I decided to try The Puddin Palace after hearing good things from several South Jersey locals. The menu offers a wide variety of pudding flavors/combos in offered. Like many dessert spots, there tends to be less flavor availability later in the day as more product sells out. However, the employees are happy to make a fresh version of any sold out flavor as long as the ingredients are on hand. My first visit was around Thanksgiving time after seeing seasonal availability of Sweet Potato Cheesecake. After stopping by to get some, I was a bit bummed that they were only making bulk orders of whole cheesecakes for customers to order ahead. I wish the website had made that information clear. I still picked up a few pudding cups to take home. Since my first visit, I've stopped by a few more times. I've been satisfied with quality and freshness of ingredients every trip. My favorite pudding cups are the Oreo, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Banana Chessman flavors. The Oreo Puddin stands out from similar types I've had elsewhere. The components go perfectly together making it decadent without being overly heavy. The brownie layer always tastes fresh and maintains the perfect texture. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch has the perfect ratio of cereal to pudding creating a perfectly balanced flavor. The caramel sauce also adds a great touch. I enjoy the addition of Chessman cookies in the classic Banana Puddin. They maintain their texture without getting as soggy as vanilla wafers by themselves. Overall, I've enjoyed what I've tried at The Puddin Palace. I do think $10 price per cup is a bit pricey, even for a small business. It's not somewhere I go very regularly, but I think The Puddin Palace has unique offerings compared to other dessert spots in the South Jersey area. read more

Stopped in with my little one on Saturday and MJ was so wonderful! He got a milkshake was so excited to see the process. MJ explained to him how the blades of the blender worked to create a milkshake. I got a banana pudding to go and it was delicious!! I arrived at the store and upon entering was greeted by staff. Friendly staff and answered all our questions. I chose banana pudding and my daughter chose strawberry shortcake. The presentation is awesome. Layered in a plastic cup with a lid. We were given spoons. Next door they a newly opened water icee. I love this place! I love the concept of a pudding bar (make your own pudding). There are options to make your own pudding with their pudding base, toppings, etc. Or you can order one of their many pre-designed pudding cups. All pudding is made fresh to order too. We got the strawberry lemon pudding. It's so good. It was strawberry pudding layered on lemon pound cake with strawberry crumbles on top. So rich! The interior was so pretty, literally felt like a pudding palace (many cute pudding photo op moments). There's indoor seating and outdoor seating. The owner was so sweet and nice!! She actually owns both The Puddin' Palace (puddings and fried desserts) and The Yummies Palace (milkshakes and homemade water ice). You bet we tried both places. They were right next to each other. She mentioned that she does delivery too so even if you can't make it to NJ, make sure to give them a call to see if she delivers to your area!! read more

Good idea...but you ain't ready. I place my order online 1 hour before pick up. So I get there and am told the internet connection is not running but they can pull my order. Ok, cool. Next I'm told they don't have half of the things I ordered. What??? To be fair, I was offered alternatives. Ok, cool. Let's work it out - give me a slice of strawberry shortcake instead of the strawberry cheesecake. Next, I'm told they are out of the apple pie egg Rolls and I would have to wait for the fried Oreos because they didn't turn on the fryers. Huh?? Ask for an Oreo pudding to replace the fried Oreos which I received. Grab my bag and head back to work. Only problem is the cake is not in the bag. So I call and request a refund. I'm told I would receive this from the owner through Cashap. Welp, still waiting. I'm going to chalk this up as a loss because it's only $7.00. The pudding? It's ok.
