Ok bottom line - call them. Period end of discussion. Even if you are in NYC like we are! Roger and his team are the only people I will recommend without reservation from our renovation. There work was careful, extraordinary, fast and beyond reasonably priced. They not only made us a great counter and backsplash they installed it with ease. The difficulty of our space is there isn't a flat or straight wall in our 1929 apartment. These guys cut a piece of stone perfectly for us. From initial conversation to measurements to two installs within one week (first counter then the backsplash) these guys were easy to deal with. Roger is great, his office staff quick to respond and clearly one of the best decisions of this whole process to use him! Good? Call him - NOW! read more

This place is good for pieces of stone like for a bench but I wouldn't recommend for bigger jobs. Cuts were uneven and large gaps between stone and wall/cabinets. read more

We had a deeply disappointing experience with Artistic Stone and, based on that experience, cannot recommend them. We hired Artistic Stone to replace our kitchen countertops and fireplace hearth with quartz and chose to extend the quartz up the kitchen walls for a seamless backsplash. To prepare, we removed our existing white subway tile. Although our installation was already delayed due to an "installer emergency," the situation worsened on installation day. Three of the four pieces arrived cut incorrectly, leaving large, noticeable gaps around the fireplace and along the kitchen walls. The installers attempted to persuade us to accept the pieces as they were, which was unacceptable given the cost of the project. After they contacted their team, they attributed the mistakes to their templating software and accepted no responsibility. That same day--for the very first time--we were informed that our cabinet trim would have to be removed for the quartz backsplash to be installed, as they were unwilling to cut around it. This had not been mentioned at any point during six weeks of communication or even during the in‑home templating appointment just a week and a half earlier. Because removing the trim risked damaging our cabinets (which were glued and screwed together), we had no choice but to abandon the quartz backsplash plan entirely and reinstall subway tile--bringing us back to our original setup at roughly twice the cost, which we had to arrange ourselves. When we attempted to speak to the owner about these issues, we were told he was "off the grid." When he eventually called from a blocked number, he did not provide his name. When we requested compensation for the incorrect cuts, delays, and added expenses, we were told they were already "eating the cost" of recutting the pieces--even though the mistakes were theirs alone. After several days of back‑and‑forth, the only concession offered was a minimal discount of a few hundred dollars, despite our paying nearly $13,000. We were initially told the process from templating to installation would take 4-6 business days. Instead, it extended beyond two weeks, and we were forced to move into our new home with no backsplash, no sink, and no functioning cooktop. In our opinion, Artistic Stone was disorganized, unprofessional, and unwilling to take responsibility for their errors. Communication was poor, the mistakes were substantial, and the resolution offered was inadequate. We do not take leaving a negative review lightly, but given the significant investment of time, money, and stress involved, we feel it is necessary to share our experience. read more

I came here because they seemed to have great reviews and were local...I received good customer service from Eliot who sold me a remnant...my issue is after the installation once I was able to start moving things back to my kitchen I noticed a thumb sized rough spot/dent on my countertop, upon looking it up I noticed it is called a variation... and the fabricator should fix it... this is where they failed to take accountability and right away started telling me that they would have to remove the whole countertop and charge for it... I haven't even used my kitchen yet... he says 3 people failed to see that imperfection and denied it was there, video they took of the installation was too far to notice it on there...and the owner of the company suggested I use barkeepers friend to clean the spot. The spot doesn't need cleaning, it's already rough, it needs to be polished correctly so it can blend in correctly. It wouldn't have taken much effort to do this for a paying customer who already started to refer them to other contractors. Very disappointing to see that companies don't care about their clients... once they get your money. Was going to buy more for my bathroom and kitchen island, I guess I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

Fantastic selection, service and install! Prices were competitive and crew was professional.

The whole team did an amazing job. From picking out the countertop to installing the countertop the process was smooth. The original piece I picked broke, but they gave me another piece that was great. No problems or delays. read more

We removed a stove top grill and had a giant hole in our countertop. We came to artistic and they were able to cut a piece of matble to fill in the hole. Their communication and their prices were great. I would recommend them highly. read more

I am an extremely happy customer with everyone at Artistic Stone. The removal of the granite from the top of the kitchen island was removed efficiently and professional. Kay was professional and efficient in coordinating the service and it was cut, edges beveled and completed as promised before Christmas. Thanks again to all that were a part of the the excellent service that I received and the fair price that I was charged. I will be referring your company to anyone that can utilize the service that you can provide. I recommend that anyone needs the service that is provided by Artistic Stone to not think twice, contact them and you will be a happy customer like me. read more

Daniela went above and beyond for us! We wanted marble, which is tricky, and every person who helped us along the way to decide orientation, veining alignment, and all the way to installation went above and beyond! Can't recommend highly enough! read more

