Creativity Unpinned - July 2021: It needed an exterior pic

This hub of Florida creativity has been in Wiregrass three years; it spent its first year @ a…read morenearby location. Now it's found its niche just down from Barnes and Noble, & it's open 7 days a week. I am SO happy I stopped in to take pics; this locally-owned business was Wendy's dream. It's come to fruition w/ approximately 25 vendors-- most local. Individual arts & craft entrepreneurs rent space here. Their merchandise includes the following, although the list is far from complete: soaps; candles; bath salts; jewelry; handbags; wall art; sculptures; paintings; prints; metal & industrial art & lamps; lighted shadow boxes; wooden bowls & vases; glass art; baby & adult clothing; chocolate gifts; Pampered Chef products; fashion accessories; & so much more! Take a look @ the PICS! With ever-changing merchandise, you'll want to stop in on a regular basis. There are NO CASH REFUNDS offered, so buy carefully. Exchanges w/ the original vendor are possible. I left w/ a fun coaster for a female friend, as well as whimsical Pop Art earrings for me. Prices here were lower than what I expected from this type of shoppe, especially one w/ mall overhead. Staffer Pam was very friendly & helpful. She informed me that art classes are available. Anyone interested can find the monthly schedule thru the shoppe's Facebook page OR stop in to pick up a paper version. All registrants must pay for the class in the shoppe. Phone for more information. An example of a past class: a Sunday 1 PM to 5 PM Fused Glass class for $35; attendees could create a pendant or earrings. The shoppe was very clean, spacious, & well-organized. All the merchandise was priced. Proprietor Wendy is always looking for additional skilled artisans to peddle their creative wares here. I plan to check in every month to see what's been added to the mix. It's a twofer for me-- I get to support talented local artisans as well as a local business owner who offers quality merchandise. Kudos to Wendy & this innovative concept that spotlights local artists! What a PLUS this destination is to the Wesley Chapel area.

I apologize for not remembering the cashiers name...she was very kind and very helpful…read more This is an awesome Store that I like to visit when I'm in the area...very unique items and the prices are very reasonable. I really like this store as I'm always looking for unique things to purchase whether it's for myself or for others. I hope that the artist gets the chain motorcycle that I was looking for back in stock before the holidays. I hadn't received a call yet so I'm assuming that he hasn't made any more yet... the cashier knows what I'm talking about I left my contact information with her and I'm hoping to receive a call.

Goodwill Superstore - Aug 2022: The mission statement. Very busy thrift store w/ a drop-off area on the side of the building

Brand new clothing at Marshall's, Ross, Bealls and TJ Maxx are the same price or a couple dollars more. The clothing is organized by sizes, but often not in the right spot. Good selection of games, but again a bit high on pricing for most things. Examples are open puzzles where you don't know if all the pieces are present for $4 to $5. Some things you can find at the dollar store are $3 here. In the back are DVDs, CDs and record albums. Usually lots of DVDs, but are often scratched and too expensive. The book section is large. They used to separate out children's books but often are just mixed in. It is common they wheel a large cart full of newly donated books and just leave it there. Not only does this block the racks but you can't readily peruse ten deep and sadly books end up damaged. During halloween you can find a huge selection of new stuff. Pricing here can be good compared to competitors. I bought a pirate headpiece right out of Pirates of the Caribbean for $6 that was a hit last year. Bikes are out front and often rusty. Furniture is limited... No couches or larger pieces. Mostly filing cabinets, end tables and chairs. Some art work. Electronics is pretty extensive and they do have a testing station to see if the item works. You cannot return things if they don't so this is the best practice. Good selection of mugs, glasses and kitchen stuff. It is fun to treasure hunt but bargains are getting harder to find. I often leave empty handed.
