors and the pricing was fairly decent! Our pottery was fine glazing the same week and gave us a 60 day period to pick it up! Parking is a little hard to find so expect to walk!

This is the one I did. I had no idea what I was doing but it came out pretty neat.

I stumbled upon this place by accident with my roommate and daughter when we were checking out the new boba place around the corner. The ambiance is great. I'm not a plant person, my roommate is even they're a plant killer too (lol). But we found out that they have this paint your pottery thing. You can do a walkin basis or you can schedule in advance. They also offer free otter pops in the mini fridge for anyone who wants one (usually kids). Me and my daughter came back for a playdate and basically how it goes is that what you pay for is based on the piece you get. They're priced differently. And then you also pay for the service (idr the cost, check site). Then you choose your color palettes from the menu of paints that have (they have a lot and some premium ones for extra $). The staff are super friendly and informative. They didn't bother us and left us to our own devices but I kinda wished they did bother us cus I needed more paint sometimes and had to wait til they returned. But you can also walk up there and ask but they were quite busy. The kids were done with their pieces pretty quick. Each had two pieces and then they were over the concept and got super bored. But honestly the adults loved it, took their time, and super therapeutic and relaxing. For three pieces and the service, I think I spent close to $100? We went on a Sunday around 1 pm and I scheduled like 2 days in advance? But I also saw that they weren't busy when we sat down just toward the end they picked up. OH! You're also allotted 3 hours, but we spent a little bit over 3 hours and they did rush to kick us out or anything. I have nothing but great things to say about this cute and quaint spot. It's also neatly wedged in between the new boba shop and the new korean mini mart. And they allow you to bring your own drinks/food (I think?) but just be mindful. We didn't bring anything but I think I remember seeing that being ok. You can enter from the front or back of the store. The back from the parking lot is where the cash register is and where you pay when you're done and come pick up the ceramics like 12 days later. The front from commonwealth and harbor, you're walking into the plant pottery area and the painting area is in the back. Sadly, I don't have any pics to show for it (just one). I think my phone deleted them. I also had a neat video of what it looked like, but go check it out yourself!

Ask the Community - Kitsch

Are wine glasses provided if we bring our own bottle?

They are not but people have brought their own disposable wine glasses in the past. We do have small cups on hand for customers that order from our drink cooler!

What's the cheapest piece to paint? I'm trying to look for cheap brithday option!

We have some offerings starting at $12. We’d love to have you over for that celebration!

I know alc is allowed on the premises we have to be at least 21 to drink it inside the premises?

Yes. Underaged drinking is not allowed in the shop.

Are you able to fire ceramics that were done at home? If so, how much would it cost?

At this time we’re no longer offering this service. However, if it’s for a cone 06 firing give us a call or swing by and we may be able to work something out. Hope this helps!

An overdue review based on the pottery wheel class and glazing option experience. For reservations,…read moreI made it for two people through their website. This was for a public class on a Saturday at around 4:30 PM. The class consisted of 8 people max and seemed to be all couples. All of the equipment was prepared like an apron, clay, pottery wheel, etc. We had an instructor that was very knowledgeable and explained everything from start to finish. Complex technicals were explained in layman's terms. We were given enough clay to create 3 pieces but could keep up to two. The instructor also frequently went around to check everyone's pieces and was able to troubleshoot as needed. It was a fun experience but be very prepared to get your hands dirty! The glazing portion was separate from the class. There was no reservation needed for that so I did it the same day that I went to see the ceramics. For parking, street parking could be hit or miss depending on the time. I'd recommend coming early to have ample time to find parking. Overall, I enjoyed the experience enough. It could have been perfect if the staff here remembered to follow up on when the ceramics were ready for pickup. I am happy with the end result though.

They couldn't find it under either. Jennifer, the owner messaged me on the side and offered studio credit for when we come back to glaze. I appreciate that offer since my bf and I had to and have to coordinate this date to come to the studio. I live around half an hour away and he lives over an hour away, which made it that much more disappointing when we drove all the ways last time only to be told it was lost. I messaged and asked to see if it was possible to have our pottery ready this time for when we came to glaze to prevent further mishap. They were kind and had our pottery ready for when we head back. I was happy with how our pottery turned out. It was with the red clay so it looked tan. Ashley helped us with the glazing. She gave us tips and instructions. They have a ton of different colors. They have a color section that's easier to work well and good with designs. There's also another set of colors that have some details and undertones. I picked four colors and hoped for the best. It's interesting because the more special glaze are all shades of gray, even when you paint it on. It's really is trusting the process. They put our pottery on the rack and told us it would be ready for pick up in 2-3 weeks. I'm hoping the pick up this time goes better! This glazing experience went well and I appreciate, Jennifer, the owner, reaching out personally and offering the studio credit.

The Brea location has more seating than other locations I've been to, which makes it a bit more forgiving if you try to do a walk-in. Reservations are made online and cost $5/person, which goes towards your total. From a large palette, you choose five colors. Sometimes if a friend and I want to use the same color, we'll just put it on one person's plate, which ends up giving us more color options overall! There's also a guide on each table with tips for different ceramic painting techniques. There's a cup of various styles and sizes of paintbrushes, and you can also request for a thin bottle for writing or detail-work. You get two hours to paint, but I've never felt rushed with either picking my piece or during the actual painting process. The staff here are always so attentive, courteous, and helpful, which makes the whole experience even better. I've noticed that when it gets super busy and you need a paint refill and someone hasn't come by, don't be afraid to raise your hand or walk over to someone, everyone is super friendly. They have a great selection of pottery, and you just pay the price of your piece plus the flat studio fee. The space is clean, and I love that they also offer outdoor seating. Since it's right in the middle of downtown Brea, it's fun to people watch and enjoy the vibe outside on a warm day. They'll occasionally have special events or deals too, like student nights with a discounted studio fee. We did buy more paint than what was included in the take home kit because we wanted more colors, but if you plan your colors meticulously then the original amount you're given is more than enough to paint 1 ceramic each. The glazing is covered once you pay for the kit and ceramics and if you have leftover paint and want to go back to buy more ceramics, you don't need to pay extra for any of the glazing. I much prefer this than going in-store if you are doing a group activity. You can take your time painting and it's always nice to be able to do what you want in the comfort of your home.
