Brisket half a pound with a side of yams

First off, let me just say... Kitchen Crafts Barbecue is a whole vibe! The ambience, the music, the energy... immediately yes, everything was on point. I don't know if anybody else felt this way but I felt like I wasn't even in California anymore. It felt like I was in Texas, and I absolutely loved that for me! Everybody was so nice, welcoming, and helpful. I usually go to the food truck, which I already love, but this time I decided to pull up to the restaurant, and I'm glad I did! I ordered two half pound orders of brisket, plus the cornbread, FIRE! The yams, and greens, and my family loved it as well. Everything was good. I love barbecue and it was very tender! What y'all say tendernism!!! Very much that! I Kitchen Corner gets a 10 out of 10 from me. Being able to sit down, enjoy the music, the food, and the whole vibe just took the experience to another level. I'm so happy to see a Black owned business moving with this much excellence, professionalism, and flavorrrrr!!! They're really doing big things, and I wish them nothing but continued success, blessings, and growth. I'll definitely be back soon!

Had this BBQ spot on my list forever and after seeing it all over social media, I had to try it. Not gonna lie, I feel like I could taste it through my phone . The hype is REAL! BBQ was on point--super flavorful and cooked just right. But the real surprise? The fried chicken (yeah, at a BBQ spot) and it was FIRE!!!! Definitely lived up to expectations. I'll be back for sure.

This place is the best BBQ spot in the surrounding areas. I've been coming to this place ever since they first started back in the day. Now they have a location where you can sit, drink, watch television, and have a good time with friends. The service is always great, and if they make a mistake, they will correct it immediately. If you are going with a group of people, I recommend getting the "Kitchen Sink"; you will not be disappointed.

Spent the morning washing and detailing my car. When I was finished, I was hungry and BBQ came to mind. Don't know why and don't know how that came to mind. A quick yelp search pointed me to a new and hot place. Jump in my car and headed over! I came in before a 12p rush that was lining up. Ordering was easy, waited about 10 minutes with a few people in front of me. Once I ordered it was a breeze, I ended up trying their burger and wings. I'll try the other items tomorrow Grabbed a cold Pacifico and sat down. The place is clean and the tables were spotless. Sat down for what I thought would be at least 30 minutes from previous reviews. But that was not the case, they were cracking orders out quick. I got my food about 10-15 minutes after I sat down. And wow. That burger was delicious! Will absolutely come back!

I been coming to this place since they had their BBQ truck on E. Rose St in compton for a long time. Now a storefront we can sit and eat and the place is great with inside, outside chairs. Get all the BBQ sauces you want from OG, spicy and carolina style. The plate i go to is the #1 with brisket, ribs and choice of chicken, beef or house made sausages. All are delicious no matter what option you choose. They have a big parking lot in the back so no issues parking far away. Its good BBQ in the city of paramount! They also have good fried chicken. I been back already 3 times. Everything is good here and they give you plenty of good on the trays compared to other places i been. Food rating: Oxtail platter 8.9\10 Kitchen classic platter 8.8\10

Excellent experience! Went with some coworkers around 3pm and got there before the rush. It was 4 of us and we got the #2 Family Tray. They hooked us up with more smoked sausages. We had the Mac and cheese, fries, the corn bread, and the candy tabs. All the sides were delicious, but my fav would be a tie between the Mac and cheese and sweet potato corn bread. All the meats were excellent - juicy brisket, fall right off the bone ribs, and the sausages were cooked to perfection. Love that they have more than one bbq sauce to choose from. The young woman cashier was very friendly and welcoming as was our server. There was good music and then at the end they switched to the Laker Game. Plenty of space for big families. Love that you can peep at the smoker in the back which fills the parking lot with all the good smells. Will definitely come back again!

This place slaps! Good bbq and a good deal! Would definitely be back. Their 3 meat combo with a side is a good price and the portions are a good size. My leftovers lasted me 2 more meals. The Mac n cheese is the best I've had in a while. The pork ribs are tender juicy and seasoned well. The house made sausage was really good and I loved the fries and baked beans. That Cali gold sauce took the brisket to the next level. Will definitely be back

Man. I REALLY had high hopes for this food. I've been seeing the truck on IG for a while now, and any time 1 of the IF food influencers went, they raved about it. The food looked amazing. So when I finally happened to be in Paramount, and I knew the Brick & Mortar opened, I figured it was time to try it. Let me start with the good 1st. The restaurant was very clean, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. They have a BBQ sauce with 3 different sauces, and you can get all the sauce you want. The sauces are all excellent. The brisket was cooked perfectly. You could shake it apart, it had a good bark, and it was smoked just right. Now, to the not so good. The mac n cheese was salty, and it seemed like elevated Kraft Mac N Cheese. The Baked Beans were decent, but kind of had more of a chili taste. The ribs were good, but also very salty. You almost needed the sauce to balance them out. I did not like the sausage at all. It was dry, and it had a weird chew to it. And lastly, the meat was just warm. I got it to go, but I ate in the parking lot, so it should've still been hot. The sides were hot, but the meat was not. It wasnt horrible, but it wasn't amazing either. I'm not sure if I would try it again

