First of the Garlic Parm Fries are SPECTACULAR! A must try. Crunchy and flavorful and unique. I had the pork sandwich, delicious and juicy. It seems like they change up the menu so I will definitely be back and bringing more friends. Services was great as well, no forgotten requests. I and my family were delighted and satisfied with our entire meal. Thanks 519 !!! read more

I heard a lot of great things about this restaurant and my expectations were very high. Good service. But I didn't see or taste anything special about the food. I've had better. It was ok, just another Italian Restaurant. I'm fussy about my food though! One of the women didn't eat her meal so I took it home and doctored it up! read more

I have no idea what happened to this place, I used to come here all the time for their limited vegan options, but after my last order I will NEVER order again. Honestly, this was the worst experience I have ever had with a restaurant. I ordered delivery, 5 items, $50. (Ended up not eating ANYTHING so total waste of money) I was only delivered 3 small items (which they somehow thought equaled $50) The food I was given was absolutely terrible, the buffalo cauliflower (which I usually get) was five giant chunks of cauliflower dripping with oil, it was completely inedible and looked like something you'd see on Kitchen Nightmares. The fries say they can be ordered vegan, but there was Parmesan cheese on them, and they were also drenched in oil and tasted wet. The BBQ Hibiscus sandwich was dreadful. We couldn't eat the one sandwich that we did receive, it was nauseating to my boyfriend. I ended up eating cereal for dinner after completely wasting my money and time. I don't understand how you can completely miss two items on an order and not listen to any of the specific directions. What are the options even for? DON'T order vegan here. Awful experience and would definitely NEVER recommend this place to anyone again. read more

I cannot express how happy I am to have vegan options in Glendora. This place is adorable.

The food was excellent and tasty, it was a huge group of us and not one person was unhappy with what they got.

Currently sitting at kitchen 519 and this is a great spot! The atmosphere is nice and the food was great. We came here for my moms bday and our server Dominic was great! He even gave us nachos on the house. To start we had the fried green tomatoes and grilled Cesar salad for the appetizers. It was really good! I could eat the fried tomatoes all by myself if I wasn't with a party. For my entree My sister-In law and I both had the pulled pork sandwich with garlic fries, my brother and mom had the inside out burger and my son and sister had the chicken fingers. Everyone enjoyed their meals. It is a BYOB so we provided our own bottle. Hey he night was great and we had such a good time!!! read more

At the moment, the Glendora neighborhood doesn't have the best selection/quality of restaurants. I am pleasantly surprised/happy to see items on the menu here that are inventive/forward thinking for the area... items such as Seitan Cheesesteak, Citrus Salmon Burger, Shrimp & Scallops Mango Ceviche, Blackened Tofu tacos, Roasted Red Pepper Farro, Blue Cobia fish, etc. The interior ambiance is modern/casual. The restaurant servers are very friendly and attentive (shout-out to Jessica). The prices are very reasonable. They are BYOB. They serve brunch, lunch and dinner. They have vegetarian items (I think they have some vegan friendly items as well?). Interestingly, I find that I enjoy the entree's better than the sandwiches (at least the sandwiches I have tried so far). A few of the things we have tried: - - Seitan Cheesesteak: I have tried quite a few in Philly, their interpretation was just ok. The roll was very good and was a generous portion. However, something about the seasoning was too overpowering for my taste buds (though, the wife liked it). Don't let this deter you from trying it, you may like it... just wasn't for me. - - Inside Out Burger: Both the wife and I thought it was okay. We felt that the meat itself did not taste very flavorful... we prefer more of a short rib/brisket/chuck blend. The condiments did spruce the burger up a little. We prefer the burgers at the Pour House in Westmont. - - Hand Cut Garlic fries: We like our fries skin-on , crispy on the outside/soft on the inside. Maybe it was just this batch but the fries were very oily. (perhaps the oil was not hot enough?) - - Spicy Chorizo Mussels: very good/clean, broth is bread-dippin' worthy - - Macadamia Crusted Chicken: very good - - Salmon dish: very good So far, a solid 3.5 stars for the food, 5 stars for the service. Although my review may not seem very glowing, we like this place. I have been following them on Facebook, their menu keeps evolving each week. Looking forward to trying some other items. read more

My first experience wasn't the best. I went for my dad's birthday. It was a party of 9. We ordered our food and the place had just opened for the most part and quickly got busier. Not a problem as we all enjoying ourselves. We waited a rather long time to actually be served with food. Unfortunately, our server wasn't the most attentive to the point we were all finished our waters and waiting almost 15-20min for our waiter to ask for more. Upon receiving our food we all weren't too thrilled with the taste. Even my sister who had been there in the past and loved it said she was disappointed. I will try this place again and hopefully have a better experience but for now I give it 3 stars. read more

