Had the most incredible dinner last night and brunch today at Kitchen 519 on Evesham rd! (4.5 miles away) The owners are on site and are attentive. The staff was friendly. Socially distanced indoor and outdoor eating and a unique bistro type menu! We saw their brunch menu first and picked out our must haves for the next day since we missed brunch! For dinner we had Dill Hummus with beets, radishes and Cucumbers and Buffalo Cauliflower followed by macadamian crusted chicken and apple spiced brisket! Brunch this morning was Cream Chipped Brisket and Chicken and Waffles! You know it's good when you dive right in and forget to take a pic!! I'm not a vegetarian but they had a lot of yummy vegan options and won an award for their veggie burger ... so if you're into that you can find it here! Check them out! Please support local businesses like this one!! You can buy wine by the bottle too!! read more

Literally stumbled upon this place due to a friend from Vermont saying it was one of her favorite places. I just don't understand why I, someone who lives within 10 minutes of the restaurant, had never seen or been here. You're welcomed by a spoon and fork chalkboard with some featured dishes, a kitchen sign above the walkway heading to the dinning room, a high industrial ceiling, mason jar lighting fixtures, and quite a bit of art for sale. It is a BYOB but they offer a wine list. Most selections are full bottles and they offer a few half bottle selections. There was an immediate smell of seafood in the air which probably swayed my decision for the entree. In which I might add I couldn't decide on one so I ordered two of them. Blackened Cobia, and Seafood Alfredo. No doubt I finished both as well as ordered dessert, which is seriously unusual for me. I mean, how could anything be bad after the meal(s) I've had. That damn Apple Caramel Crème Brûlée (seasonal, depending on the fruit the have). I just can't wait to go back. Please go! Ps: They offer Gluten-free, Vegan, Vegetarian dishes as well as Brunch, Lunch and Dinner options. read more

Service and food were excellent! No complaints at all. The Appetizers came out extremely fast and the entrees followed right behind.

The food was so good! Definitely will be back! The server was attentive and helpful and that's really important to me.

So so GOOD!!! One of my favorite local spots. Prices are good, BYOB, great food, deserts and friendly service.

This is a cumulative rating for three visits over the last couple of years. It's interesting that I've been here before, but never remember what I had or my experience. They have a good vegan menu and solid other choices. It was a little warm in the dining room and I felt bad for all the servers who seemed to be sweating like under interrogation. Even now I had to go to their menu to confirm what I had just 3 days ago... I had a short rib sandwich and my girlfriend had the duck. The charred broccoli on her dish was incredible. We did start with some tasty fried pickles. Overall, it's just ok. read more

Today restaurants were open 25% and I had to make sure I made a reservation to Kitchen 519! We absolutely love the food and the service is always great! We definitely missed them during our quarantine and are very excited we can continue coming in! Diana added a lot of new items to the menu which we were able to order one today and it was amazing!! read more

Great family meal. Delicious higher end pub fare in a casual setting. It's BYOB but they had bottles from a local winery.

Chili. A million ways to make it. All of them wrong. Until now. Kitchen 519 is unassuming, situated in Glendora, an area not on the radar per se for a fine dining experience. When the soup du jour turned out to be a venison chili, I immediately fell in love. When it arrived at the table it had a soup-like appearance but I knew better. Once I tasted it, I couldn't decide whether to eat slowly and savor it or plow through it, fearful someone might actually see my enjoyment and want to cash in on the action. Everything we ate was excellent, though clearly he chili sold me on the place. Service was stellar and food better. We were there for my wife's birthday and they didn't disappoint with kindness, great service, and even a candle in her dessert! It's got a great, rustic charm to it and for the art aficionado, there are original works around the restaurant, some for sale. Some of the art is by the very cooks and servers who work at the restaurant! If you've never been to Kitchen 519, let this be your invitation to a wonderful fooding experience. I promise you won't be disappointed. Meal: Steak frites. Venison chili. Fried Oreos. French press coffee. read more

Best Sunday brunch so many yummy choices it's always hard to decide but Carmel French toast usually wins

Yelp Reviewers did not let me down tonight. Frankly I'm staying in a very dumpy local hotel; so, I had low expectations for a nearby restaurant. I went with the #1 rec, Kitchen 519 and was rewarded with a superb meal. My waitress was friendly, efficient & I loved the dinner she suggested following a brief conversation, The chicken might have been ever so slightly over crisped, but the combination of flavors was amazing. I highly recommend the Macadamia Chicken with Pineapple fried rice, fried plantain, arugula & rum sauce! FYI It is a BYO bottle of wine restaurant or they have a limited selection of full bottles for purchase. I was sent home with a super nice wine cozy for the rest of my bottle. Not sure if that is standard or just my awesome waitress! read more

