Used the website to order this time and everything was ready for pickup as promised. French toast with berries Bacon egg and cheese with salad Sausage egg and cheese on biscuit with salad Sweet potato hash with avocado and salad ALL delicious! The pickup experience was great and too bad we couldn't stay and eat at the restaurant this time. The staff was upbeat and the vibe of the restaurant is relaxing as I remembered.

Overall rating: 4.6 I'm in the process of trying to make this my new neighborhood spot, but admittedly have only been here 2-3x. You order at the bar and I think there are servers but they only give you your meal if you sit at a table. Hard to understand. Of the few times I've been there, really liked! Had the spinach & artichoke dip which was good. Def want to try other items when I have a chance! Also on one of the Friday's I went, they were setting up for a comedy show too.

The inside is cute and the service was good! I liked my meal however it wasn't something that I was like "wow I need to come back". I would probably of done a 3/3.5 but the people I we with really enjoyed their meals! The menu is pretty small but the meals are good. Two people I was with got burgers and said they really enjoyed them! Everyone also loved the mac and cheese (there is a low quality photo below) I had the espresso martini, while it wasn't bad, it wasn't my favorite. My partner had a lemon aid that he disliked because it didn't have much lemon flavor. They have events during the night that seem fun so I'm open to coming back to check those out!

This was a cute little spot to go in after dinner. The drinks were very strong, so be warned. They had Christmas movies playing and really twinkly lights on the ceiling. It was definitely cozy and a really nice ambience.

The brunch was overall very positive, ordered the French toast, breakfast sandwich, and fries. The French toast was sourdough based and was quite soft and cinnamon heavy. The breakfast sandwich was sausage but it tasted more like a burger which was not great. Service was good throughout the meal.

My partner and I went for brunch on Sunday. He had Mac and Cheese. I had the Seasonal Vegetable Omelette, which comes with salad. I also had an Emerald City drink, that was tart and refreshing. The omelette was cooked perfectly and was a great portion size. The salad was perfectly dressed with a lovely vinaigrette. The service was attentive, and the atmosphere is charming.

Walking into Edie Jo's in Brooklyn feels like stumbling upon a hidden oasis where your taste buds are the honored guests at an all-day party. Imagine a place where the hummus is so smooth, it might as well be doing yoga, and the vegetables are so crisp they could double as maracas in the hands of the DJ spinning tunes in the corner. Speaking of that DJ, the beats are so good that even your risotto seems to be dancing--specifically, the green pea risotto, which is like a groove for your palate. Each spoonful is a symphony of flavors, with the peas popping like the best beats at a rooftop party. And if you're lucky enough to catch the string lights at their twinkling best, you'll swear you've entered a magical realm where carbs are always a good idea. But the real magic at Edie Jo's is the customization. The chef here is like a culinary wizard who grants your every food wish. Want extra garlic in your hummus? Done. Need to skip some salt on your plate? Consider it handled. And when it comes to drinks, the bartenders are like mixology magicians. Fancy a Long Island Iced Tea but wish it had a bit less rye? No problem--they'll wave their cocktail shaker and make your dreams come true. In short, Edie Jo's isn't just a place to eat; it's a place to vibe. The hummus platter alone is worth the trip, but add in the DJ, the twinkling string lights, and the way they make you feel like the most important diner in Brooklyn, and you've got yourself a winning combo. Just make sure to tell them how you like your drinks--because at Edie Jo's, the only thing that's not on the menu is disappointment.

Edie Jo's is a solid neighborhood bar offering pub food. They don't have table services so you need to order at the bar, but the staff is friendly and our food arrived very quick. The hummus dip came with nicely charred focaccia, but the splash of tomato sauce on top was a bit strange. The hummus itself was fine, so I recommend to order it without the sauce. My burger was perfectly cooked, also with a nice char on the patty., and the shoestring fries were perfectly cooked with just the right amount of salt. The Stone Old Fashioned was a bit of a let down though as I could not taste any peach flavor. Will have to try some of their other cocktails next time for comparison.

