I think I'm incapable of giving gelato less than 5 stars, but Dolceria also deserves it. Quaint little shop on the main street of Haddonfield. My daughter and I stopped in for a quick hit and were pleasantly surprised at the selection of flavors, the cleanliness of the shop, and the friendly service. The gelato even comes with a little cookie on top. What's not to like?! The inside is a little small, but they have outside seating as well. The price was typical of what you would pay elsewhere. The ice cream is very good, but the problem for me is the hygiene. Every single staff member--including the owner--takes money and then, using that same hand, picks up the cookie and places it on the ice cream without wearing gloves. That is not only disgusting but also disrespectful. read more

What a lovely gelateria! We spotted by after eating in a restaurant near by and this was spectacular! We saw so many people walking around with gelato from this place that we knew we needed to try it and I'm so glad we did. The flavors were phenomenal, I just wish we lived closer. The inside is super cute, equipped with tables and sweet decor, and they also have tables outside which is nice. Look, your gelato is great, and I love being there. But you guys make it difficult to be a loyal customer. Your hours are all messed up online. It says online you close at 8, but sign on your door says that you close on 9. Literally tried getting there yesterday at 8:50pm (beautiful night late May) and you guys are already closed. Two weeks ago, since it said online that you guys are closed at 8, I went to brain freeze at like 8:30 which is way more expensive. Then I was pissed to find out you guys were open all along. I can not get enough of this place. If I am going to collingswood I am 10/10 stopping here for a small gelato. It is as close to Italy as I can get without going to Italy. My first time here I had the privilege to talk with the owner for about 30 minutes. He is the nicest man with so many stories about Italy. I decided to pay this place a visit, since there aren't always a lot of gelato places in the suburbs. I came in on Memorial Day, so it was a nice slow day in downtown Haddonfield. As soon as I walked in, I saw a few small tables as well as very cute decor and merchandise There was a small line as soon as I entered. Considering there was only one employee in the entire store, she was moving pretty quickly and efficiently. I was really impressed to see a wide variety of gelato flavors. When it came my turn, I was greeted very warmly. I decided to go for a medium size cup. This allowed me to try 2 different gelato flavors. I went for the Dulce De Leche flavor and Mascarpone flavor. The total for this medium size was under 6 dollars. While the cup isn't super large, I still found this price to be decent considering how many ice cream shops can really overcharge nowadays. I ended up eating my gelato on a bench outside since the weather was very nice. The quality and flavor of the gelato was impressive. It was decadent and satisfying while also not being extremely heavy on the stomach. I really enjoyed this place. Compared to many city ice cream shops, it's much more accessible and reasonably priced. I'll definitely be paying this place some regular visits when I'm in South Jersey. read more

I loved this place! For the small and medium size cups you get 2 flavors and 3 flavors for the large cup. The gelato and sorbetto flavors are always rotating so the flavor in the picture might not be the same when you go there. I got the medium cup w the mango sorbetto and strawberries and cream gelato. In regards to the gelato, speaking to one of the owners/employees, all the gelato here is created in Italy and shipped over. One of the only dessert places I'm willing to spend my money on. The workers are so nice and friendly and let me try flavours I wasn't familiar with so that I could decide whether or not I liked it. There's a reason for the sea of 5-star reviews. Actually, many reasons. 1. Gelato, obviously. It doesn't matter what flavor you decide on, it's going to be outstanding. Start with free samples if you're undecided. All flavors seem to rotate. So far, my favorites are: - Oreo creme (LOVE!) - New York cheesecake - Strawberries and cream - Stracciatella - Blackberry 2. Macarons. When they have them, these are such a fun buy! I love the vanilla and raspberry the most. Keep track of how many you pick. $$$ adds up fast. 3. Tiramisu. I was just in Italy a couple months ago and had some many of these pretties that I'm surprised I didn't get sick. This one is stellar. 4. Raspberry cookies. I forget what they're called, but they're sticky and sweet and just all-around delicious. 5. Friendly service. Last time I was there, I told the owner I should probably move in. He agreed. 6. Outdoor seating in the summer months! What better way to eat gelato on a warm night? 7. Right on Kings Highway in the center of town. You can even easily walk here from the PATCO if you don't like driving. 8. Monthly specials. Check their chalkboard. In May, they were offering $1 coffees. Pretty cool deal. 9. Open all year. While some shops close up in the winter months, this one decided to OPEN in the dead of winter. And thrived. 10. Support local! Cold Stone used to be across the street and I wasn't sad to see it go. When you shop here, you're not only choosing a high-quality product, buy you're investing in the community. After 2 subsequent visits I'm able to admit that my previous rating of 4 stars was too low. This is definitely 5, and the reasons are not just in the frozen treats. Together we have tasted at least 10 and not a dud in the whole bunch. Dark chocolate and caramel sea salt remain my favorites, but yesterday's strawberries and cream may be tied with either of those. We still have not gotten around to the baked goods. But each visit the temptation increases with new items. It was Trish's willpower and not my own that allowed us to walk out without trying the brownie, chocolate cream cannoli or the Nutella cream puff. Next comes the service and cost. The owner is outgoing and helpful, and somehow can squeeze more Frozen yumminess into your selected size than seems physically possible. The small size us under $4 and is so rich many people will find this is all they need. The last and still important aspect to consider is that they offer free water. So Vince, through a Yelp friend (thanks!), mentioned Gelato Dolceria and we had just so happened to be getting Indian food for lunch (props to IndeBlue!!!) and literally passed it on our way and made a delicious mental note! I kind of choked and just got the Italian chocolate chip. It was pretty good. BUT Vince's . . . OMG - the chocolate - to die for! He also had the salted caramel, which boasted caramel CHUNKs it in - WOW! The owners (seem married) are super nice and knowledgeable and know how to pack their cups! The small is sufficient unless you really have the room & chops. We actually went back after last night's dinner out too. The male remembered us and I'm sure was happy to see us return, and so embarrassingly quickly, so! The actual shop is quite cute, although small. There are maybe 6 small tables (with cubes of 'sugar in the raw') on each table. We didn't partake yet, but their cookies look dynamite as well. I really liked Gelato Dolceria. It is certainly a great addition to Kings Highway in Haddonfield. The gelato is the best I have in the area and as good as anything I have had in the city. The small store is really well done and has a rustic European feel. It actually reminded me of the south of France more then Italy, but both are good in my book. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We had the Banana Dulce De Leche and also the Pistachio. Both flavors were creamy, not overly sweet and fantastic. Next time I need to take a lesson from my man Nando and order the Affogato. Really cute gelato and coffee cafe. Good selection of gelato in generous portions. The staff explained that all the gelatos are imported from Italy and use natural ingredients. The small blue cup was plenty for two to share. Ordered the mint to share. This flavor is water-based (think sorbet) so it was more icy than creamy with really good flavor. I mentioned this to the manager and she then let us sample the dairy-based tiramisu (Amazing!) and stracciatella (WOW!). Super creamy and wonderful flavors. For drinks, they use Lavazza coffee for the espresso. We ordered two cappuccinos and they were both nicely prepared and presented- each served with biscotti. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff.