Great food new menu everyday. All the food is locally sourced natural and fresh.I love it

My wife's boss sent her an email about South Jersey Restaurant week. My wife thoroughly examined the list and thought Kitchen 519 was our best choice. We drove about forty-five minutes to get there and found a spot in their lot. This place was BYOB, which was nice, and we brought a bottle to enjoy with our meal. It took awhile for the waiter to get to us, but he did apologize once or twice for it. We ordered and I went with the candied bacon salad, we both got the artisanal cheese plate and we shared the Braised lamb shoulder and the birch beer bbq duck breast. As always, the better entree was in front of me. The lamb shoulder was so tender, and complimented the minted cous cous, feta, and pomegranate seeds so well. I might even say this was the best cous cous I've had with a meal. Everything worked together. The duck breast wasn't as great as I built it up in my head. I didn't really get that birch beer BBQ flavor I was hoping for. The duck was satisfactory though. There was a lot of pepper jack mac n cheese, but it had such great flavor too. My wife ordered the last snickers creme brulee and I had a bread pudding. Both were great and a nice way to end our meal. The bread was fantastic. So well done. The portions for everything seemed small to me, but I was not in the least hungry afterwards. It was four courses. I don't know when I would ever return, but I definitely would come back here and I already have recommended it to a few people I know while in the dining room. read more

Kitchen 519 - a plate of fried chicken and waffles - New American Near Me - Glendora, New Jersey

We came here for South Jersey restaurant week and got the 4 course menu for $35. I was looking for a restaurant that had food items or combinations that I haven't seen before. They were very busy and it took awhile for our waiter to come over, but he apologized. We were able to BYOB so that was nice. For our starter course, my husband ordered the salad with bleu cheese and candied bacon and I ordered the vegetable egg drop soup. My soup tasted very fresh, but I enjoyed my husband's salad better. We then both ordered the artisan cheese plate so they put both together on one board. We enjoyed it, but we were fighting over a couple of cheeses. The fruit jam they put on the plate was very tasty. My husband and I both wanted the birch beer glazed duck entree, but I made him get the lamb shoulder with pomegrante, mint cous cous, and feta cheese. My entree was good, but my husband's was a lot better. The duck came on top of pepper jack cheese macaroni. The mac and cheese had a nice creamy flavor and I enjoyed it, but it overpowered the duck. I hardly even tasted the duck actually. I would rather have had the duck on the side of the macaroni, I don't like my food mixing in with each other. The duck was cooked well but I didn't really taste much birch beer flavor. My husband's lamb was amazing, and normally I don't like lamb. I was eating more of his dinner than my own. It was so tender and the mint cous cous, feta, and pomegranate seeds all complimented each other so well. I was not expecting it to be that good or else I would have ordered it too. For dessert my husband got some apple bread pudding and I got snickers creme brulee. The creme brulee caught me off guard a little. I didn't know there was going to be nuts and chocolate throughout the whole custard, I thought it was just going to be on top. It was different. It was good but I think I like regular creme brulee better. Overall it was a very good meal. This restaurant is kind of out of the way from where we live so I don't know if we would make it back, but maybe if there's a good special again. read more

Food was amazing, service was awesome considering our waitress also appeared to be hosting and food running. Can't wait to go back!

I always want to eat here because of the mom and pop atmosphere, but never truly leave satisfied. The food is okay, nothing to brag about, but the service is awful. All 3 times I have gone, they have been extremely understaffed and I was waiting so long for everything. read more

Definitely enjoyed my first trip here. Great food, interesting menu, cool decor and solid service. Reuben soup was amazing. Inside out burger was also outstanding. BYOB. I will definitely be back to try the other menu items asap. read more

Looking for a place for dinner driving home through south Jersey and found this place. I like trying local independent places. Food was delicious - my husband had the fish special I had the shrimp tacos. The only improvement would be the salsa and chips. The salsa had good flavor but there was not enough of it. The fish special was unique and flavorful. As was the Brussels sprout app. Service was great. Would definitely return if in the area again. read more

