Great family meal. Delicious higher end pub fare in a casual setting. It's BYOB but they had bottles from a local winery.

Everything about this place was awesome!!!!! Definitely an interesting atmosphere. It's the anti fancy fancy restaurant. With plenty of elegant selections on the menu everything was very reasonably priced and the menu had something on it for everyone. From the quality of the food and the selections on the menu you would expect to pay a great deal more and find some of these selections in more pretentious upscaled restaurant. We started off with the three humus appetizer and all 3 were delicious. One of which may have been the best I ever had. I believe it was a carrot humus. Our entrees were cooked to perfection. My wife had ordered a crusted chicken dish and I had ordered a duck breast over collard greens and Gouda Mac and cheese. My wife was very pleased with her meal as was I. The duck was cooked perfectly and who new collared greens can be made deliciously. The Mac and cheese was great. Way beyond expectations. For dessert my wife ordered creme brûlée and I had ordered banana foster. Both of which were masterpiece desserts if that's a thing. We bought a very good bottle of wine from their selection(red) in which I loved. My wife who normally doesn't drink reds also enjoyed the wine. Our service was excellent. The waiter was polite relaxed and attentive. He timed his appearances perfectly and spoke with is just the right amount. Sadly his name escapes me but I believe he said he has been there for 3 years. read more

Very impressed! Added benefit is that it's a BYOB. Excellent, prompt service. Grilled Caesar salad was superb. Hoisin calamari was a little saltier than I prefer but was good. Grilled salmon and sautéed spinach were perfectly cooked. The blackened Cobia was a good choice by my date. Nana's Kitchen wine was a great complement to the meal. read more

Had the most incredible dinner last night and brunch today at Kitchen 519 on Evesham rd! (4.5 miles away) The owners are on site and are attentive. The staff was friendly. Socially distanced indoor and outdoor eating and a unique bistro type menu! We saw their brunch menu first and picked out our must haves for the next day since we missed brunch! For dinner we had Dill Hummus with beets, radishes and Cucumbers and Buffalo Cauliflower followed by macadamian crusted chicken and apple spiced brisket! Brunch this morning was Cream Chipped Brisket and Chicken and Waffles! You know it's good when you dive right in and forget to take a pic!! I'm not a vegetarian but they had a lot of yummy vegan options and won an award for their veggie burger ... so if you're into that you can find it here! Check them out! Literally stumbled upon this place due to a friend from Vermont saying it was one of her favorite places. I just don't understand why I, someone who lives within 10 minutes of the restaurant, had never seen or been here. You're welcomed by a spoon and fork chalkboard with some featured dishes, a kitchen sign above the walkway heading to the dinning room, a high industrial ceiling, mason jar lighting fixtures, and quite a bit of art for sale. It is a BYOB but they offer a wine list. Most selections are full bottles and they offer a few half bottle selections. There was an immediate smell of seafood in the air which probably swayed my decision for the entree. In which I might add I couldn't decide on one so I ordered two of them. Blackened Cobia, and Seafood Alfredo. No doubt I finished both as well as ordered dessert, which is seriously unusual for me. I mean, how could anything be bad after the meal(s) I've had. That damn Apple Caramel Crème Brûlée (seasonal, depending on the fruit the have). I just can't wait to go back. Please go! This is a cumulative rating for three visits over the last couple of years. It's interesting that I've been here before, but never remember what I had or my experience. They have a good vegan menu and solid other choices. It was a little warm in the dining room and I felt bad for all the servers who seemed to be sweating like under interrogation. Even now I had to go to their menu to confirm what I had just 3 days ago... I had a short rib sandwich and my girlfriend had the duck. The charred broccoli on her dish was incredible. We definitely missed them during our quarantine and are very excited we can continue coming in! Chili. A million ways to make it. All of them wrong. Until now. Kitchen 519 is unassuming, situated in Glendora, an area not on the radar per se for a fine dining experience. When the soup du jour turned out to be a venison chili, I immediately fell in love. When it arrived at the table it had a soup-like appearance but I knew better. Once I tasted it, I couldn't decide whether to eat slowly and savor it or plow through it, fearful someone might actually see my enjoyment and want to cash in on the action. Everything we ate was excellent, though clearly he chili sold me on the place. Service was stellar and food better. We were there for my wife's birthday and they didn't disappoint with kindness, great service, and even a candle in her dessert! It's got a great, rustic charm to it and for the art aficionado, there are original works around the restaurant, some for sale. Some of the art is by the very cooks and servers who work at the restaurant! If you've never been to Kitchen 519, let this be your invitation to a wonderful fooding experience. Yelp Reviewers did not let me down tonight. Frankly I'm staying in a very dumpy local hotel; so, I had low expectations for a nearby restaurant. I went with the #1 rec, Kitchen 519 and was rewarded with a superb meal. My waitress was friendly, efficient & I loved the dinner she suggested following a brief conversation, The chicken might have been ever so slightly over crisped, but the combination of flavors was amazing. I highly recommend the Macadamia Chicken with Pineapple fried rice, fried plantain, arugula & rum sauce! FYI It is a BYO bottle of wine restaurant or they have a limited selection of full bottles for purchase. I was sent home with a super nice wine cozy for the rest of my bottle. My wife's boss sent her an email about South Jersey Restaurant week. My wife thoroughly examined the list and thought Kitchen 519 was our best choice. We drove about forty-five minutes to get there and found a spot in their lot. This place was BYOB, which was nice, and we brought a bottle to enjoy with our meal. It took awhile for the waiter to get to us, but he did apologize once or twice for it. We ordered and I went with the candied bacon salad, we both got the artisanal cheese plate and we shared the Braised lamb shoulder and the birch beer bbq duck breast. As always, the better entree was in front of me. The lamb shoulder was so tender, and complimented the minted cous cous, feta, and pomegranate seeds so well. I might even say this was the best cous cous I've had with a meal. Everything worked together. The duck breast wasn't as great as I built it up in my head. I didn't really get that birch beer BBQ flavor I was hoping for. The duck was satisfactory though. There was a lot of pepper jack mac n cheese, but it had such great flavor too. My wife ordered the last snickers creme brulee and I had a bread pudding. Both were great and a nice way to end our meal. The bread was fantastic. So well done. The portions for everything seemed small to me, but I was not in the least hungry afterwards. It was four courses. I don't know when I would ever return, but I definitely would come back here and I already have recommended it to a few people I know while in the dining room. read more

