Based on my first experience I was excited to return to Aria. I was in need of some special me-time so when I saw their Instagram post about their seasonal spa pedicure for Valentines Day, I decided to show some self-love and treat myself!
The spa pedicure was amazing. In my last review I mentioned the massage was very quick during my regular gel pedicure. With the spa pedicure you are getting massage after massage, it was totally relaxing and totally worth the extra $$. There were special soap petals in the water and the tray my nail tech was working off of was super cute with heart dishes holding the special pink products. They even broke out a steamer which I've never had during a pedicure but it was nice and toasty! I absolutely loved this part of my appointment.
As for my manicure, I was happy with the end result and my nail tech was very nice and honest which I appreciate. I won't lie though, I was a little upset because it seems the photo I sent when I booked my appointment was not shown to the nail tech ahead of time, and she seemed uncomfortable with the design I chose. When booking, I asked if this was something that could be done, knowing it looked a bit more complicated, and I was told yes, so it was a bit of a let down that my nail tech didn't even know I had planned to have this specific design at all. I could tell she wasn't sure if she could do the design and I felt bad because honestly it puts her in a tough position since she's customer facing, and it really seemed like a miscommunication that was not at all her fault. I really appreciated that she did try the design even after I told her it wasn't a big deal and wasn't necessary. She was honest and said she didn't like what she did so we compromised on something a little more simple and I was happy with the end result. I do think she handled this situation very professionally, and I don't put her at fault at all.
As someone who doesn't usually do designs I was so embarrassed by this situation, and regretted asking for a design in the first place. This isn't a deal breaker but more of a frustration, for now I will keep my 5 stars because it's possible this was a one-off issue and it was dealt with very professionally by the nail tech who worked very hard throughout my appointment and did a great job. Overall I still had a great experience. read more
