The work itself was decent, but the process was horrible. The job should have been a 2 week job, ended up taking almost 3 months. The delays led into other problems for us. Job began on October 10th, and final installations were performed on December 26th, but the job was not finalized until December 31st. They blamed the tardiness on myself, and everything else except themselves... While it is understandable that town inspections can slow things down, proper planning and coordination keep things moving. These are things that Cambridge just does not have. This kitchen was installed at probably what is a peak time frame, but still should have been completed much, MUCH earlier! The kitchen was small, only about 80 sq feet in total. Cambridge is not good in customer relations, or trying to cater to any customer concerns. I felt as if there concern was more around their crew and their other work, rather than getting my job completed once it began. They are not good at responding back to emails or phone calls when they don't have an answer for you, and didn't seem to care on keeping me up to date on what was happening.
As mentioned, the end job itself was clean and OK. The kitchen does look nice. Not perfect, as the counter top was visibly not cut straight in two areas, and the original dishwasher installation was very loose. Eventually, the dishwasher was tightened up appropriately, but I had to contact Whirlpool to verify everything. The communication back and forth again was very poor, with very delayed response, except of course when it came time to ask for payment -- then they were very prompt in reaching out to me. I would not recommend them. I think most of the workers were pretty good, but the main contact that you have to deal with has a bit of an attitude. Not what I am used to for a service company. read more
