The first time I went into kitchen 519 was so long ago. I've gone back since then many times and…read moremust say that the food has really upgraded. Out of all of my visits, my favorite is the weekend brunch menu. There are so many yummy things to choose from like the breakfast burrito, the banana Forester French toast, the various of Benedict's including crab, and there were a bunch of various breakfast sandwiches, but the most menu appealing one that I liked is the pork roll. On my last trip I wound getting a chicken brie apples bacon on brioche bread. It was a special of the day. From the moment I bid into it, I knew I would love it for the savoriness, the crisp and sweet tasting bread. There was a side of potatoes... Very nicely seasoned and the perfect crunch to them. On my last visit, it was a total of 10 people in our group and the customer service was great. We were all able to pay with separate checks... Always a perk. The waiter was super super friendly and kept our coffee refills going. Inside it is busy which could lead away from the quiet ambience, but I didn't mind it at all.

Wow, this the dining highlight from my recent visit! I was staying in a West Deptford hotel and…read morethis is not that far away. What a neighborhood gem from service to execution. Former home vibe, i was one of the earliest weekday diners. Since it a solo dinner, I opted for a few sides: Kimchi rice Cucumber salad Brussel sprouts (no meat or butter) The cucumber salad was so good, I ordered a second portion!! The tofu burnt ends and bbq jack fruit sounded so intriguing that I almost begged the kind server to ask the chef if they could serve a side portion. Otherwise the bbq is served in pound increments. For my lucky tummy, they obliged and wow those are both delicious vegan options! Maybe next time, i will visit here earlier during my trip to be able to take home leftovers. Booth was cozy and love that water bottle to refill my glass is on my table which sounds weird but I drink alot of water! Small place , would recommend reservations for weekend dining. Parking lot was limited too. Enjoy!

Kid Rip's Tavern is a really fun spot with great food, a huge bar, and a lively atmosphere. The…read morefood is consistently very good -- the burgers are huge, the fries are amazing, and the crab fries (made with real crab meat) are absolutely delicious... and that's coming from someone who doesn't even like crab all that much. One of the most fun things on the menu is their chicken "thumbs," which are shaped like little hands -- I wish I took a picture because they're great and definitely something you don't see everywhere. Service can be a little hit or miss, but not because the staff isn't working hard -- it's a big place and when it gets busy, it really gets busy, and they sometimes seem a bit understaffed for the rush. That said, everyone is always very friendly, which makes a big difference and keeps the experience positive. They also have a huge bar with several beers on tap, great specialty drinks, and drink specials, so it's a great place to hang out with friends and have a good time. Overall, definitely worth a visit. Just maybe don't go if you're in a big rush -- go when you have time to relax, enjoy the atmosphere, and have a good meal.

I also opted for the elk burger which was very good. The jam.spread they put on there was real good. Also had a Cuban sandwich which was good as well. Great french fries...can't go wrong with fresh cut fries! Good service and good vibe inside. TVs for games, nice bar to sit at.

I come here so much I'll probably just pitch a tent and live here. When I went away for college,…read morethis was my #1 request that I must have when I visit. And now that I'm back in the area, it's like a once a week visit. NEVER EVER disappointed. I don't even know where to start. The service is friendly. The rolls are heavenly. The meat and cheese is fresh, tasty, and they are so generous with it! And sandwhiches aside, have you had the meatballs?!! MY GOD. They only make them on Tuesdays I believe, so we pick some up and do pasta or meatball subs for dinner. They are the best meatballs on the planet, besides the ones your Italian great grandmother makes in Rome I'm sure. OH, and if you're weird like me and enjoy liverwurst, they have the best. I actually can't eat liverwurst from anywhere else now because they all taste like crap in comparison. But I'm sure you're all reading this to see if they skimp ya on the meat... and NO, they do not. Sometimes they put way too much on and I'm like I can make three more sandwhiches out of my one.... and yet I have no shame in eating the whole thing anyway. Hey, everything in moderation... even moderation, am I right? And to keep this rollin', they have so many options for snacks, they have homemade pasta salads, pasta sauces, soups, rice pudding, and seriously, do I need to tell you anymore??? Get in the damn car and go get yourself a hoagie!!!!!

Great, AMAZING, subs! Grew up in Monmouth County in the 70s…read moreand remembered the best subs from Joyce's in Lincroft. Never thought I'd taste anything that could compare, but Somerdale Cold Cuts subs were just as good! Maybe even better, but childhood memories always make things stand apart!