I came across an IG post about this new spot. The owners have a food truck that has always had long lines so when a friend sais he recently tried it, I thought I would give it a try. I'm not much of a bbq eater, so I was there for the sides and was bringing the BBQ home to the family. The place looked great! Folks were seated at tables enjoying their meals and staff were all up beat and friendly. I ordered one platter and a few sides so we could sample a bit of everything. Although the price was much more than I planned on paying, close to $100, I didn't mind. I thought maybe there would be a lot of food which meant there would be no need to cook dinner for a day or two! My expectations may have been a bit too high. Although the brisket fell apart, it just wasn't right. There appeared to be way too much rub! I had no clue you had to grab your own sauce, no one mentioned that to me so we had no sauce on the meat or sausage. The potato salad tasted more like egg yolk salad with heavy mustard. It was thick! The greens were OK. We don't care for stems in our greens. I am a cheese lover...but that mac and cheese was dry, thick and flavorless The coleslaw was just watery. The sausage was dry. I liked the spiciness, but I couldn't get it down. However, the sweet potato cornbread is to die for! I don't care for sweet potatoes or cornbread, but the combo of the two and the spices were amazing! It almost taste like gingerbread! It's delicious. The good thing is, the friend that told me to try the place gladly accepted it all. We only had a spoonful of the sides, half a sausage, a small bite of brisket and one rib, so he basically has dinner and lunch for today. I'm sure there will be those that love it, we're just not those people. My friend told me I should try the fried chicken. But I doubt very seriously that I will venture that way again. To add, when ordering, it would be helpful to let the customer know that the sauce is self serve.

Delicious! The absolute best potato salad I have ever had. Everyone was friendly and a sauce bar. You can't go wrong.

Pork ribs and beef Dino bone amazing

Absolutely fantastic!! The pork ribs were perfect Brisket and the Dino bone amazing!! The sauces are full of flavor!! If you're looking for BBQ, this is the place. We had Mac n cheese, baked beans, and brisket chili for sides. Best we've ever had Service was good. Be prepared to wait in line, but it's worth it!!

    Menu. Food was excellent.

My wife and I were going to another restaurant and saw this place as we drove by. Circled back and decided to walk in. They were all friendly from the get go! I was wearing a dodger hoodie and the worker said we got the game on for you. Order the mix plate and it was so much food. The spare rib brought me back to my childhood. The brisket had a nice peppery bark. The brisket beans were delicious. My wife and I shared and still had leftovers. Can't wait to try the pudding tomorrow with my left overs. The female worker(which i should have gotten her name) was so helpful. When we were walking out, the owners talked to us and they were really nice as well. Can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu.

This review is for the Paramount location. I got a few items: Dino rib, pork ribs, brisket, sausage, mac and cheese and corn bread. I'll start with the positives. The mac and cheese and corn bread were decent. Also they took 15 minutes to give me all the varied food I ordered which should have been my red flag to run, but I decided to live dangerously and was punished severely for it. Now on to the travesty, the meat. The theme for today was dry, old and shameless. The pork was somehow undercooked and dry. Which if you can endure the cruelty, is actually kind of impressive. The brisket resembled beef jerky. I'm including pictures of the brisket since those speak much more eloquently than I can. I love to cook and I infamously over season my dishes. But all these meats were at a whole another level. Not salty but aggressively peppery and just ham handed. The rub was flavorful but it blew out my palette instantly. Please take this to heart: less is more. In terms of meat quality? Cheap. My Dad is a butcher, I can tell. Everything being reheated did the meat quality no favors either. The seasoning was further exacerbated because the ribs, both dino and pork, were almost entirely bone. So you have a ton of seasoning on a lick of meat. It was a recipe for disaster. And price? Expensive, especially for what I received. Insulting for what I received. I'll end it here. I don't want to waste your time like this place wasted mine.

I've been here a few times before, mainly for the sides, but after this experience I honestly don't know if I'll return. I ordered a lunch chicken plate and was never told it would take over 40 minutes. Had I known, I either wouldn't have ordered or would have asked for a refund much sooner. Meanwhile, customer after customer who ordered after me received their food before I did. When I finally got my order, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the delay. I asked if there was anything they could do for the inconvenience, and the only thing offered was a free slushy. I don't even drink soda. A side dish or something more thoughtful would have made more sense. To make matters worse, when I got home, the chicken portion was very small and the two sides were tiny about the size of dressing cups. It's disappointing because I actually do like their flavors, but good food only goes so far when the customer service experience is this poor.
