Salmon Burger- Ponzu aioli, muhammara, pickled onions, lettuce, tomato, brioche bun, fries. $15.99 for kitchen lunch. Decent though messy
Glenn C.

Side note: Either my two old reviews are for a completely different place or they've shifted entirely from Eastern European food to healthy Mediterranean in the past 10 years. The fact I wrote two of them makes me think it's the latter which would be interesting. Anyway I was here a little while back for lunch. The people waiting here are friendly and the atmosphere is nice and quaint reminding me a little bit of the more recently opened Nabilla's across the street. The price point for lunch is nice ranging from around $12 to around $16 with the soup addition only being $3 though it turned out to be a mistake to order. Said soup was a Manhattan Clam Chowder. In terms of price point, it couldn't be beat as the portion size was good but the flavor made it not worth it. The tomato based broth was bland and the clams unfortunately were not cleaned properly as there was a lot of grit or something similar so perhaps avoid this if this is a special even for that price point. My main dish was the Salmon Burger with ponzu aioli, muhammara, pickled onions, lettuce, tomato, brioche bun, and fries as part of the kitchen lunch section. The salmon was pretty tasty and it was a good sized piece. However, the entirety of the burger was a tad messy as the aioli combined with the muhammara as well as the moist salmon made it so that it became a fork and knife burger very quickly. There was also a tad too much of the latter and this is coming from someone who loves that red pepper walnut dip. The fries were nice and crispy. It was decent. The burger was good enough and the soup was pretty dreadful. If the price point was higher matching some of the other brunch and lunch places in the area, I would probably round this spot down to a 2 but for the deal and as the burger was still decent enough, I bump it up to a 3.

Mushroom and potato pierogies were absolutely divine!!!

What a gem of a place!!! We came for an early dinner, around 5. The atmosphere is very nice, the lighting was perfect. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. We couldn't decide because everything on the menu looked really good. He made some very good suggestions and we were off. For starters, we had birch with meat and mushroom & potato pierogies, both were so yummy!!! Then, for main course, I had orrechiette with veggies in a creamy sauce. I couldn't decide between fettuccine Alfredo and veggie orrechiette so they accommodated me by making it in a creamy sauce. It was a very good size portion. My niece had a beef stroganoff with pasta and it was delicious. As we were leaving, we found out they have a lunch menu also. The owner came over to check on us and he was also very nice! If you're the area, definitely stop by!

Brunch Shakshuka

Since my first review, I had another dinner (delivery) and two dine in brunches. While I'm inclined to say the dinners were just okay, I really enjoyed the brunch experience. On both occasions, I went with the same friends. On both occasions, we chose the same table. And on both occasions, we spent at least 3 hours catching up never feeling rushed for the table. First brunch selection was the Shashouka. It was delicious albeit egg yolks slightly overdone. However, the Turkish breakfast is what I recommend and ordered when i had brunch at Kitchen today. Two eggs any style accompanied by a beet hummus, smoked eggplant baba, labneh, side salad of chickpeas with cucumbers, feta and olives. Finally, pita bread cut in triangles flavored with Zaatar spice. Really delicious. Cozy atmosphere. Good food. Friendly staff.

This place has a fun Mediterranean menu and thought the drinks and the food were fantastic. We were here with a big group on a summer Saturday and found it buzzing but not overly packed and that was just perfect for a grp get together. I especially enjoyed the different dips, beet hummus, labne, baba ganoush -- name it it was all lovely. The cocktails were all so refreshing too! HOWEVER, we might have come here on an off night. Was very puzzled that they ran out of their Izmir Spritz (how does one run out of a freshly made cocktail?). They then ran out of the honey cake & tuxedo cake so only one person in the grp could have it. Oh but the funniest bit was them running out of spoons and we ended up consuming the delish ice cream with forks!!! The staff was ever so kind though (shoutout to Willa and crew) that we just had to laugh the RUNNING out of things theme.

We had an unexpectedly enjoyable lunch here. The decor is very nice inside with a mix of tables and booths and bar seats. The staff are very friendly and accommodating- when we visited my husband was following a special diet and they were very accommodating. We were just having a quick lunch so we had chicken sandwiches, they were nicely presented, tasty and a good size. The fries and salad they came with were good. The menu is pretty extensive with a mix of diner type food and Mediterranean inspired dishes. We will definitely revisit when we are next in the area.

