We found items in the $2 bins for products we use and pay way more for when we order on Amazon. So I did grab those given the discount. The other bins are just hard to explore. Things are in shipping boxes or brown boxes without clear packaging on what the item is. They do have the Amazon sticker so you could scan that to find out but it's going to take time. Staff was friendly and answered our questions. They did have queen mattresses for $300 also.

The…read morestore has a large gaming area, had a broad selection of freebies for Free RPG Day, and Ray was a great GM. My prior experience with Daggerheart was a learn to play session at a convention, and the system did not really grab me, but Ray explained the system well and got everyone into the shared story telling aspect of the game, which is its real strength. Ultimately, Ray ran an amazing session and I left with an appreciation for Daggerheart as a system. The store itself was spacious, clean, and had a large offering of comics, figures, and TTRPG games and accessories. They also have a Warhammer 40K room that has an impressive array of Games Workshop products. The RPG section was smaller, but they had a good variety of RPGs and accessories. I definitely will be back for in-store games and any time I am looking for comics, figures, etc.

It's only a few miles from our house, on Highway 60 in Brandon, so we went during my hour lunch break. The man sitting behind the counter was very pleasant and welcomed us into the store. I am not so much a comic book - action figure - collector as I am a lover of all things 80s, vintage toys and relics of my childhood... And the store called to my 80s childish heart! I didn't have time to look around and explore all of the racks and displays but I could hear three young men also in the store with us ooh-ing and ahh-ing in excitement, around every corner! There jovial pleasure was contagious! I explored a table in the center of the store with all of the new releases of the Funko Pops. The store had a huge variety displayed on the far left wall, that ran nearly the entire length of the store. They had several figurines that I have been looking to collect such as the Garbage Pail Kids, Bob's Big Boy, Twinkie The Kid, Cap'n Crunch and Day-To-Night Barbie (I had this original Barbie when I was in Elementary school!). Since this is a collectible store, I feel it's important to note that any of the items I picked up and looked at were in pristine packaging. I know that is very important to collectors, as I have been one my entire life and know that package condition can make or break a sale! Another plus, they accept Apple Pay :)

My mum wanted a particular coffee maker and we had been driving all over town looking for it, just to find out that everyone was sold out. We came home and in the mail was an Ollie's flyer with an ad for that exact coffee maker! (No wonder no one had it. Ollie's is a discount store, specializing in close-outs.) It was already dinner time and mum was all upset thinking that it would be sold out by the next morning. I told her to call this store to see if they even had any before she started to worry. She called and spoke to someone who said they had a couple and promised they would hold one for her. To be honest, I wasn't that hopeful, but guess what? She showed up in the morning and not only did they have it, it was wrapped up with her name on it and safely stashed under a casher's counter waiting for her. So, besides a just nice place to get cheap snacks, discontinued stuff, and books for kids, it's also a place with really honest workers who go out of their way to make sure an elderly woman gets a coffee maker.

The lady said they had been super busy with the 15% off coupon that was sent to Ollie's Army Rewards members. I also got a 10% off coupon for my shopping level. Wish they would have separated these out so there weren't two coupons both expiring in November. The one thing I came for (protein bars) they had a very limited stock. That is one challenge with Ollie's because merchandise is constantly changing and is different from location to location. If they would cleanup the merchandise and remove the pallets the rating would go from 3 to 4 or 5. Checkout was quick and efficient. The register operator was nice.

For some god for sake'n reason, I wait until the very last minute to get things done, but I always manage to pull off whatever it is I was waiting to do. Of course, this applies to Christmas shopping, and once again I found myself driving around on Christmas Eve with all of the other procrastinators this year. The a-typical thoughts running through my confused brain, where should I go, what do the kids want, and how much am I going to spend with my zeroed out bank balance? The joys of the Christmas season!!! My son is almost 12, and I remember at that age I was fascinated with models (of course the pin-up kind as well) of all kinds, cars and airplanes especially. To be able to craft something with your own two hands is ridiculously fun, and fills you with a great sense of accomplishment. With that in mind, I used my friendly YELP app to do a quick search of the area for a hobby shop. I was shocked to see that there were very limited selections, but one particular place drew my attention, Hobbytown USA. This gem of a store is tucked away in the Brandon Regency Square Mall, right next to the movie theater. Walking into the place felt like being transported back in time, as I immediately felt like a kid again! If you can't find something to buy for one of your kids, or even yourself, then there is definitely something wrong with you. Hobbytown USA is loaded with games, puzzles, remote controlled vehicles (even the outrageously expensive ones that can go faster than your Yugo), model cars, airplanes, tanks, helicopters, including all of the accessories that go with building them (paints, stickers, brushes, glues etc), posters and pictures, and tons of other items. You can literally get lost in there for hours while looking at all of the amazing stuff they have to offer, I know I did (okay, maybe the nerd in me escaped for awhile). What's even better is the incredible staff there that is ridiculously helpful and knowledgeable, and won't try and oversell you. All I can say is that I had an absolutely amazing experience here and that I will definitely be back, next time with my son, as I can't wait to see the look on his face when he sees all of the wonderments abound. If you get the chance, do the same as your kids will have a great time!

I found them because they are the only local retailer I could find that carries Black Oak Workshop dice. The Black Oak Workshop dice were great (I got 2 sets) and they had lots of really beautiful dice sets from other manufacturers if you are looking to add to a collection. Also, they have a good diversity of in-store events like ongoing Dragonbane, Red Dragon Inn, and Shadows of Brimstone campaigns that are open for drop ins. The staff were attentive and friendly, walking around to each table to check on each person and guide them along the process. The work areas were large and it was nice sound with others to guide and help each other also. There really wasn't an overall explanation on how to do the monogram on the box so we struggled with this until a staff member came by and guided us on the process but by then all but 1 monogram was on a box. Wish there would have been just a bit more overall instructions on this is how we put on and take off the monogram. Overall the experience was lovely and I think everyone really enjoyed it. Great place to have a party or come take part in a workshop.