The atmosphere was cool and they had an extensive menu. My food was good, the fries were a little too salty for me. So why the 2 star review? They tried to kill my wife...seriously. All over they have signs and messages that say "let us know of any allergies" so when we sat down we informed them of our nut and shellfish allergy. They were good with informing us about the pesto oil, excellent with checking if it was ok about the single fryer they use...BUT FAILED TO MENTION THE PEANUT BUTTER IN THE HOISIN SAUCE! Immediately my wife began to have a reaction, so we asked and they said..."oh yeah, there's a little bit of peanut butter..." The server apologized once when we asked him to remove the offending appetizer, and that was it. No manager coming by to apologize, no double/triple checking to see if she was ok, nothing taken off the bill, no apology at the end. Ruined her night and obviously completely changed our perception. Will never return due to this lazy oversight. read more

This place is really fun - they have great wine glasses and have a fun selection of food. They recently added a bunch of vegetarian stuff - I think they are using Quorn to make the dishes because the vegetarian buffalo "chicken" wings were killer! Also had the parm fries. I got one of their massive salads - these things will feed 4 people easily. All of the dishes there are substantial and worth it. Great for beer or wine. read more

I really can't say enough good things about this place. Did you know lettuce can be grilled? I've never had that before and they made me realize I've been eating salad wrong for the past 30 years. 10/10 would come back (and I have!) Oh and that free iced coffee that comes with the meal if you check in on yelp, I don't think I've seriously tasted a better version - ever. And I've tasted a lot of the competition. They're homemade whipped cream may literally be to die for. read more

My boyfriend and I have been back and cannot wait to go again! Every bite was the perfect blend of flavors!!! We started with the crab nachos- so good!!!! I had the crab cake sandwich and garlic fries- seriously, hands down, the best fries & crab cake I've ever had! My boyfriend started with the watermelon gazpacho- typically not my thing but I tried it- absolutely delicious! He also had an Alfredo pasta dish and he loved every bite- and I loved every bite I stole! For dessert he had the key lime creme brûlée and I had the bananas foster, both were so yummy!!!!! Each dish was fabulous, had a beautiful presentation, and makes us want to come back and try more and more! There was a big party dining when we arrived, and they were all whispering and raving how much they enjoyed everything. When our food arrived to our table- the chef actually brought it to us!!! We thanked him and told him how we enjoyed our appetizers and our wonderful previous experience. He is super talented, gracious, and professional! He turned to walk back into the kitchen- and the party asked if he was the head chef and they all started clapping and congratulating him!!! We couldn't help but join in! From the moment we came in and were greeted by (I think) one if the owners the chef's wife- super sweet, dressed beautifully, and seated us promptly, to our great waiter, the chef, the food- what an amazing meal and experience! My boyfriend and I really enjoy trying new restaurants- he's a bit of a foodie-This is definitely on our list of favorite restaurants!! read more

Perfect stop for lunch on the way down from upstate NY to Maryland. Buffalo cauliflower is amazing! Thanks for the lovely service Steve

Excellent fresh food - my favorite restaurant in the area! The menu is familiar but exciting and features a lot of vegetarian-friendly options. I love having a place on this side of the Delaware that doesn't serve reheated frozen crap AND doesn't charge an arm and a leg for it. I've tried a bunch of items - the veggie tacos, the smoked gouda mac & cheese, the grilled cheeses, the grilled salmon...everything has been delicious and fresh. The only element that hasn't been up to snuff has been timing - even with only one other table occupied, I've typically had to wait a while for the food to come out. Totally worth it when it does. Really comfortable ambiance, polite staff, and kick-ass food. I will continue to dine here and get food to go! Edit - Moving up to 5 stars (from 4). Consistently excellent. read more

I give kitchen 519 4 stars. The atmosphere is great I love the music they play and they have trivial pursuit cards on the table while you wait for your food which is awesome. We ordered the crab nachos which were different but tasty. I had the blat (bacon, lettuce, arugula, avocado, and tomato) which was good but there was not enough bacon, I also had the garlic fries which were awesome and fresh cut. My fiancé had the pork roll, mushroom, and cheese omelet with homefries, and toast he seemed to really enjoy. They have craft sodas, we had the Mexican coca cola which was much sweeter then regular coke but we really liked it. The waiter was friendly and the rest of the staff was nice too. I would say we will definitely go back, the food was fresh, atmosphere awesome. The only reason for 4 stars was the bacon on the BLAT sandwich there just was not enough. read more