02/05/23: invited to brunch by a friend to spot in his neighborhood. Arrived before they did and wow how the neighborhood has changed. In any event waited a few minutes it's basically first come first served. Not a large establishment but it's a cute cosy neighborhood hangout it seems. Customers consisted of families, Millennials, groups celebrating. I did like I was seated and did not have to wait for the entire party. Basically consisted of booths, lunchroom type tables and bar area. There is an outdoor area and it seems heated. Once my friends arrive time to order. Order is by QR code basically almost zero interaction with wait staff. Orders placed via QR code then delivered to your table. Bit of a negative for me but some may like this option. Food Ordered a friend chicken sandwich with fries and added avocado. Fries were on the salty side but ok. As Not a fan of cabbage the cabbage slaw atop sandwich did not cut it for me. I removed but the juices and taste lingered on. Omelets and burgers also consumed. All in all nothing spectacular. Would I repeat brunch probably not. However I do plan to return to sample dinner menu. Lastly if multiple folks cannot split when time to pay. Probably each person would have to start their own individual tab. Lastly..utilize Seated reservation App for a walk in and received seated dollars.

This is a very cute spot with fun decor and cool vibes if you want something calm to do. Went on a Tuesday and there was Karaoke and the staff were sanginnnnn. A good amount of fun drink options and the chicken sandwich was pretty good. There were other things on the menu that looked pretty tasty so will probably go back one day to check it out.

Gave this spot a second try after we had an incident with our credit card and I'm glad we did. We came on a Saturday afternoon and the vibe was right! We were seated right away and had great service from a waitress named Brianna (I think) she was attentive and was able to answer all our questions for just about everything INCLUDING where we could be posters for our friends who are running the marathon! The food was good and the hot chocolate was bangin! Prefect spot to chill if you want to drink and eat at the bar, inside or outside seating and I think I may get that wallpaper that was inside the bathroom

Super cute place! Love the variety of appetizers, all reasonably priced. Excellent spinach and artichoke dip. The bartenders here are so good at their jobs. Had a raspberry manhattan. Also got a frozen watermelon margarita to go! Quick walk to the Q train

Pros: indoor seating requires vaccination proof, which we appreciated. Cons: slow service and slow food preparation (50+min for my avocado toast). Super weak or lack of AC on a 90+ degree summer day. Additionally, waitress needs customer service training. She didn't give us water or silverware even when the food was there so we ended just grabbing plastic ones by the counter. Then when I asked about my avocado toast, she literally said "I only have two hands", which was beyond the point. Clearly I wasn't asking if she is an octopus, I was asking if it's ready. Shrug* Won't be back even if I'm in the area again.

