We arrived at noonish and they had 4 tables occupied and it smelled great in there. Nice large booths so we didn't feel cramped and had plenty of room. We started out with an appetizers of edamame and steamed goyoza. The edamame was as expected lightly salted, & fresh. The goyoza was steamed to perfection, excellent taste nice side sweet sauce added the flavor. See image. The wife had the salmon Alvacado roll and volcano roll. She stated the salmon was a nice deep red, which we would expect for a quality sushi grade, and the avocado was aged perfect, not hard, nice and soft and creamy. Her volcano roll she mentioned it was tasty and fresh, the volcano roll her was presented a bit different then other sushi places as it wasn't deep fried with spicy sea leg on top. It showed as a circular plating with crushed panko and the Kani salad on top. We both felt this was much healthier then a deep fried version and she felt it was tasteful and better. See images The kid had the amazing roll, nice plated presentation, the shrimp he said was not overcooked while deep fried and the breading on them was crispy and the tune inside was a excellent color and was a nice cut size, the pepper tuna on top he stated was fresh and sauce and mango & eel sauce was excellent on the sushi and enhanced the flavors. He had the seafood deluxe raman, first time eating raman and ordered it spicy. He stated all the seafood was cooked excellent, the lobster was cooked and cut into bite size chunks and with the spices of the raman, the shrimp, scallops and lobster picked up those flavors and he said was awsome. The learned how to use the raman spoon and roll the raman on his spoon to a nice roll up, and he said the noodles were so soft and he had allot of noodles, his favorite part was the egg and he stated next time he's getting it again, as it was spicy like he requested and it left a wonderful taste upon him. See images I also had the amazing roll and felt the same. In addition I also ordered the Angry dragon roll, the shrimp inside again was cooked to crisp perfection and tast, the tuna inside was a nice deep red and a nice cut portion size.it was topped with spicy crabmeat a nice portion of it to add to the savory flavors along with a nice plating of eel sauce & spicy mayo. Our server Inda? Was so polite and attentive while handling the 4 other tables, she was very friendly and we told her its our first time at the restaurant. My review - ID your looking for a nice clean, friendly restaurant, with friendly staff and excellent sushi, the top grade deep red salmon and perfect tuna along with mouth bursting flavor experience, you need to check out Yuzu. I left feeling Hara Hachi Bu, Even though the ride for us was over and hour, we are adding Yzu to our top tier sushi restaurants that are a must no matter the distance the chef is a Itamae and Gochisousama Deshita For an excellent dishes.

Genji is located inside the Whole Foods in the Ellisburg Circle Shopping Center. (Side note is I…read moregrew up about a mile away from here andI I used to walk or ride my bike to this shopping center.) Anyway, one orders and pays from Genji separately then from Whole Foods. Genji also is credit card only. I have had the ramen a couple of times and it was pretty good but not great. However, it is nice to have this option while in Whole Foods. There are about 5 ramen choices. In addition, Genji offers Bao Buns, Sushi, dumplings and bubble tea. I have had the Bao Buns and their sushi and both again were pretty good. I do find Genji a bit expensive, especially since there is no real servers and the dining/seating area is shared with Whole Foods. There also is a dedicated Ramen shop less the one mile away so I would think their pricing should be more competitive. 3.5 Yelp stars.

Best ramen in the area but not many dedicated ramen joints locally. Very friendly front end staff…read more I had the shoyu ramen and some hibiscus iced tea. Ramen, at least for me and in my humblest of opinions, is affected by the quality of several components. -The richness and depth of flavor of the broth -Texture and way the noodles hold up -appeal of plating -quality of accompaniments -utensils The ramen here is plated nicely, the shoyu egg cooked perfectly and the broth is pretty good - not itoxicasting or addictive like what I have come to expect but pretty good. I give this place extra marks because the execution and eating experience is well above average in thoughtfulness. Your meal comes served on a nice wooden tray, a mini mortar and pestle is provided so that you can grind your own sesame seed, fried garlic and pepper flakes, the soup spoon is a nice size and shallow enough with barely graded circumference of the spoon to prevent chin drips, cuz ummm why waste even one dribble of broth and the chopsticks are nicely ribbed for your eating pleasure. Ahem, no dirty thoughts here, just think about it. Noodles are slippery so the ribbing/design creates the perfect utensil to grab those noodles and transfer with minimum casualty to your anxiously awaiting mouth. All of these factors added up makes Genji Ramen a solid 4 star experience. Don't be skeptical because it is located inside of Whole foods. The dining area is open and great for people watching and you can fill your belly then grab a cart and shop away!!!

Living in South Philly, everyone knows that Ba Le Bakery is the place to get banh mis. But, as good…read moreas they are, sometimes the quality is a little inconsistent. So, I like to check out other places that sell banh mis just to compare. Even though I have ordered from MoonNight several times, I've only ever ordered their banh mis haha. More specifically their lunch special. Their lunch special comes with 1 banh mi + 1 medium drink + 1 pudding for around $15. The restaurant is quite small with very limited seating so I usually prefer to order takeout and I don't prefer to take noodle soups to go. I like the toast on the baguette they use and I think the ratio of toppings to bread is perfect. Food and Drink Ordered: * worth trying - [Chicken Katsu Banh Mi]: I thought that the chicken katsu was a little dry. - [BBQ Chicken Banh Mi*]: The chicken is very juicy and has a good barbecued flavor. It was a pleasant surprise because I originally thought that BBQ chicken was going to mean chicken with BBQ sauce instead of barbequed chicken. - [Green Forest Sunset Tea*]: A subtly sweet raspberry tea with some raspberry pulp. It's very refreshing. - [Egg Pudding*]: I really liked the caramel flavoring of the syrup the pudding was in. It's a bit more firm than most puddings but still very tasty. Would I go back? : It depends. Ba Le Bakery still has a special place in my heart when it comes to banh mis but I do think that MoonNight makes a solid banh mi. Unfortunately, the options are a bit limited and the restaurant is located on a less busy part of East Passyunk Ave, so it's not as convenient to visit.
