Very unpleasant, a bit condescending and really didn't help the guy trying to help me. I am extremely disappointed with the level of service we received from Kohler during and after the…read morecomplete renovation of our four bathrooms. This was a very significant purchase, and one of the reasons we chose Kohler and were willing to pay a premium was the expectation that we would receive knowledgeable advice and strong customer support throughout the project. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience. There were multiple mistakes in our order that I would have expected an experienced Kohler sales representative to identify. For our master bathroom, we initially wanted to purchase a Maxtow vanity. We had already selected a wall-mounted faucet, yet the vanity configuration included faucet holes that we did not need. This incompatibility was not identified by our sales representative. We then purchased a single-sink Maxtow vanity together with a three-hole faucet, even though the vanity was configured for a single-hole faucet. Again, this was not caught during the ordering process. For our two children's bathrooms, we purchased exactly the same bathtub and shower setup for both rooms, yet the Kohler order included different valves for each bathroom. I ultimately had to identify and resolve the discrepancy myself because the sales representative did not recognize that something was wrong. These mistakes were frustrating, but the most disappointing experience has been the lack of support now that we have a problem with one of the shower diverter valves, which appears to be malfunctioning. I contacted the Kohler sales representative from whom I purchased everything for this major four-bathroom renovation, expecting that she would help coordinate a resolution. Instead, I was told that the plumbing products had been sold through another company and that she could no longer assist me. I am now being asked to deal directly with a plumbing company that has no history or understanding of our renovation project, and obtaining a replacement for the malfunctioning part has been unnecessarily difficult. Despite multiple efforts, I still have not been able to get the level of ongoing support needed to resolve the issue. This is extremely disappointing. I chose Kohler because I believed it was a premium, reputable brand and that paying Kohler prices would come with knowledgeable advice, quality products, and strong customer service. Instead, I have had to identify ordering errors myself and, when a product problem arose, I was essentially handed off to a third party with no ownership of my overall project. For a customer who made a substantial investment in Kohler products across four complete bathrooms, I would expect Kohler to stand behind the products, take ownership of problems, and provide a seamless point of contact until an issue is resolved. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I do not feel that the premium price we paid was matched by a premium level of service. That is particularly disappointing because I had chosen Kohler specifically because I believed I could trust the brand and the support that came with it.