I also had multiple chums from Brooklyn endorsing this spot, so everything seemed to be lining up for an excellent night. Unfortunately, I'm starting to think you just can't go to places like this on a Tuesday, but maybe it was just a bad night. I got here way before my chum due to our work schedules, literally 45 minutes or so. It wasn't 6pm yet and while there were definitely customers in both the bar area and the backyard outdoor section, it was pretty chill. I was able to secure a small table next to the bar right by the open window in the front (probably because the sun was glaring down on it, which wasn't an issue 10 minutes later) and just chilled out for a while, enjoying the excellent warm weather. This was the highlight of the experience, which unfortunately my chum did not get to enjoy. A lot of this was just unfortunate timing, I think. As I was waiting for my chum, people were practically streaming into the bar, probably about 25 or so, which I watched with increasing trepidation. Pretty much all of them wanted a drink, and there was only one bartender. They did not fix that problem until well into my chum's visit, so there was literally just the one guy making a gazillion drinks for about 45 minutes. Just no reason for that at all, especially given that they DID have the resources to divert and had a young woman back there at a certain point. But once I saw how crazy it was getting, I tried to pre-emptively order a second round, which he forgot about and had to ultimately be reminded of. It took literally half an hour to get the second drink. When my chum arrived, she went up to the bar to order her own drink and some of the arancini. She came back 10 minutes later and said she wasn't given the opportunity - THAT is completely insane. If you're so swamped that customers have to wait that long to even order much less get their drinks, you need help. Not clear where the disconnect was, but what started out as a great experience pretty much crash landed. Really disappointing. The crowd did thin out ultimately but the damage had been done. We were able to get the drinks but didn't bother with the additional app because we didn't want to risk missing a big chunk of the Nets game. So by not being even remotely attentive for a significant period of time, they left money on the table. I will say that the bartender himself maintained his professionalism throughout, and just kept making the drinks. Pretty much the opposite of what would have happened on Bar Rescue. This was on management, not the bartender. The drinks WERE good, which also made the service problems a shame. I got the Witch Doctor, which featured bourbon, rosemary, maple and lemon. Really well made, and appropriate for the unseasonably warm evening - it's the kind of bourbon cocktail made for summer. Would absolutely get that again. And the food was very solid. The star of the night was the arancini, which were featured prominently on the apps menu right at the time and promoted as one of their big selling points - deservedly so. These were honestly some of the best rice balls I've had. The cheese in the middle emphasized the flavors and wasn't too dense or overwhelming, the balls were cooked perfectly, and the sauce (the underrated part of rice balls for me) was delicious. Huge recommend. I also got a margarita flatbread to share with my chum, and that was good as well. Everything was going to come up short to the arancini, but it hit the spot. As mentioned, this was a random Tuesday night when maybe they don't have their full crew ready to rock. Maybe it was a fluke crowd surge? I just don't know, but the bottom line was that they weren't prepared for the customers who came in and were already there, and that's a big problem. If you can't deliver the same quality that you do on the weekends and predictably busier times, then you shouldn't be open that early in the week. Hopefully they figure it out because there's a lot to like here.

I've made it a point to visit every vinyl listening bar that I learn of in town, after enjoying the shared experience of someone curating a select vinyl list in intimate spaces in Tokyo. Few have been able to replicate the experience, but Honeycomb Hi Fi Lounge comes close. That the space is narrow with just a few seats along the bar and a few tables mimics the Japanese experience best, where you can almost have it so the whole room is having one conversation together. The music is the focus. The cocktail menu is rather simple, and my Stormbringer drink, with dark rum and ginger beer was not anything to write home about, but $15 is pretty low for cocktails these days so I'll take it. If they introduced new cocktails to the menu with more interesting ingredients I'd be more inclined to return, but the vibes overall are pretty good and the staff really nice.

My friend and I each order a cocktail, and are catching up. I'm from Brooklyn, however I no longer live here, and this was precious catch-up time with my friend. Then I get interrupted mid-sentence by the old-timer DJ from his low seat in a corner behind the bar. I had bumped the bar with my wrist (bumped my wrist watch as well, not deliberately) and then placed my hand down (granted- more than placed but definitely not slammed), and he decided to warn me that I COULD HAVE made his record skip. It was the Eagles or Santana (far from eclectic, but that's just me). I'm also 99% certain he turned the volume up afterwards, making it even harder to enjoy the company. After that interaction, I struggled to pick it back up with my friend, because I found that distraction very effing rude. When this "4th wall" gets broken down with service, it is hard to then enjoy the space in an uninhibited state. I am all for the Tokyo Vinyl Bar vibe, and I'm also for also giving talent an outlet to share their collection, but this interaction colored my experience, and I closed out after one drink and went elsewhere. I mentioned this to the bartender, and he was kind to offer a buy-back of a rare whiskey, which I did accept. 5 stars for the bartender, but 1 for my experience. I don't like to be harsh or unnecessarily cruel, but this is what it is. I have visited in the past and enjoyed myself. Nonetheless, I certainly won't be coming back.

They serve oysters, which adds to that aphrodisiac experience of the oh so 'wow this is a former brothel!'. The bartenders and servers were fast and very sociable with the more sociable customers. The immediate entrance is very tight, and it was uncomfortable navigating the space. We expected there'd be more seating in the back, which there was, but it was limited and not offered to us until we asked for it. We honestly had no clue where it would be and only asked because of how this place was advertised. While it was comfy once we made our way back there, it was reminiscent of a lounge style bar space that almost any bar could replicate with the right room and budget.