This review is purely based on my take-out experience. My girlfriend and I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a few weeks now and I suggested it when getting home from work at 4pm. Being we both really wanted to relax on the couch we decided to have the best of both worlds, the food from a place we've heard is great and relaxing on the couch while we eat it. We ordered the inside out burger with Parmesan fries, steak frites, Gorgonzola clams and Gouda mac and cheese. My girlfriend ordered her steak frites medium and I ordered my burger medium well. Both were cooked to perfection. The rest of the food was amazing as well. The clams were an extremely large serving making the $13 more than fair. The mac and cheese was also amazing. It was the best I have had in a long time. We both were equally amazed by the quality of the food. This place is always packed at night. I called the order in at 4:45pm and it was ready to be picked up in 20 minutes. I left 10 minutes after placing the order and they were packing it into the bag when I arrived. Pickup was a breeze and the crowed was beginning. Parking may be a bit tough as when I arrived their lot was full. It only holds about 10 cars. The rest is street parking. I would say that is the only downside to eating in at this restaurant. If you're coming in a group I would suggest carpooling. read more

Food is amazing. The burnt ends burrito is a family favorite. Great service and atmosphere.

Wow! Took me over a year to find somewhere with Buffalo Cauliflower and I wasn't disappointed. The dishes are really special; very well crafted and have excellent flavor. I've only ordered take out and hope to one day eat onsite. 5/5 will fizz again. read more

Love Kitchen 519! I'm not sure how you've managed to elude me for so long, but better late than never! This hidden gem was such a pleasant surprise! When you first walk in you'll find that it's not big by any means, but it's quaint, cozy and charming and I think that's what makes it so special...not to mention that it's family owned and operated...nothing better than a mom-and-pop restaurant! Once you're seated and have a chance to really look around, you can't but help admire the various works of art from local artists adorning the walls. There was an unframed penciled sketch of a woman that hung along a curtain rod that particularly piqued my interest (by the way, some are for sale). I absolutely loved the groupings of mason jar pendants that hung from the ceiling! They cast a warm industrial flare to the overall décor along with the oil-rubbed bronze ceiling fans. As far as seating goes, they offer both table and booth seating. OK, so on to the food! I ordered the Chipotle Chicken Salad and my friends ordered the Crab Cake Sandwich and the Powerhouse Salad. Let me just say...other than all of us absolutely loving our lunch choices...the presentation was beyond! It's my understanding that the owner, Jeff Stewart, is the Executive Chef and it's obvious he's got mad culinary talent! So looking forward to coming back again for dinner and the buzz is they have an amazing brunch! Btw, just a friendly tip...it's BYOB so be sure to come prepared! read more

not that this is saying much but best restaurant in glendora (it's the only restaurant in glendora lol) but in all seriousness kitchen 519 is very good I recommend it to people all the time. Service is nice and considering all of their food/specialty drinks are made to order relatively quick. I love the little trivia cards on the table always makes the wait go by fast. Plenty of vegan/vegetarian options as well. read more

First two times enjoyed my meal so much that I brought more friends the third time. However the experience was not nearly as good nor was the food as good. Service was slow and took food a long time to arrive to the table. Not sure I'll be back for number 4. read more

I was really torn between a 2 and 3 rating for Kitchen 519. If I could give Kitchen 519 a 2.5 I would for the atmosphere which had interesting decor and a cozy dining room feel. Service was slow but we weren't in a rush and our waiter was friendly. I was excited about the food. The menu was very interesting. It had a spin on your typical choices (i.e. mussels with chorizo, calamari with hoisin sauce). We went with the spicy fish tacos for an appetizer (which took a really long time to come out). For $13, the two tacos were tasty but there was hardly any fish on them. It was disappointing because it was the most expensive appetizer they offered and actually more expensive then our actual entrees. I ordered the vegetable sandwich that came with spinach, roasted peppers, tomatoes, basil, mozzarella, and garlic aioli. I also ordered the garlic fries for an additional $2 (based on the rave yelp reviews about them). I'm not sure if they were having an off night but the garlic fries were a total miss. They had no flavor! They were hard and cold by the time they got to our table. The sandwich was OK but too much aioli which made it very soggy and messy. Maybe a crunchier roll to vary the texture? My husband ordered the smoked gouda mac and cheese with grilled chicken. It was very flavorful and rich and they served with a lot of chicken. He really enjoyed it and had it for lunch today! One thing that really bothered me was the kids menu. They had only three choices and no prices on the menu. I should have asked but I didn't notice at first. My daughter ordered the grilled cheese which came with fries and a scoop of ice cream. When we got the bill we saw that it was $8! Her fries were horrible and I felt bad because she really wanted them. Way too expensive for grilled cheese. It cost more than my veggie sandwich! I'd to give Kitchen 519 a second chance but I'll be more careful of what I order and definitely skip the fries. read more

Good place to go with many gluten free and vegan options. Good atmosphere and service when I dined in.