We came here for South Jersey restaurant week and got the 4 course menu for $35. I was looking for a restaurant that had food items or combinations that I haven't seen before. They were very busy and it took awhile for our waiter to come over, but he apologized. We were able to BYOB so that was nice. For our starter course, my husband ordered the salad with bleu cheese and candied bacon and I ordered the vegetable egg drop soup. My soup tasted very fresh, but I enjoyed my husband's salad better. We then both ordered the artisan cheese plate so they put both together on one board. We enjoyed it, but we were fighting over a couple of cheeses. The fruit jam they put on the plate was very tasty. My husband and I both wanted the birch beer glazed duck entree, but I made him get the lamb shoulder with pomegrante, mint cous cous, and feta cheese. My entree was good, but my husband's was a lot better. The duck came on top of pepper jack cheese macaroni. The mac and cheese had a nice creamy flavor and I enjoyed it, but it overpowered the duck. I hardly even tasted the duck actually. I would rather have had the duck on the side of the macaroni, I don't like my food mixing in with each other. The duck was cooked well but I didn't really taste much birch beer flavor. My husband's lamb was amazing, and normally I don't like lamb. I was eating more of his dinner than my own. It was so tender and the mint cous cous, feta, and pomegranate seeds all complimented each other so well. I was not expecting it to be that good or else I would have ordered it too. For dessert my husband got some apple bread pudding and I got snickers creme brulee. The creme brulee caught me off guard a little. I didn't know there was going to be nuts and chocolate throughout the whole custard, I thought it was just going to be on top. It was different. It was good but I think I like regular creme brulee better. Overall it was a very good meal. This restaurant is kind of out of the way from where we live so I don't know if we would make it back, but maybe if there's a good special again. read more

I always want to eat here because of the mom and pop atmosphere, but never truly leave satisfied. The food is okay, nothing to brag about, but the service is awful. All 3 times I have gone, they have been extremely understaffed and I was waiting so long for everything. read more

Looking for a place for dinner driving home through south Jersey and found this place. I like trying local independent places. Food was delicious - my husband had the fish special I had the shrimp tacos. The only improvement would be the salsa and chips. The salsa had good flavor but there was not enough of it. This review is purely based on my take-out experience. My girlfriend and I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a few weeks now and I suggested it when getting home from work at 4pm. Being we both really wanted to relax on the couch we decided to have the best of both worlds, the food from a place we've heard is great and relaxing on the couch while we eat it. We ordered the inside out burger with Parmesan fries, steak frites, Gorgonzola clams and Gouda mac and cheese. My girlfriend ordered her steak frites medium and I ordered my burger medium well. Both were cooked to perfection. The rest of the food was amazing as well. The clams were an extremely large serving making the $13 more than fair. The mac and cheese was also amazing. It was the best I have had in a long time. We both were equally amazed by the quality of the food. This place is always packed at night. I called the order in at 4:45pm and it was ready to be picked up in 20 minutes. I left 10 minutes after placing the order and they were packing it into the bag when I arrived. Pickup was a breeze and the crowed was beginning. Parking may be a bit tough as when I arrived their lot was full. It only holds about 10 cars. The rest is street parking. I would say that is the only downside to eating in at this restaurant. If you're coming in a group I would suggest carpooling. read more

Visited here a few weeks ago on the recommendation of a friend. The interior is very cozy with nice artwork throughout. I ordered the Crab Cake Sandwich and it was very good. Also loved the service - the staff was very attentive. Samantha was our server's name. Sam was very sweet and patiently answered all our questions about the menu. I would definitely go back. PS. Just the other day my boss told me to find a place we can get lunch for our team for the next day. It was on Tuesday, just 2 days away from Thanksgiving. I know it was going to be tight, but already knew in my mind I wanted to go with Kitchen 519. I called in the AM and chatted with the chef. They have a catering menu online and we based it off that. He told me he didn't have a couple of items on the catered menu, but I told him we'll work with what he does have in house. I've been to this restaurant a handful of times and they are very talented. Chef showed up exactly at noon on Wednesday and laid out the awesome spread. Caesar salad with house made dressing, Glazed ham, grilled Salmon, rolls & butter, Penne pasta with a pesto cream sauce, roasted potatoes, roasted brussel sprouts, butternut squash, and a dessert tray. My guys are picky eaters and they loved every single bite. Seriously, I couldn't have been happier with the meal. One former chef on the team said, You know I love that each dish has it's own flavor profile and he was exactly right. The cream sauce on the pasta was perfect and the caesar dressing was incredible, down to the cookies and cake bites.