We were looking for a high quality, casual dinner spot to start our Saturday night out. Our friends recommended Kitchen 519, and it was a great choice! What a cute spot, not pretentious at all, with a nice menu- a "just-right" amount to choose from, with some unique options. All the items we ordered were great, including the Grilled Caeser Salad, a short rib sandwich, and soup. My only complaint is that our waiter, though attentive, was not always transparent about details. For example, when we ordered soup, he didn't clarify which size we wanted, nor did he acknowledge an up charge for fries or salad with the sandwich (the menu indicated such, but when ordering he asked "a side of soup or salad?" without saying anything about additional charges). Our dinner overall was a great experience and glad we got such a good recommendation. read more

Kitchen 519 is a bold newer restaurant that is creating a culinary trend of bringing scratch high quality foods that you would typically expect in a high end restaurant in the city, to the suburbs. I've only had one mediocre meal here but I just this restaurant amongst other local restaurants because they deliver high quality meals, change menu items seasonal, have great customer service, and ultimately serve great food. Nice Job! read more

The experience of this restaurant is exquisite. You can tell that they have experienced chefs that care about what they put in their food. A very kind serving staff that followed covid guidelines. Definitely going to be returning. read more

WOW! Surprised to find such a great little place in South Jersey! Came here for brunch on Sunday and I felt like I was brunching in a restaurant in NYC, not suburbia! Service was good and decently attentive. They seemed a little short supplied, because they didn't have any extra brunch menus for us when we first walked in, but eventually got them within a few minutes. My mom also ordered a coffee right away, but it was delayed because they were out of clean coffee mugs. It was decently packed, especially since there was a bridal party going on. The menu looked great, with plenty of vegetarian items (something that is usually hard to find in this area). I just came from running--so I was craving something filling and hearty. My mom and I split the banana foster's french toast and the Luther Burger (burger with a donut bun) with a side salad. The french toast was awesome!! I generally stray away from sweet breakfast items (french toast, pancakes, etc) but this was great! It came topped with caramelized bananas and small pieces of pineapple. Highly recommend getting this dish! Next time I wanna try some of their other flavors of french toast! The burger was interesting! I've always wanted to try the donut burger--and surprisingly the flavor was great! The sweetness of the donut, plus bacon and beef was perfect. The donut was just meh--tasted like a dense donut they opened from a prepackaged box. Wouldn't order this again, it was more about the experience :) The one negative: I was suppose to get a free foundation soda with a yelp check in, but the waiter never brought it. I didn't bother reminding him since I didn't care much for the added sugary drink. Great place! Will be coming back when I'm in the area. Really wanna try dinner here next. Also, an added positive! All tables have a stack of trivia pursuit cards to keep you occupied while waiting! I love trivia so this is a huge plus! read more

The English language does not have a word adequate enough to describe how delicious our lunch was today! This was our first visit to Kitchen 519, which we found on Yelp, but it will not be our last visit! We started with crab nachos. The cheese sauce was incredible and was topped with very fresh flakes of crab. I ordered and devoured a crab cake with sides of seasonal vegetables and couscous. It was one of the most delicious meals I've ever had. My husband ordered a braised short rib sandwich. The meat was so tender and flavorful and the ciabatta roll was perfectly baked. We live 20 minutes away, but this could turn into our go-to restaurant. Shout out to our kind and attentive waitress Margo as well! read more

This is a takeout review. It was Tuesday and i was able to get 1/2 off appetizers even with takeout. The fried pickles was the least favorite of my order. The batter was too thick, too hard, and too crunchy to my liking. The ranch sauce made it better. The crab nachos was awesome minus the saltiness of the chips. Thanks for packaging up this order separately, i wouldn't have wanted to eat soggy nachos when i got home. I would definitely recommend this as an appetizer. I had the inside out burger ($10) well done with hand cut garlic fries for an additional $2. Pat on the back to the chef, loved this burger and the fries! The burger was so big i hate the other half as leftover for breakfast. The guy had is medium and he loved it as well. The wait time for pick up was about 20 minutes. I would suggest calling ahead if your opting for takeout. The menu is on their website. read more