The Purple
Maya A.

The drink called The Purple tasted like a sophisticated kool-aid! The salted side of the glass tasted like some sort of expensive salt. I asked the bartender to make it without Mezcal because I really hate the taste of it and to make it a lil on the sweeter side 10/10 The octopus was well seasoned but was a little on the chewy side. The potatoes meshed well. Tried the Potato Dumplings, they were delicious!! I thought the lobster roll would be much better than it was, I had gone the whole summer without having one so I guess I had high expectations for it. I loved the presentation for the Crispy Duck Confit!!! It was perfectly cooked. Oh! Don't get the tres leches, it was grainy The Chocolate cake was delicious thou. Our Waiter/Bartender was funny and a delight

I wish that the eggs Benedict would reappear in front of me right now. The eggs were cooked perfectly as well as the hollandaise sauce. The buttery English muffin at the bottom was beyond perfect. Speaking of perfect, this really is the perfect brunch spot. The decor and aesthetic was right up my alley. From the lights, to the emerald green gorgeous bar chairs, I was in love. Now let's talk drinks and food. So so so good. The brunch menu really is outstanding. The breakfast burger was so flavorful and cooked the perfect medium rare. Get your phone ready because the plates are beautiful and all of our eggs were cooked beautifully causing the best #yolkp*rn !!! The French toast was perfectly crisp on the outside but soft and full of cinnamon in the middle & the berry topping was just the perfect bit of tartness that was needed. The drinks were delicious and they have a few that get smoked and make for the most epic photo! They have cute outdoor seating in which we got to enjoy because the weather was beautiful. Can't wait to come back!

Turkish breakfast (sans egg because I ate it too quickly!)
Katie H.

Wow. I don't usually leave reviews but this place was too great not to share. We went for brunch on Sunday at about 12:15 and walked right in, no reservation needed. They didn't have brunch cocktails on the menu but they made us Bloody Mary's and we saw another table order mimosas. The drinks were great - not too spicy but good flavor. I ordered the Turkish Breakfast (pictured) and my partner had the French toast (not pictured because he ate it too fast). Both were delicious. The ingredients were so fresh, so tasty, and unlike other brunch dishes I've had. It may have been the best fried egg I've ever had. The attention to detail in the dish and the flavor were outstanding. And for the price?? Can't beat it. On top of that, the service was excellent. It's a mystery to me why this place wasn't completely packed because it's just that good. Will absolutely be going again and can't wait to check out their dinner!

Amazing find in Cobbile Hill. The experience begins with the service. The staff here are some of the nicest people on the planet! Service always comes with a smile. The cocktails are outrageous, too. Not overdone, but elegantly done and delicious. The food is almost better -- if that's even possible. Definitely come here and get the small plates to share. They clearly put a lot of love into their food and it shows up on the plate. Charming decor, great food, magnificent drinks, and exceptopnal service.

My server was very attentive throughout the entire dinner without being overbearing. I wanted to mention her name but unfortunately misplaced my receipt. I love the fact that when I chose the calamari, that they do have the tentacles as well, and not just the rings. For Peaches Prime to meet that one thing was a BIG PLUS to me for a restaurant that looks a little bit more upscale. But the icing on the cake was the fact that I was able to ask for more calamari with the tentacles in less rings so for me that is a win! The drink glasses are quite small like most upscale restaurants are so by the time you put ice in a cup you don't have that much to drink. I ordered shrimp and grits and it has kale in it with mushrooms and the flavor profile was good, but it's not like a southern profile for grits. A southern flavor profile is more rich and hearty. It was good, but the grits were on the runny side. I was provided a fork. I thought it was a small joke at first. You 100% require a spoon and fork with the shrimp and grits. You need a fork for the shrimp and to remove the tails using your butter knife, but to eat the dish you need a spoon. I like the fact that the kitchen did have a little kick of spices. One thing that is always underrated when you go out to eat at a restaurant anywhere in the world, but especially in North America even in Canada, is that food usually comes out to your table warm not hot. But the food came out piping hot and I love that fact. So that's ANOTHER WIN!! They have non-gender restrooms. They were very clean. The hallway that leads to the restrooms seem to be in a different restaurant. I wanted dessert, but I didn't have the room for it after my delicious meal. I definitely will be back but it's not a restaurant that I can come to every week or else. It's not gonna be good for my diet. I would eat too much!