There's a reason they have such consistently good reviews. It's all about quality service, extremely fair pricing, and a great looking finished product. I went back and forth with Kay for literally months, she gave me prices on countless different stones. At one point my contractor recommended I check out the "cabinet/counter district" in Flushing Queens for the best prices. I did, and while they did have some cheap stuff, for what I wanted, they weren't any cheaper. And they definitely didn't provide a warm and fuzzy feeling of a business that actually cared about service and having a happy customer. So after falling off the radar for over a month I reached back out to Kay for more prices and at no point was there any pressure from them and she was extremely patient the whole time. Long story short, I finally decided on Fantasy quartz, as you can see in the pics and couldn't be happier. Once I finally decided they were installed in about a week. The guys who did the template, and the guys who installed the counters, were all friendly, respectful and professional. Artistic Stone is highly recommended if you want fair prices and want to feel confident in your countertop purchase. read more

No good. They didn't finish cutting and polishing the entire stone I sent in after cancelling my delivery on the same day. I had I stallers on the clock waiting only to be cancelled. read more

Artistic Stone came from New Jersey to New York City (Manhattan) to install a new countertop in my tiny, neglected kitchen--I had just moved in, and the previous owner had not upgraded for 20 or 30 years. The workers came twice (or three times, I forget)--once to measure, once (or twice) to remove the old countertop and sink and replace them. They worked skillfully, everything fit beautifully, and they cleaned up perfectly. The owner, Rogerio Fernandes, had to jump through a lot of hoops with the management service of the coop board, but he stuck with it. And the price was reasonable. read more

I called several companies in the area to get an estimate on the shaving of 1/4-inch from a marble counter. Artistic Stone got back to me early on and was able to get the job done very professionally. The team that came was really careful to do the job outside and not create a mess in the kitchen, which I was grateful for. read more

Be careful they can only do counter top installation. They cant do a full remodel. Although they claim to know of contractors who can do the full renovation they wont recommend anyone. read more

So this was a last minute job since I was working with another granite company until they stopped calling me back. I am actually happy that this happened. Because i got to work with Artistic Stones. Due to the urgency, Roger and Daniela were able to schedule template and installation within the time frame. My kitchen was small so Daniela was able to show me scrap so I don't have to pay for a full slap. She tried to show me as many as she could so i could have various options. She even double checked with Roger to make sure if the piece was doable. This is how i found my dream color with a reasonable price. The guy who came to template called 30 minutes prior to arrival. And he was on time which is rare in these days and i appreciate it. Guys who came to install arrived within the time range and was able to provide constructive advise/solutions regarding what's best for my kitchen instead of letting me do whatever i want. My kitchen is so pretty now. I would recommend them or use them again in the future. read more

Roger was communicative, understanding of budgets, and flexible from the start. Also, their timeline EXCEEDED expectations by far - templated one day, installation just a few days later when everyone was quoting me 2 weeks+. Will be working with them again for sure read more

1st class all the way. I found Artistic Stone on yelp. Kay was helpful, professional and accommodated my ongoing needs to get things done quickly for my Manhattan apt countertops. Daniela was precise & very patient while my architect and I examined and kept adjusting positions for templating. Jose & crew were on-time, professional and efficient during installation. Reasonable price and I liked the fact that they fabricate AND install. However, they would not install my doorway saddle threshold which I thought odd. They would also not cut into the piece for the doorstops which my contractor will need to complete. Overall, would still use them again! read more

Great communication, follow up and great work; very skilled. Detailed but quick. Fair price. I would definitely use them again.

I used Artistic Stone when replacing my mdf countertop with a quartz counter. I found them excellent in all regards - they are straight with estimates, accessible, responsive, and fast - our backsplash was installed only two days after the counter was. Great communication, professional and straightforward, competitive pricing. Would recommend! read more

I couldn't find quite the right table, so I had the bright idea to see if I might enlist someone to create a marble tabletop to go with a table base that I found. Rogerio was quick to respond to my inquiry via yelp and within a few exchanges I had confirmed a great price for a marble tabletop. Days later it was ready, delivered to my apartment in Manhattan and attached to my table base. I couldn't be happier! Artistic Stone and Rogerio provided excellent, quick service of a high quality product - couldn't ask for more! Highly recommend! read more

This was by far the easiest part of the entire kitchen project. I knew what type of counter I wanted so i called artistic stone, received an estimate within the hour. I only had to give them 24 hrs notice for template , and installation occurred 4 days later. The installation was seamless and quick. The prices are beyond reasonable. I was working with another company that lost my measurements twice and thus I took my business elsewhere. I was so happy this happened. I can't recommend enough. read more

Mistakes were made and owner refused to acknowledge or take responsibility. I paid the price, literally. For example, forgetting to include countertop in the proposal. One that I went to a warehouse to choose with him. Unpleasant when things go wrong. Never again, unless you like being blamed for an "expert's" mistakes. read more

I recently purchased a stove and realized after removing the old one there was a granite lip that wouldn't allow the new stove to fit, Artistic Stone came out the same day and did an amazing job shaving it down so that it was flush and we were able to get the stove to fit!
