It's only a few miles from our house, on Highway 60 in Brandon, so we went during my hour lunch break. The man sitting behind the counter was very pleasant and welcomed us into the store. I am not so much a comic book - action figure - collector as I am a lover of all things 80s, vintage toys and relics of my childhood... And the store called to my 80s childish heart! I didn't have time to look around and explore all of the racks and displays but I could hear three young men also in the store with us ooh-ing and ahh-ing in excitement, around every corner! There jovial pleasure was contagious! I explored a table in the center of the store with all of the new releases of the Funko Pops. The store had a huge variety displayed on the far left wall, that ran nearly the entire length of the store. They had several figurines that I have been looking to collect such as the Garbage Pail Kids, Bob's Big Boy, Twinkie The Kid, Cap'n Crunch and Day-To-Night Barbie (I had this original Barbie when I was in Elementary school!). Since this is a collectible store, I feel it's important to note that any of the items I picked up and looked at were in pristine packaging. I know that is very important to collectors, as I have been one my entire life and know that package condition can make or break a sale! Another plus, they accept Apple Pay :)

The owners welcomed me with open arms and showed me around their very organized store. I instantly knew i'd be coming back when new comics drop because they were so nice to me. Anyway, I was looking for Buffy the Vampire Slayer graphic novels. Specifically Season 8 which happens to be the canonical continuation of the TV series. It's no longer published by Dark Horse Comics, and I wasn't about to pay the crazy prices for the ones listed on Amazon. I couldn't find them at first, and had to ask. The store is full of all kinds of comic memorabilia including action figures and games. It was a little overwhelming until I asked specifically where it would be. I was led to a shelf full of Buffy. I found quite a few paperback volumes that I was missing, and they were reasonably priced. They are also having a 30 year anniversary sale this month. I was able to get 30% off the graphic novels. The staff was also friendly and helpful. It's just a great place to get those hard to find items.

This is a cute shop to go in if you're in the market for anything anime. Also have some comic material such as Batman, Star Wars, and Thor. 4 stars only because was a bit frustrating that they wouldn't stamp my daughters reward card because they said it was from the Citrus mall location and they only stamp their location. Umm never had this issue between the Citrus and Premium Outlet locations since it's the same freakin store! But whatever. Took her stamp card from this location and hopefully the others will honor it. Also 4 stars because the girl at the register was just not friendly at all. I liked the selection of comics and graphic novels. They've even got a good amount of hard covers, which is how I collect most of my comics. They have a solid subscription system, with good discounts for doing the automatic charge thing. I might hit up my old comic shop for hard covers because they have a greater selection, but this shop is my new go-to for issue by issue comics.

I go out of my way to come here because the store has an awesome collection of Funko Pops. A whole wall in the store is lined with them. The employees regularly go to Comic Cons across the country, and get limited editions of the Pops, so if you know what you want, and put an order in ahead of time, they will try and get it for you. Most recently I was able to pre-order and then go collect both the "Chase" version and the regular version of the Goose the Cat Funko Pop. So cute! The store is very good about being active on social media, and regularly posts pictures and updates of new merchandise that has arrived.
