a scoop of ice cream in a box

This is the cutest vintage ice cream parlor close by. The staff is super friendly and helpful. My boyfriend and I came here on a Saturday around 4 PM. We were the only ones in the shop to order but once we got our icecream a flood of people came in so we definitely beat the rush. This is definitely a bang for your buck with really tasty icecream. We both got a small in a cup. They give it to you in a little takeout box and with a generous two scoops. Will definitely be returning when in the area.

Ice cream was good there were so many good options, I just stuck to a basic cookies and cream with Oreo crumbs along with a cookies and cream milkshake! It was pretty good and the customer service was very friendly.

I've cream on a freshly baked cookie. Amazing!

Old style ice cream parlor located in a very cute part of town. Serves Basset's famous ice cream with a large selection of flavors. I used to have to travel to Philadelphia for Bassets at Reading Terminal. Order the scookie sundae where a fresh baked cookie is served in a skillet topped with your flavor of ice cream. Amazing! (See pictures). If your hungry, start with some authentic Mexican (4+ Yelp stars on 75+ reviews) just a few doors down.

Last night we wanted something different so we made our way over to Nelly Bly's. We had high hopes with all of the positive reviews from yelp. Stepping into this place is like taking a step back in time. Vintage feel with all the modern flavors. They offer bar seating and an ample amount of tables, including children's tables. They do accept credit cards, a previous review said they didn't. It wasn't very crowded for a warm night but it was busy enough. They have an extensive amount of flavors and they use top quality Bassets ice cream. I believe Bassets has the best ice cream around. It's extremely hard to find. Their prices are a bit high but again, it's quality ice cream. We paid $24.00 for 3 sundaes. Overall I would give Nelly Bly's 4 stars but there was a major issue with my Skookie last night. Yes, I ordered their famous Skookie which is a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie with 2 scoops of ice cream, whipped cream and a cherry. As I said previously the ice cream was good. The cookie was as well until I found my issue. I was shocked to see whipped cream from a can, with the prices I expected fresh whipped cream. My wife's sundae was delicious just as expected. It was banana and coconut ice cream with whipped cream and cherry. I must say though that the owner is extremely nice and when I brought up the issues she was beyond apologetic. She gave us a gift card and some ice cream to take home. She tried to make it right.

A nice antique ice cream parlor that's serving up some delicious dessert. There are many unique & traditional flavors to choose from & a bunch of toppings to add on BUT the best option here is the scookie which is a homemade right on the spot chocolate chip cookie with whatever ice cream & toppings you want on top you'll have to wait 20 minutes for it to be baked but you'll be glad you did!

Get the skookie- which is a skillet cookie- and share it with a friend or your kid. It's so rich and decadent, although we all know the dough is probably Nestle's. Who cares if it tastes amazing piled high with any type of chocolatey or vanilla-y ice cream. I've brought various people here and they're always happy with the decision. It does seem a little bit run-down since it first opened, but who cares when you can eat amazing ice cream desserts.

Took a drive over the bridge to check this place out. Large selection of ice cream flavors, sundaes and other treats. I ordered the skookie which took about 20 mins to come out but it was delicious and we will certainly return.

This ice cream parlor is adorable. Such a quaint small town feel that brings you back to decades long gone. I had the Cookie Monster ice cream it was amazing. Very clean ice cream shop and great customer service too.

How cute is this place?? Visiting family nearby when we decided we wanted ice cream. After an extensive search we stumble upon this place. It wasn't too far. Located in a cute little town right across the bridge from Philly. Stepping into the place was as if we had stepped foot into another time. A chalk board on the wall lists all the ice cream flavors and options. We got a waffle ice cream and a brownie ice cream. Service was so friendly. She answered all our questions and gave us truthful reccommendations. Everything we ordered was delicious. If we are ever in the area and want ice cream we now know where to go.

They had 3 flavors of baklava when I was there: chocolate, pistachio, and walnut. I got pistachio baklava and moose tracks ice cream. The ice cream is standard Hershey's. The baklava was delicious. The gentleman working the counter was friendly and helpful. Not sure what ice cream flavor you want? He'll happily give you a sample. Cute, immaculate small business that's worth a try for dessert. They sell drinks, ice cream by the cup and cone, milkshakes, and (I believe) Turkish desserts/treats. The service was standard, though there was only one person behind the counter so things were moving a little slowly. I got an ice cream flavor called Blue Panda or something along that line. It was pretty good, but rather sweet. The ice cream flavors are partnered with Hershey, so I'm under the impression they don't make the flavors themselves. There's several different flavors/kinds of baklava they sell, and I got the milk and hazelnut one. It was very delicious! I've you've never had it, it was kind of like if a Tres Leches cake and a croissant had a kid. The moose tracks milkshake my mother got just kind of tasted like milk. It was super thin, and didn't have much flavor. I'd suggest they add more ice cream than milk, or state that you want it that way when you order.

So we ended up going today and for 6 people- 3 adults and 3 children we were able to get a mix of ice cream cones, soft and hard serve and 3 water ice for only $11! Which is very cheap! The water ice is from Philadelphia Water Ice Factory and the ice cream is made by Richman's which is really tasty brands. The kiddies were happy with their cotton candy water ice, and we were happy with our mint chocolate chip ice cream and gelati. The employee at the window was very friendly and patient with us since it took some time for a few of the kids to choose. As far as seating it's an outdoor shop and there's only one picnic table that seats about 6 people. Maybe less depending if it's all adults. We would've sat and enjoyed our ice cream longer but had to leave because the trash cans outside were overflowing and weren't changed over- so flies were everywhere. Once we started heading to the car to leave- a man and the woman from inside the window started to change the garbage over. I'd go back again since the prices were good.