Though it looks blah on the outside, this place is worth trying! The menu is varied and inventive, and very reasonably priced. I was in bellmawr for a job and went here for lunch with a coworker. We liked it so much we went back the next day. I got the tofu tacos, watermelon gazpacho, BLAT, and Ruben soup, and my coworker got the grilled salmon twice because he liked it so much. I enjoyed everything I had as well. I would like to see this place spruce up its exterior to match the vibe inside and the vibe of the food. Maybe a mural or something, more plants etc. It is great to see an exciting restaurant in the area, as it is lacking food establishments that are not diners or pizza shops, and I'd like to see this place thriving. read more

Just the other day my boss told me to find a place we can get lunch for our team for the next day. It was on Tuesday, just 2 days away from Thanksgiving. I know it was going to be tight, but already knew in my mind I wanted to go with Kitchen 519. I called in the AM and chatted with the chef. They have a catering menu online and we based it off that. He told me he didn't have a couple of items on the catered menu, but I told him we'll work with what he does have in house. I've been to this restaurant a handful of times and they are very talented. Chef showed up exactly at noon on Wednesday and laid out the awesome spread. Caesar salad with house made dressing, Glazed ham, grilled Salmon, rolls & butter, Penne pasta with a pesto cream sauce, roasted potatoes, roasted brussel sprouts, butternut squash, and a dessert tray. My guys are picky eaters and they loved every single bite. Seriously, I couldn't have been happier with the meal. One former chef on the team said, You know I love that each dish has it's own flavor profile and he was exactly right. The cream sauce on the pasta was perfect and the caesar dressing was incredible, down to the cookies and cake bites. Everyone was impressed and I am more than happy to order from them again. read more

I don't know where to begin so I'm just going to ramble off. Everything about this place is five star worthy! The decor and atmosphere is warm and inviting. The place is rather loud but that is because the room is filled with people enjoying their meals. This actually adds to the experience. The menu choices are awesome. For our appetizer we had the mussels and they were arguably the best mussels we have ever had. One thing that some places skimp on is the bread. Not here. Not only was the bread great, it was plentiful. We asked for more and they brought out a piping hot loaf as well as crostini for us. Keep in mind that this is coming from a man who eats mussels on average once a week. For our entrees I had the filet and my fiancé had the fish special: blackened cobia. I don't ever recall seeing a 12 ounce filet anywhere and if I did, I assure you it wasn't only $32. The steak was great and perfectly cooked. I had the mushroom demi-glaze added to it and if I'm being picky, I'd say that it had too many onions and not enough mushrooms. Her cobia was perfectly cooked and expertly presented. Now on to the deserts! I had a black mule, which is a Mexican coca-cole served with a scoop of ice cream in a mug. You pour it yourself so you can have the consistency that you desire. We also ordered...wait for it... Fried Oreo sundae. OMG. Honestly, everything up to this point could have been terrible and this desert alone would make the place five star worthy. However that wasn't the case and everything was amazing. Did I mention value? The prices this place charges are more than fair and as I sit here writing this review, the day after going, I'm thinking I want to go back today for their brunch! Hands down my new favorite restaurant! read more

I love this little spot! It is definitely a hidden gem. It is very small and intimate which is what makes it so great. Service is excellent. Staff is very helpful and accommodating. Food is out of this world. First off, the bread and olive oil they give you at the table was so delicious. The bread was flaky on the outside but soft and warm on the inside. The drinks came in little mason jars which I thought was so cute! My friends and I started with the hummus appetizer which was delicious. My entree was the macadamia crusted chicken served with roasted potatoes and arugula. I also ordered a side Caesar salad. It came out as a big wedge of romaine and it was lightly grilled. At first I was a little skeptical but it was really delicious and the grilling gave it extra flavor. My friend ordered the crab cake sandwich with crab mashed potatoes---so delicious! Another friend ordered the gouda Mac and cheese---AMAZING! The only negative thing I can say about my experience was that the pasta could have been cooked a little more. Other than that I have no complaints! All in all the food is bursting with flavor and all of the food is garnished very nicely. The prices aren't bad at all either. I would definitely recommend this place and will be returning soon! Also it is BYOB! :) read more
