He showed us the different types and styles of cabinets and how they would fit and look in our kitchen. He did a great job of explaining the benefits and limitations of the different styles and how that would affect what options we'd be able to have. Once we decided on what we wanted, the cabinets were ordered and a delivery and installation date were set.  The head installer, Eddie, came with his installation crew. They really knew what they were doing and had no problem working through any of the problems you inevitably encounter when doing this kind of work. I was really impressed with how careful they were with the new cabinets. They really treated everything with care. I've seen other people spend a lot of money only to end up with scuffed up cabinets because the installers weren't careful. Once complete, they left the kitchen clean. They thoroughly vacuumed the area, not leaving a mess behind. From start to finish, everyone we dealt with was pleasant and professional. They met the expectations that they set. They were able to confidently deal with any speed bumps that arose, and they left us with a great finished product. I can't recommend them highly enough!

In good faith, my relative issued him a check for that full amount upfront. At first, they were not looking for a refund. They simply expected Mr. Pica to return and complete the work as agreed. However, after receiving payment, he never came back. Despite waiting a significant amount of time and making multiple calls, no work was started. When finally pressed for answers, Mr. Pica claimed he had purchased materials, but instead of taking responsibility, he behaved as though the delay and lack of work were somehow the customer's problem. When asked for a resolution, he stated he would only return $5,000, keeping $2,000 for his "time," and refused to do anything further. Since then, there has been no response, no phone call, no correspondence, and no refund of any sort. Mr. Pica took the money and disappeared. Shame on him for taking advantage of elderly customers who entered into this agreement in good faith. It is despicable and deplorable that a supposed legitimate businessman would conduct himself in this manner. I strongly advise the public to avoid doing business with Artistic Kitchens and Baths or John Pica. This has been a horrible, dishonest, and predatory experience.

This was a complete gutting, all sheetrock removed, soffits removed with plumbing relocated, doorway into dining room widened by 4', doorway into foyer widened by almost 1', new upper & lower cabinets & floor, all new electrical. Aside from some dings caused by the cabinet mftr's packing skills, the job went flawlessly. To his credit, after my distress about this he got somebody else in the area to look at it who found the problem of a broken pipe pretty quickly. Still, it can be very hard to get an appointment for an end-of-the-year shut down and they don't give you a window of time in which you have to be home until the previous day which is hard for a working mom with kids. I'm trying out another service. In addition when I asked them about a service called both for irrigation and lighting, they were going to charge me a different and very high service call fee for the lighting, even though I wanted both at once.
