Came in to browse. I had a voucher to use and tried looking for something to redeem it for however I couldn't really find anything that I truly needed. They had all of their Halloween decorations out when I was there and great deals on all sorts of things. They have a center section of about 2 aisles that have clearance items. All sorts of paints, Cricut vinyl, crafts, etc. Definitely worth checking out this set of aisles. I really didn't engage with staff but I didn't see any but the 1 clerk in the front at the register. Absolutely the worst service ever at this location! Not a single employee on the floor the whole time I was there which was quite a while. If you have a question, the one employee that they do have will be busy upfront, trying to help people with the self check out Unbelievable. read more

I'm such an artsy dork that I get excited in this store. Michaels is a brilliantly laid out and well organized one stop shop for all of your craft needs. From festive seasonal and holiday decorations to sophisticated office supplies and organizational needs, you'll find it at Michaels. The sales and coupon offerings are incredibly generous. Especially if you're framing or buying frames. Seriously, sign up for their emails and you won't be disappointed. I bought my wedding bouquet at this store. They have elegant arrangements for bridal parties but I found a beautiful white rose and pearl bouquet in the floral aisle for about $17. I wrapped the stems in an ivory satin ribbon for about 80 cents. Not bad considering most florists quoted me well over a hundred bucks for something I planned on tossing into a crowd after holding for 20 minutes. More often you'll find me raiding the scrapbooking sections. I love their gorgeous stock paper, glittery accessories and fun stickers. I'm completely amateur at this, too, which makes Michaels so great. You don't have to be an expert to find your inspiration here. read more

Went into Michael's at Bayport Commons on Hillsborough Avenue today to purchase a few items and use my rewards. For some odd reason there was a problem, but it was solved by Heather, Judy and Justin. They were so helpful and managed to figure out the problem and solve it. As someone who has done customer service for many years, I recognize great customer service when I see it and when employees go above and beyond to help a guest. These people were great and you are lucky to have employees like this. Judy, Heather and Justin were very helpful and are the reason I always come to this Michael's. Michaels stores are always a fun store to browse through. You can find virtually -any- craft item (Save fabric) in them. If you need ribbon, they have it, you need crystals? Got it. Do you need cake decroating supplies? They are here too! I purchased bits and bobs to decorate my new bellydance bra, and I'm sure the 50% ticket really helped with my selection! I really enjoyed that they had a huge selection of things on sale, but even with that, I spent $100.00. read more

I just visited to stroll around with my little one. This is a decent sized Michaels but organized much more differently than I'm used to. That may just take some time as I used to go to the Britton Plaza location constantly. The large seasonal section in the middle is my absolute favorite and I spent the majority of my time here. The biggest concern I have with the store is the service. I was second in line, and the ladies ahead of me were taking their time with trying to argue about coupons. I had to have waited in line for close to or more than 10 minutes. My little one was getting fussy, the line filled up to the end of the aisle they have and still only one cashier. Not once did the cashier acknowledge the growing line. Thankfully, another employee came by and started handling other customers but it took way too long for that to take place. I'm going to hope this was just a one time thing. If the waits continue to be that long, I think I'll start heading to Joann instead. read more

Good craft store! Michaels has a lot of crafting supplies, and is near my home so I like that about it. They carry paint, jewelry, wedding, yarn, baskets, scrapbooking, wood craft, floral, seasonal, baking and more! They do not have any sewing supplies, so you'll need to go elsewhere for that. This store is fairly small, but it almost always gets the job done if you're looking for supplies. Make sure to download the app and use the coupons! I've had several items framed at this store and I am always happy with the result. It's my preferred place for custom framing. While expensive (even with a coupon), it's beautifully done and they make sure to assist you to get the desired result. They communicate well with when it will be ready as well. Much better than Joann's framing section. read more

Occasionally when I'm looking for some unique gift for a family member I will wander into Michaels and see what I can come up with. So, when a coupon came to me by mail, I walked in with an idea in mind to get something framed for my Dad as a Father's Day gift. The girls in the framing department couldn't have been nicer. They helped me pick out a frame and matte color and gave me legitimate advice on what frame to get and why I should get it. They didn't try to sell me anything high-end, they simply told me what frame would look best for what I was trying to do. Michaels was running a buy one get one deal. I had no need for a second frame so they gave me one frame at 50% off, which is way better for someone like me. My order was ready before they said it would be and it came out great. Hats off to the staff at this store for making it very easy for a guy like me who steps foot in here maybe once a year. read more

Walking in a crafting wonderland.... I love this Michaels, truly. I have found some of the prettiest beads and coolest science kits here. Heck, they even have a model kit of that famous ship from Star Trek (my Trekkie husband appreciated that). So why I am I only giving it 4 stars? Blame that on the organization. They have swapped around the departments a few times already, which I understand happens when you need to make room for more awesome stuff. But it does make it hard to find things you've gotten used to the location of, especially when the new section has been ravaged by patrons who don't know how to put things back where they found them. And don't even get me started on the clearance section. It used to be so much neater and not stuck in the back corner of the store like a jungle of random crap. That being said, Michaels is still my go-to arts n' crafts store. The benefits here far outweigh the inconveniences, and they constantly have coupons/sales. Good enough for me! read more

Why do Michael's always seem less organized than Joann's? Why is Michael's always cluttered and dirty? They could learn a thing or two from how Joann's operates. This location is not the exception. Cluttered, unstocked shelves, poor selection. Given the fact that Joann's is only 15 minutes away, I think ill skip Michael's in the future. read more

This location is always clean, and I can find what I need quickly. The staff is always helpful and willing to quickly point me in the right direction. I also never have trouble checking out. The cashiers move people quickly, and if I have a return they quickly process it. I am very happy we have a Michaels located nearby and love checking out there home decor. They have a lot of trending designs for updating your house at a low price. We will be back! read more

I just love going to Michaels. I love doing crafts especially around the holidays, and luckily I live less than 10 minutes away. I can easily find items to decorate my sweet goods with as well as items to package it in. I was pretty impressed with their yarn selection as well looms for knitting. They always have sales going on, especially the seasonal items. Sometimes I forget my coupons but the cashiers are nice and will give you one. Tip- best deals for seasonal items, day after Thanksgiving and Christmas. All seasonal items are 60-70% off. read more

This Michael's location is excellent. They always have what I need and their prices are great. I love their 40% off coupons that you can access via their ap on your smartphone. Staff is always friendly and willing to help. They encourage you to use the coupons and even suggest ways to save more money! I went last night for pre-black Friday specials (I know, I'm one of THOSE people) and everyone working had a smile on and was super accommodating despite the crowds. I am not a craft store person, but needed some pictures framed. I was looking for a framing store, when a friend recommended them. I am an anti-chain store kinda person, so I was very hesitant on trusting them. I will say that, my sales person Kathleen showed me some great ideas. She has a knack for framing, and knows what she is doing. She rocked my world, by the way it came out! She offered me many choices, but her first one was the best. I had 2 pictures to frame and both were beyond my expectations. I have several more to go, but there prices are more then I thought. Be prepared to spend, if you want it done right! I love the pictures I have and want quality, and Kathleen will out preform your expectations! She is not only a worker, she is the framing manager and I see why.
