I love it here. I come here every time with my dad and his girlfriend. It's great when you come off the boat/ferry. There is a lot of tacky fish at the front of the bar but it's not overbearing. There are a few claw games jn the back, which is cool if you like them or you have kids. It's actually nice and spacious for a place in fire island. The food is amazing!! I can't get enough of it here. We always get the mussels, which comes in this 'soup', which isn't a soup but that's the only work I could think of. It does come with onions and garlic. It's not a bad combo but I could do without. The mussels are amazing though. We also got the clams as well. Which we get every time we go there. They are amazing as well. The service is great. From the bar to sitting in a seat. The bar backs and waitresses are amazing and very friendly. The owner is awesome as well.

Stay away. "Kismet" is the wrong name for this place. Service sucks here. I saw a couple who were seated after us get their food before we did. I questioned the waitress and she replied with an attitude, "you ordered an appetizer so you gotta give us a sec." Snarky as hell. A "sec"?? We've been sitting here 45 minutes, waiting for cheeseburgers with fries. I guess the owner and manager don't care how rude their staff is or how bad the food is: the baked clams were purely stuffing, not an ounce of clam in sight or in flavor), and only 3 on the plate (the waitress forgot the forks and napkins) because this place is the only food between Robert Moses Field five and Ocean Beach. They know they will make money no matter what kind of snarky teen slings their slop. The manager clearly didn't pay attention to the weather report for this weekend: there were only three people to seat, serve, and bus on a sparkling fall day, probably the last good beach day for 2023 visitors on Fire Island. I won't be going back there again. Our bill was over $73 for cold burgers and fries. Boo hoo, Kismet Inn.

Came here for a break from our hike from Field 5 to Kismet and not too many choices for food as nothing was open and it was either This or pizza. There is a outdoor area for seating with a couple of tables with umbrellas and a couple of shaded tables along the wall. We opted for a table outside. Let me just say that the feed was extremely disappointing and very unfresh. We ordered the mussels which were sandy. The calamari was like rubber and I'm not sure what type of flour they used for the coating. I actually had a stomach from the food afterwards. The only good thing about the meal was the nice cold beer on tap. It's like they have a monopoly in the area since only the pizza place was open and everything else either didn't open til Friday or it was further down and you have to walk there.

It's a quick, easy walk from the beach, and the views are worth it. There was plenty of seating both inside and outside, and it had a fun, laid-back vibe. We started with a Rocket Fuel, which is a must have when anywhere on Fire Island, especially after a hot day! To start, we ordered the Yummy Balls from the sushi menu. They're three crispy rice balls topped with spicy tuna and crunchy bits. They definitely tasted better than they looked! The presentation wasn't anything special, but the flavor was on point. My friend built her own Dive Poke Bowl with tuna. It comes with edamame, avocado, crunch, and lettuce, and everything tasted really fresh. I stole a bite (obviously), and it was really good. I ordered the Blackened Mahi Tacos. They were fresh and the fish was cooked well, but I thought they were a little bland. Nothing a squeeze of lime or a little extra sauce couldn't fix though, I still enjoyed them. The service was quick and friendly. The views are great, the drinks were solid, and the menu has a little bit of everything. It's the perfect spot to end a beach day, whether you're just grabbing a cocktail or staying for dinner!

The portions were very small. I ordered tacos and only received two for $24. The chicken on my…read moresandwich was undercooked, although they did replace it with another sandwich. Overall, I felt the restaurant was overpriced for the quality of the food. The waitress was great, and I have no complaints about the service.