I brought my boyfriend and his mom to Kitchen 519 for Mother's Day brunch yesterday after reading the great reviews on Yelp. They called me on Saturday to confirm my reservation and mentioned that they were booked up for the day and could not accommodate any time changes. Good to know! The decor of the place is eclectic with a vintage flair- a pleasant surprise, being that the outside of the restaurant is pretty plain and industrial-looking. The kitchen is located right by the hostess stand, and since there was no wall separating it from the entry way, you could see, hear, and smell everything that was going on. Unfortunately that meant I could hear loud inappropriate conversations being had between the staff members as I waited for my boyfriend and his mom to arrive. It was a little awkward to say the least. When we were seated, our waiter promptly took our drink orders and went over the menu. We all ordered coffee (which tasted burnt in my opinion) and put and order of the garlic fries in. When they came out, I was excited to see that they came with 3 dipping sauces. I'm a sucker for that kind of thing! The fries were crispy and tender, nicely seasoned, and the sauces were all delicious (however, the 2 aioli sauces tasted very similar). For entrees, we ordered the crab cake Benedict, stuffed burger, and bananas foster French toast. The kitchen was nice enough to accommodate my boyfriends mom's request of a lettuce wrap instead of a bun. All of the food tasted great. Our waiter was very nice, but a little awkward at times. Overall, I am excited to come back and give this place a try for dinner! read more

This is 4th time we have been there and each time it goes downhill a little more. I ordered short rib and scallop fra Diablo. Asked for lightly spicy, got no spicy. Scallops were tiny bay scallops that were obviously frozen since they were cold inside. Short rib was tender but had no flavoring. Was supposed to have artichokes, none seen and dish was on bed of arugula...not in description. Also VERY salty. The biggest let down was dessert. Advertised as a limoncello cake, what we got was a Manhattan glass with a 1 inch square of cake topped with an inch of whipped cream...all for $8. Sorry, will not be returning. read more

2.5 stars. Meh, the hype about this place did not match our experience. Trendy, yes. Vegan friendly, yes. An excellent meal for 2 meat eaters, not really. My husband and I visited for date night after carefully planning to get reservations! This place was hard to get in to on a Saturday night. We liked our huge booth, but being it was only 2 of us, it would have been better suited for a larger party! The service was great, but we came to eat and the food fell short. There were so many appetizers that were tempting, it was hard to choose! We ended up opting for a special of pork belly flat bread and hand cut garlic fries, both were really good. As for our entrees, they left us wanting more of the apps. My husband's buttermilk fried chicken and biscuit was OK... under seasoned and bland. I added the grilled salmon to a Caesar salad, it was just OK. Nicely presented though. A pro: they sell the local South Jersey Auburn wine in case you forget that it's a BYOB. Few cons: small parking lot, hard to get reservations, pricey for the area. We won't be returning unless we go just for a bunch of small plates/appetizers. read more

Kitchen 519 - Grilled salmon with ceasar salad, chicken & biscuit - New American Near Me - Glendora, New Jersey

Ordered takeout from here while visiting the area, my husband and I were desperate for a restaurant with vegan options. He enjoyed the food much more than I did, he would have given a 4.5 and me a 3 rating so I wanted to reflect both of our thoughts. The vegan chicken tasted off to me but hubby loved it. I enjoyed my Greek burger. The vegan pumpkin loaf was good though! read more

I really want to love this place but I'm never blown away w the food. I got crab Alfredo and it just lacked flavor. I added salt and it still didn't help. It had zero flavor. Barely any lump crab. And it wasn't that hot. My son got the special mac and cheese w the alligator sausage. He seemed to enjoy that. My aunt got the chicken caprese pasta. Hers was also not that hot. She seemed to like it though. We got Ceasar salad and the house salad. That was weird. It had pecan crusted goat cheese and thin pear slices. Something was missing or off though. It needed something else. Maybe something crunchy or tomato or something. The Ceasar was ok. They grill the romaine which I normally love when I do it myself but this time it was a smokey flavor. And I'm just not a fan of that. I'll Prob end up going back Bc it is diff and eclectic and we don't have any other places like that around here. read more

We've eaten at Kitchen 519 numerous times before and it's been very good. However, tonight's take out was lacking! I ordered the Crab cake entree - it was edible but that's about it. A lot of filler was used. I asked for sautéed spinach on the side, but didn't get it. My fiancee ordered the burnt end brisket burrito which usually is packed with meat and he really enjoyed past. This time, it was filled with mostly macaroni and cheese and very little brisket! We are very disappointed and won't be returning. Too bad. read more

I've been here twice and have had excellent service both times (once for dinner and once for lunch). I've had a salmon special and a pulled pork sandwich. The pulled pork, while not like anything I've had before, was incredibly good. Bold flavor, not too spicy. The salmon was also delicious. My only complaint is the size of the restaurant: it is SMALL. Which is fine, but I'm uncomfortable in small spaces, and you can't ignore that. But the food is delicious and the service was great if you can get past it read more
