We stopped by after grabbing steaks at Gaetano's down the road. There's usually ample parking, although things can get crowded on weekend evenings. We were all able to find ~4 spots, and enjoyed our steaks and some gelati from the backs of our cars. Except in frigid conditions, this place is usually going to have a bit of a line, although not that long, and honestly, you probably need the time to figure out what combination of water ice and soft serve you'll be having this time. First of all, I can't believe they can get that much soft serve on a cone. I ordered a large and it was by far the tallest cone I've ever had. I asked for it dipped in chocolate. I was amazed they could effectively dip a cone that tall. It held up perfectly. And then I couldn't believe how thick the coating was and how chocolatey it tasted. It legitimately tasted like Hersheys to me. And the ice cream itself was as good as any soft serve I've had. It might not be hyperbole to call this the best ice cream cone ever. You approach the window and order, and they have so many options. Milk shakes, sundaes, cones, frozen coffee.... So many delicious cold treats! There are places to sit around the lot, but not too many so you may want to prepare yourself to go. The service was efficient and quick, and the three lines moved quickly. The ambiance will make you feel like you're in an Archie comic! The ice cream is smooth and rich. A small custard stand, but the custard is so nice and soft. Very tasty! Also, tried the strawberry/pineapple dole whip which was really good too (fyi it is not made the same way as the dole whip Disney makes). Will be dreaming of going there again someday (hopefully when it gets warmer out)! I went today and I was next in line and 10 pm hit and they closed the last window in everyone's was and there was a line of at least 20 people. All she had to say was a simple, this is our last customer for the night guys i'm sorry. Not only that but it was past 10 and the open sign is still on and they were clearly not taking anyone else and all the workers had an attitude shaking there head and you could read their body language they all had poor customer service. We are new to the area and were so excited to try this South Jersey institution. It was quite busy, but we had no problem waiting. They handled COVID precautions well and swiftly prepared our order. We both had vanilla soft serve (me in a cone and my husband in a cup) and it was delicious and generously portioned. They even had pup cups for our dog who was THRILLED. If you would like an Extra Thick Milkshake it'll run you an additional $1. For a Cone, anywhere from $2-$4. Those prices range from Cone, Cup or Waffle Cone or a Bowl. The list of desserts goes on from Flurries, Sundaes, Sodas and Floats. By the way, they use Non-Fat Ice Cream. Don't feel guilty. Eat as much as your heart desires. read more
