I absolutely love frozen yogurt!…read more TCBY is temporarily closed so we came here, per Yelp. The frozen yogurt was lacking in it's consistency (too thin) and flavor. Good, but not great. Only one poor young girl was working on a very busy night. WTH?! Daddy O's will do in a pinch.

Got suckered into coming here again, solely on the premise that it's the closest ice cream to me…read more Next time I'm putting my foot down and vetoing that argument. Scoopys just isn't it. They famously have a sign that says they have "over 40 flavors of soft serve!" Me, not being an industry expert on ice cream dispensation, found that claim dubious. How the hell do you have FORTY different soft serve machines?! (I have since studied up on the topic and know that it comes down to a flavor injection process to a base flavor, but I'm telling you all this for a reason....) Despite my reservations, I decided to throw caution to the wind and asked for their "cheesecake" flavor. Yall, it was VANILLA. Straight up, 100% vanilla. Periodt. No cheesecake flavor syrup was dispensed into my base flavor. I got VANILLA. Thank you, have a nice day. So, maybe don't trust their lying ass words. Listen, its ice cream; it can only be so bad. But there are SO many ice cream options around here, that you do not have to settle for vanilla when you wanted cheesecake. AND have to pay cash for it. I'm NOT coming back here.

There's something fun to look at everywhere! Everything from the funky animal stools to the train that runs around the top of the shop. Their favorite part has to be the small diorama set up - they love the little carnival scenes and they spot something new everytime. In addition to the great ice cream and awesome atmosphere, the owner of The Ice Cream Parlour is part of the experience. He clearly loves his shop and interacting with his customers. He even has a prize wheel and prizes for all the kids that come in. There's lots of indoor and outdoor seating and ample parking.

First visit, so I'd like to come a few more times before I really lean into a rating, but for my…read moreone and only visit, it was definitely a 4 star affair. A little old, a little chaotic, The Ice Cream Parlour has a bit of a carnival vibe upon entering. There are tchotchkes galore in here. Toys, novelties, a plaster monkey hanging from the ceiling, lion, elephant, zebra and panda chairs, a prize wheel, etc, etc, etc. All run by an EXTREMELY personable man that chatted us up the entire time we were there...ALMOST to a detriment. They seem to cater to kids, which is awesome, as ice cream is squarely in every child's wheelhouse. Childrens size ice cream COMES with rainbow or chocolate sprinkles, and a free spin on the prize wheel. Speaking of the prize wheel, my daughter offered up her favorite number, 3, ("I love Harper three!") and won a small stuffy when her number hit! It was a cheap little stuffed animal, but it was really cool to have her win something, and it's CERTAINLY not something that Mr. Ice Cream Parlour has to offer. It's a great perk for your price of admission. Inside seating was spacious enough, and there were a few seats outside, but the owner told us that it can get so busy in there that you can't move, so maybe take it to go. I see no reason we wouldn't be back.
