What I didn't expect was that the manicure would end up in a very special photo; my partner proposed that weekend, and the nails ended up being part of a moment I'll never forget. I returned today, a week later for a gentle microdermabrasion facial I booked with Christie and was serviced right on time. The spa rooms are in the back of the salon and the area is separated by a lace curtain. Once in the facial room, it felt like any other spa, not like a strip mall nail salon. Christie was professional, and excellent in providing the service. The added bonus of the shoulder, back and décolleté massage while the collagen mask baked was A+. I did need minor extraction and she was able to do them without using any tools. If I were a local, this would be my primary salon for nail and body care. Thank you Ellie and Christine! --four stars because the pedicure service has a few issues. Communication with the tech was a bit off-putting. She has wasn't able to explain the spa pedicure options and wasn't able to tell me in detail what each included. She kept referring me to posters on the wall. On my first visit I was impressed with the decor and staff seems friendly and a large amount of nail colors! She is very meticulous and always pleasant. Even with the differences from the old salon I was pleased until the nail polish chipped off in a week and had to remove the polish! This had never happened before so I took pictures to show her. On my next appointment 2 weeks later I showed the pictures and she said I should have told her and she would've fixed it!!! This next appointment Isabella had a new top coat for me to use and was much better to keep the polish from chipping! I've gotten many compliments on my nails this time! The only downside of this salon is the cost of a regular manicure at $30 I feel is overpriced from the last salon I was at and paying $10 more. Some were great for a short while but after some time started falling short of my standards. That has not been the case here. I have been booking services at Lavo for around 5 months now and my nails have never looked better. For starters, they have an all-star receptionist. She is so kind and helpful and on top of her job! They are a very busy salon and yet I never have trouble booking an appointment. They are as accommodating as can be. Even when they miss my phone call, I instantly receive a call or text back. I have been serviced by several nail technicians and they are all so very talented. I never bother booking with a specific tech because I know that no matter who I see, they will do an amazing job I was recommended doing soft gel manicures and it has been the best decision ever made. My career is very physical so i would often have a lot of wear and tear on my nails but not with soft gel. The gel polish never chips and my nails have never been stronger. I am usually able to go 4 weeks with my nails still looking great but ready for a fill. I love this salon and as long as I live within a drivable distance I will never change. They are cash or zelle/venmo only. So be prepared. And in my opinion they are charging fairly for services considering the quality of the work. Thanks Lavo!
